  1. [postquote quote=178536][/postquote] That’s against the law in Florida. But just call and I’ll come and get you out. Mike
  2. [postquote quote=177651][/postquote] Like Overland, I have no trouble fitting 3 of these into the basement storage area. Along with 2 5x7 outdoor rugs and room for 2 - 4lb. bags of charcoal. Mike
  3. Thank you for posting this installation. It’s been on my wish list for a while. I missed the BVM 712 on Amazon last December at about $180 and I have been stubbornly waiting for the price to drop again. I should probably raid my piggy bank or start collecting aluminum cans and just pay the extra $25. Thanks again,
  4. Hip hip hooray??? Mike
  5. Now I know why you took out the black tank. It really didn’t make sense to me until you explained your reasoning. Did you remount your inverter on plywood? I seem to remember you mentioned that before. Thanks, Mike
  6. [postquote quote=177285][/postquote] Is it still apart because you haven’t finished installing the NH toilet or are you putting in that new sink/shower combo faucet you wished you had done before? If it’s the faucet, which make and model are you using? Mike
  7. My interpretation of the OP was that the parking pad was low in the back Mike
  8. [postquote quote=177210][/postquote] Sorry I missed your question about the plumbing diagram. Let us know if you have any trouble finding it. Mike
  9. This is from the 2017 LEII manual and it may help your next step.
  10. Well that is the consequence of being happily married. There are lots of options available and I hope you have better luck with tape than I have. My failures are probably a result of my poor installations or overloading. I have had very good success with different suction cups. Mike
  11. Just re-reading the LC post and realized that a picture of the REDARC brake controller I wanted to include was not attached. So here goes?.
  12. Looks like bhncb has you covered so I’m stepping out.
  13. This is a picture of my lead acid batteries. The arrow point to where that cable is connected on my battery bank.
  14. Do you have a multimeter to test the input voltage? The terminals are on the back end of the inverter. Your picture shows the front with the GFCI and a cable plugged into it. You access the back end from the rear seat for the dinette. You have to pull 2 screws out to raise the lid. The back of the inverter will be under the pantry and has a positive and a negative cable as well as a ground wire.
  15. I think that cable with the loop is actually the battery watering hose. You said you fooled with the GFCI switches. Does that mean the one on the inverter and the one under the dinette? From the looks of the terminal on the red cable, it has been connected to something. Can you take a picture with the battery tray pulled out so we can see all of the battery terminals?
  16. Paper Towel Holder Like many OTTO’s, I have had misgivings about drilling holes in our Ollie but I have slowly gotten over it. I have changed out my curb side porch lights and they required new mounting holes. Then I moved my television to the center position and as DavidS mentioned, that job was a big step in getting over the trepidation of drilling holes in fiberglass. So during our trip to the rally and Mississippi and Arkansas we camped without disconnecting the TV several times and since I had less to do setting up, I was often the first into the Ollie and I noticed paper towels unraveled and in the sink or on the floor. When I whined about it, Krunch said suck it up, it happens all the time. Little did I know living in the dark as I do. So the suction cup mounted paper towel holder had to go and I remembered Overland’s posting about the countertop extension and the subsequent postings about paper towel holders. Overland used this one and DavidS used this. I chose the Kamenstein because of DavidS's endorsement. It has a bottom that is pretty flat and it might work with VHB tape, but I was going to screw mount mine. There is a lot of good information in the forum about drilling fiberglass and using fasteners like this post. I have followed the advice of other OTTO's and I am using masking tape to mark my hole location and to minimize gelcoat damage. I mounted my new paper towel holder above the sink where the old suction cup mounted one was located. I started with an 1/8” pilot hole then used a countersink bit. Then used a 3/16” bit and the countersink bit again. And I finished with a 1/4” bit and the countersink bit again. Then I was off to the neighborhood Ace hardware store where I picked up 2- 2 1/2” #10 pan head bolts, 2-#10 fender washers and 2-#10 nylok nuts, all in stainless. And then I found the holy grail, stainless t-nuts. If those would work I wouldn’t need the nylok nuts, but I would need shorter bolts, so I picked up 2- 2" bolts. I was planning to use the pan head bolts inside the upper cabinets and the nylok nuts underneath the paper towel holder to reduce the rubber mat distortion inside the cabinet. With the t-nuts inside the cabinets there is barely a ripple. I did use the fender washers between the bolt head and the paper towel holder base to minimize the bolt penetration and thread lock on the bolts. Hope someone finds this useful. Mike
  17. Although we are not members yet, Harvest Hosts looks like an interesting option when we are destination camping. Later this year we will travel from Florida to Illinois for a family reunion. We will spend a week in Illinois at a state park, so that’s our destination. Our trip up will be a little slower and we will stay in state parks, US Forest areas and COE campgrounds but the return trip will be somewhat of a race. That part of the trip looks like a good time for us to try Harvest Hosts. Good Luck with your new Ollie,

  19. Maverick, My Andersen hitch was purchased from Amazon in January 2018. It came with the black cone and silver whale tale. When Andersen offered the upgrade in late January 2018, I called and they sent me a red cone which I installed. I haven’t experienced any noise with the red cone, but I still can’t turn it by hand. Did your upgrade include the red cone and silver whale tail? And they now have a newer version which was referenced to in an April service bulletin. Mike
  20. At the 1 minute and 4 second mark of the video, as the whale tail is being turned by hand, the voiceover states that production models cant be turned while uncoupled and unloaded. I have never seen a whale tail being turned by hand other than in this video produced by Andersen and mine certainly can’t. Mike
  21. And to add to topgun2's post, here is a YouTube link that shows my method. Which is to connect the longest chain if both will not reach and then pull out turning away from the connected chain. As you will see in the video, it’s pretty easy. Mike
  22. Very nice looking clock. Thanks
  23. [postquote quote=174853][/postquote] [postquote quote=174918][/postquote] I wonder why KWR has multiple remotes and hobo only has one. Mike
  24. That snapshot is from the 2019 Jensen TV manual. Have you read it? If so, does it apply to your television?
