AC power in trailer via shore power on Xantrex only
mossemi replied to Ray Kimsey's topic in General Discussion
That looks like it might be the Xantrex Remote Display Panel in the picture. And I think you are right about the PD5000 Power Distribution Panel and the inability of the Xantrex XC series to supplement the AC load with inverted DC power. Mossey -

AC power in trailer via shore power on Xantrex only

Check out the XC2000 manual, it has some XC3000 information. It’s my experience that Xantrex manuals have usually covered different capacity inverters in the same series. Mossey -
AC power in trailer via shore power on Xantrex only
mossemi replied to Ray Kimsey's topic in General Discussion
Ray's signature indicates he has a 2020 LE2. Oliver university only has Xantrex manuals for the the XC2000 and XC3000 and the remote listed for the 2020 model LE2. The Progressive Dynamics PD9100/PD9200 PD5000 Series AC/DC distribution panel does not have a dedicated charger breaker as my 2017 PD4000 Series does. And the main breaker is 30 amp. The manual says the XC 2000 requires a 30 amp breaker and the XC3000 requires a 50 amp breaker. So my guess is that the the Xantrex equipment installed in Ray's LE2 is a XC2000 and the fact that it doesn’t have a dedicated breaker for the charger in the PD panel leads me to believe that the Xantrex XC2000 is also wired for charging the batteries. This would support the Jason's statement that the Xantrex should always be on. And I would add that it should always be on if you are charging the batteries or using a AC load such as the dehumidifier Ray mentioned. There is also a LBCO or low battery cut off setting from the Xantrex factory at 10.5v. Oliver may or may not have changed that setting. In conclusion, I believe the fluctuations in incoming AC power forced the inverter to supplement the incoming AC with battery power and ran the batteries down to the 10.5v LBCO setting which then shut of the inverter, creating the condition Ray first reported. I will also add my standard disclaimer: I have not read the entire XC2000 manual or looked at a 2020 LE2 wiring diagram, so I may be totally wrong, in which case I will say "Mea culpa”. Mossey -
An electric Brat? Count me in! Mossey

Yes, it is neat and it might make hooking up an Ollie easier and cause some jaw dropping at the same time. Mossey

I don’t pay too much attention to tow vehicle topics on the forum, but I am watching the Tampa Bay Rays in the World Series and just saw the Hummer Electric Truck commercial. I didn’t remember seeing any discussion about it here previously, so I searched the forum and didn’t see any topics about it here. This surprised me because you guys are normally pretty talkative about trucks and I think any truck with 1000 HP might get at least a whisper, even if it is electric. Mossey

carnivore, Not sure if I shared this picture with you. It's under the rear dinette seat and mounted against the battery box wall. Mossey

The black tank flush hose connection is located in the area of the forward dinette seat at the bottom of the hull. Mossey -

I’ll bet you a cup of coffee that it will be either of these MaxxFan models if in fact your information is correct. Mossey -
Try searching for the word skiing. Then sort through the 27 responses for member DonnaDuane. Send him a PM and he might be able to help with your request. Mossey

My measurements tell me that the propane tank cover is too tall for the bike bunk to fit over it. You could move it forward to just behind the jack and your bikes would be forward of the jack. The real problem is the A-frame mounting requires notching the fiberglass. And the bike bunk is rated for 100 lbs which you have already stated is useless. Mossey A raised receiver on the “A” frame is the perfect place to put your bikes. Our Bike Bunk allows any RV approved bike rack designed for a 2″ receiver to fit. Your application will be determined by the turning radius and positioning of the rack. Supports up to 100 lbs. Critical Dimensions: 33.5″ from the top of your trailer A-frame to the top of the Bike Bunk cross tube, 29” from the top of your trailer A-frame to the bottom of the receiver tube on the cross tube. Due to the bent design on the vertical bent posts, lower pockets can be mounted on your A-frame at widths varying from 14″ to 55″. Accommodates max A-frame bar height of 6″.

I am attaching a couple of photos for your information. One is specific to the 12v DC cord that connects to the tow vehicle. The other is of the 120v AC wiring. From your description of the results of the incident, I would expect that the was a short in the 12v DC system created by the damaged cable or plug. Was the plug replaced? Was the cable replaced or a damaged portion cutoff? Do you have the skill set and tools to do any testing? I am not sure about a 2015 LE2 but the following applies to my 2017 LE2. There are 12v DC breakers in the attic, which is the upper cabinet above the back window. There are also 12v DC fuses and 120v AC breakers under the dinette. Can you verify if they are working? We will await your response. Mossey

I installed 2 standard Battle Born batteries, but prepared for a 3rd in the future. One problem I ran into was with the positive battery cable would not lay correctly with a straight lug. I replaced it with a 45° lug which routed the cable toward the cable gland instead of the back wall, which reduced the strain on the battery terminal. Good luck, Mossey

I’m not sure if you were asking for information about PDI or not, but the following link will provide some additional information. Their phone support is excellent and a call provided all the information I needed. https://www.progressivedyn.com/support-manuals-troubleshooting-guides/ The previously posted picture for Leisure Time Distributing has a phone number in it and they are very helpful and a great company to deal with. I would guess from the above statement that you have never seen the 1.25" attachment point of the rear receiver Oliver is installing. I don’t know anything about the cost of 2” aluminum tubing, but I would guess that there is about 3 times as much aluminum in Oliver’s version of the 1.25" receiver than there is in a 2" tube of the same length with a .25" wall thickness.
