  1. Those are Woodland Caribou and they can only be found in Newfoundland.
  2. @Galway Girl You may have covered this somewhere else if so Im sorry just havent seen it mentioned anywhere. What did you use on the front of your Oliver and how did you attach it?
  3. My gas furnace at home was doing this every couple seasons and it has always been the flame sensor. I just started cleaning it before I start to use it each year at home and so far no problems. I am not familiar with your furnace but it should have a flame sensor and it sounds like the exact same problems I was having. If you can find the flame sensor it is easy to clean. Sorry couldnt be more help.
  4. If you do not have one yet, I believe John Davies has his up for sale. Not sure you would get a better trailer.
  5. This trip and an Alaskan adventure are on the top of our lists. Thanks for all the wonderful pics and information on camp grounds!! Enjoy the rest of your trip and Safe Travels.
  6. This is just my opinion. At some point you have to make decisions. At some point you are going to say "man if I just waited". I have a 2022 Oliver, sure we wish the Truma was available when I purchased mine but the one I have does the job. I also learned on here about alternatives if I wish to upgrade. We are still using our Oliver in the summer even with the Dometic, we just run it alittle before we come in for the evening to cool off the place. When we purchased our Oliver we made a decision to change the "status quo" for us and begin to discover things and places we always heard about but have never experienced. I cant imagine owning an Oliver and barely using it. We both still work and yet spent many weekends in state parks near us enjoying the Oliver and outdoors. If you are looking for reasons to sell it then sell it.
  7. We have a 36" Blackstone at home and love it. We purchased the 22" Blackstone for the Oliver, probably could have gotten by with 17" but so far we have plenty of space in the truck. We have hoses to connect to Oliver propane as well as hoses for external propane supply.
  8. So glad you were not hurt or worse with this accident!! We can get our Oliver's replaced in the end. Enjoy your new Ollie and Safe Travels.
  9. Congratulations and like others have said, just take it all in and enjoy!! Its been less than a year for us and we have learned so much. Ditto on the Pin, next stop Tractor Supply
  10. @Steve Morris Shawna and I will be back in E21 for next years rally. Looking forward to the get together this fall!!
  11. This was our first travel trailer, had only tent camped many years ago with the kids. Being new to all this and alittle nervous when we actually picked it up and then out on our own I figured it might be a good idea to video the delivery. As they went over all the options and how things worked on the trailer I had my wife video all of it. We stayed at the Oliver campground Friday and Saturday checking things out then went to spend a night at Davey Crockett with eventually ending up at a COE campground in Mississippi. During our initial trip(s) we would look at each other and ask, "what did he say about that" and would just go look at the video. Don't be afraid to ask all the questions you have. The delivery folks at Oliver were very understanding. Good Luck and Safe Travels !!
  12. Love the drone pics. Now if you can just help me convince Shawna I need one...lol
  13. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Anita and family.
  14. Congrats on your new Ollie!! Checklists have saved me in just the few times we have been out, setting up and taking down, Our first multi-day stay was at a COE in the northern part of Mississippi and we got a spot right on the water. About 30 minutes after we get setup a nice man came paddling up in a kayak and asked us how we liked our Oliver. Turns out he used to work for Oliver a few years back, He even offered assistance if we needed any during that weekend.
  15. We seem to get the ice storms in southern Ohio a few times in the winter. Good - beautiful scenery ... Bad - loss of power, horrible driving conditions
  16. I have been to Albuquerque many times but it been a few years now and never the balloon fiesta. I would be very interested in going in the next couple of years. Any advice on where to stay etc would be very much appreciated.
  17. Hello Rene and welcome !! I think you made an excellent choice!! I found these forums very helpful in my search then in my options. Don't be afraid to reach out to members on here. They have been very helpful with my questions.
  18. A quick look on the internet I found this https://www.ford-trucks.com/specs/2006-2/2006-ford-f-150-specifications/ Without knowing more about your TV I would say looking at these charts that towing the Elite ll might be more than your TV should tow. I know I would not want to tow with that. I think the Elite ll weighs almost 5000lbs empty. I figure that after we put our things in our that we are pushing 6000 lbs.
  19. We will be in E21 for the rally. We love music but my talent ends at sitting around listening lol.
  20. Just an FYI for some. We tow with a 2014 F150 Crew Cab with 6.5ft bed with the 3.5L Eco Boost. We have the max towing package and heavy duty payload package. The Max payload for our is just over 1800lbs. I think I was pretty close to that when we left Ohio to pick up our Oliver last July..lol. We have the Anderson and the Oliver tows great. Towing we get about 12 mpg, alittle better on the back roads. Without towing around 17 here in the only hills in Ohio. I have had zero problems with the 3.5 so far. Not sure the life expectancy of that engine but so far so good. It will be more expensive to fix than the V8 but I hope I dont have to find that out. We plan to start taking longer trips (multiple weeks) in the next year or two so I will probably be looking to upgrade myself. Currently the TV has just over 152K miles but runs like a champ. My decision is go with newer F150 or move up to 3/4 and then of course gas vs diesel. If you research this there has to be hundreds of articles or videos on that alone. As many has said "comes down to personal preference and planned usage"
  21. I am not sure how it happened. I asked the Service Department if it could have been something I did. The ball was loose. Service had seen it before and just replaced it. No problems since.
  22. Congratulations from Hull 1182!! I also recommend staying in the area if at all possible. We stayed at Davey Crockett State Park for a couple days and on to a nice COE in Northern Mississippi. We spent about 5 days total. We returned to Oliver to purchase a rug my wife saw and asked a couple questions about things that happened, just wanted to make sure I understood. They did replace the ball on the anderson hitch that failed as well as address a flickering light (occasionally) in the bathroom overhead storage area. Both fixes were done right there, no waiting. I am learning more and more and feeling more comfortable each time out about how things work. This is our first travel trailer so we were alittle overwhelmed at first. Enjoy and Safe Travels
