  1. John, That link was extremely helpful for someone like me who is new to weight distribution hitches. Thank you for posting, David
  2. I agree with trainman. When it comes to safety in general, I would much rather have it and possibly never need it, than need it and wish I had it. I prefer to error on the side of caution. Enjoy that beautiful Ollie and Happy Camping! -Patriot
  3. John, Great review with photos! Werner makes very nice high quality ladders. Looks like Home Depot carries it locally. David
  4. Jitters, I ordered a set of these, thank you for the link. Patriot
  5. On February 11 during our previous visit to Oliver, Anita told us we would be taking delivery at the new sales office/service center in mid May. We are looking forward to delivery of Hull #634 and a hopefully a tour of the new facility. A few pics- with big wow factor!
  6. Here’s the tool bag I purchased today. Nothing super high dollar but will carry all the essential tools I may need. Over 1000 positive reviews so it can’t be too bad. $15.00 - 20% coupon, light enough to carry https://www.harborfreight.com/16-in-tool-bag-with-6-pockets-63637.html?_br_psugg_q=tool+bag
  7. A humorous reminder (if it’s not you) to double check a bridge clearance. When in doubt check it out.
  8. Overland, excellent write up. I have been thinking about reorganizing a tool bag(s) for our Ollie which begins goes into the production line next week. I have time, but need to get busy organizing a tool bag. Your exceptionally detailed post is extremely helpful, thank you. Patriot
  9. My extra SLO BLO Fuses arrived today. I hope we never have a need for them.
  10. Mike and Carol, Ordered. Thank you for the recommendation and solid feedback. David
  11. Congratulations on your build date! March 12 build date here, and look forward to seeing you at the rally. David & Kathy
  12. Just thinking about our Oliver family and our neighbors in middle Tennessee this morning after a tornado hit Nashville. Our thoughts and prayers are lifted for you. Stay Tennessee strong! David & Kathy Austin
  13. John, Now that appears to be a neat little utility trailer and space saver to boot! Apogee will likely do well in the US market. I believe my 14’ Aluma was right around $3k after a bit of haggling as individual dealers set their own prices. This could likely be due to how many units ordered by a dealer and shipping costs from the Aluma plant to the dealer. -David
  14. Hi John, I own a 2018 14’ Aluma utility trailer (UTR14) and have been very happy with it. I use it to haul my 1025R when I need to have it serviced or when hauling mulch for our blueberry grove. A very nice light weight utility trailer. It is kept garaged when not in use. I would not hesitate to purchase an Aluma trailer again. Trying to find a used Aluma can be challenging, I could not so I purchased new. -David
  15. Here is the link which I ordered a few spare 30 amp SLO BLO fuses (BK-MDL-30) from in advance of taking delivery of our Ollie in May. Hope this helps. https://www.mouser.com/ProductDetail/Bussmann-Eaton/BK-MDL-30?qs=LpXnx4WbYtBNkVBbf00eIQ==&fbclid=IwAR21oQIxbMZJ3zFCt7Vp9TtT3cM7PfbNEPGlLg-5bOPTLfnK4ZyT3SN-eP8 -David
  16. CedarForks, It was nice speaking with you this evening. Per my phone call with you, I will purchase the cover. Thank you, David Austin
  17. DJM, I was quoted $1060.00 shipped to my zip code by this company. Custom fit to the Oliver. Others may chime in with another brand. Topgun2 told me about Calmark covers. I will be ordering from them at some point. Naturally off season your order gets fulfilled quicker. Best to call and check with them. Hope this helps. https://calmarkcovers.com
  18. Yes, excellent write up and repair John. Well done!
  19. Welcome! We are new to OTT as well and continue to learn from forum members here. Our delivery is schedule for mid May. Look forward to seeing you at the rally! -David
  20. Welcome! Exciting news for you! I can say this forum has been an immense help to us as I feel sure it will be to you. Lots of knowledge being passed forward here. Congrats on your build! David & Kathy
  21. We purchased this Zamp 90 watt mobile suitcase and the 25’ extension for our previous camper and never used it. The controller is preset for AGM batteries. The carrying case is very well made for storage and travel. The waterproof controller is preset for AGM batteries from the factory. I do like that ZAMP is US made. 🇺🇸 -David
  22. I cannot speak for other brand trucks, but have owned Toyota trucks since purchasing my first new one back in 1989. I have been brand loyal since do to reliability and overall cost to own. I have never experienced a catastrophic breakdown or been left sitting on the roadside. Recalls really have been minimal and once notified have been taken care of timely. I presently own a Tundra Platinum Crew Max that has been extremely reliable and would not hesitate to purchase another one. This is what works best for our needs as I have to have the reliability and tow package boxes checked. It will tow the OLEll we have on order with relative ease. As John Davies stated, you have plenty of time to do your due diligence and determine what will suit your needs best. Your in the drivers seat, “pun intended”, enjoy your time researching the TV that suits your needs best!
  23. I managed to keep our two old XM Roady 2’s from our former long distance dual sport motorcycling days. I hope that someday we can get XM set up in the Ollie we now have on order. Look forward to seeing a few XM set ups when we attend the May rally. -Patriot
