Yeah, its camping and as we all know weather happens, and naturally not all travel and camping is fair weather. The blessed/best part about it is everyone got through it unscathed and with no damage or injuries. Really just a good reminder for all Oliver owners to always stay dialed in and weather aware. Our SL mini was on point helping us monitor conditions. The bright side, today is going to be absolutely a gorgeous sunny day here and I am glad we are not leaving until Monday morning. As for storm pics, I don’t think given the intensity of the wind, hard rain, lightening, light hail and strong winds anyone was out taking photos. Everyone seemed grateful for being spared from weather that could have really gotten ugly in the blink of an eye. Grateful here! Onward! 🇺🇸

Despite a little wind, small hail and wet weather, we all survived and look at it as a great exercise in boon docking.😄 Overall it was really so good to see old friends and make a few new friends. And speaking of old friends one of our favorites made it to the rally this year. So good to see and love on Miss Anita!

Our Truma recall is being taken care this afternoon here at the rally as well 👍🏻. Yet another solid example of Oliver stepping up and doing all they can to take care of their customers/owners. Agreed, if stolen it’s a useless brick to a thief, but a hassle to replace for sure. Good point! 👍🏻Last fall during our 48 day trip out west thankfully, we never had an issue. SL is really becoming a part of RVing. So glad we have it!

Arrived at LGSP today after a leisurely drive from Murphy, NC. Beautiful weather and we really enjoyed the Trail of Tears route. As always the check in staff here were super nice. I think we counted 6 0r 7 Olivers here in the park on this evenings walk. The security gate as you enter the park is not working so no pass code to enter for now. Landed at Rivers Edge CG in Cherokee County, Murphy, NC. Concrete pad, F/H and a nice place to overnight on our way to LGSP. It’s good to be back on the road and traveling again. The lodge has breakfast and dinner available, naturally pay as you go. We typically skip lunch and enjoy a late breakfast and dinner at our site. Always been a big George Straight fan….true country music. Fond memories of Gruene Hall, a small venue in New Bruanfels, Texas. It’s where I proposed to my bride before being deployed to the Gulf War. We are still fans of the late Hal Ketchum and were regulars supporters of his music.
