  1. We use a couple of these “therma cells”. I can say they do work, and have served us well. Typically just turn it on set it next to our camp chair and no mosquitos. Strong reviews too! https://www.amazon.com/Thermacell-Cartridge-Repellent-Protection-Mosquito-Free/dp/B07JCQ8GQJ/ref=sr_1_2?dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.
  2. GJ, You bet! My kit is pretty basic and simple. Several shark bite fittings, a pex cutter from Harbor freight, two 3’ lengths of blue and red pex which I store in our Olivers closet. Naturally pex tubing can be picked up at Lowe’s, or most hardware stores in short 3’ lengths along with the below shark bite fittings and pex cutter. I just never like to be “flapping” if I can prep a little and fix it myself. Or even better, help someone else out. Two is one and one is none.👍🏻 Shark bite fittings https://www.amazon.com/s https://www.harborfreight.com/finger-release-ratcheting-pvc-pipe-cutter-62588. or here- https://www.amazon.com/Bates-Choice-Pro-pipe-cutters/dp/B09BVXZBLN/ref=sr
  3. @jd1923 Check ALL your white compression fittings. And like Mike said a blue paper towel is your friend and will really help identify the culprit. Before, after and even periodically while traveling I always make it a point to pull the hatches and check the compression fittings especially the ones that are in the very belly of the hull. Vibration is no friend to these compression fittings. Once in a while I will find that one or two not completely loose but do need snugging up by hand only. I also carry a shark bite and pex tubing repair kit. Good to hear that those stainless steel “scuppers” are doing their job allowing the water exit the belly of the beast.
  4. John, Hoping all goes well with Lou and his staff with your install. Maybe post up on how the install goes? I think you will be very happy with the Alcan leaf pack, HD shackles and wet bolts. Oliver Service might be able to ship you a jack pad/steel foot or for the bottom of your stabilizer or front jack. Or better yet a local RV shop may have a spare. I would consider using a little blue locktite on the fastener to secure it. Safe Travels!
  5. And campfire stories..
  6. These black end caps are Oliver OEM. You must be talking about the brass end caps that the black caps screw into. I attach the brass end caps you see in pic to my fresh water hose or filter connection for ease of quick connect. When breaking base camp, I just screw the black end caps and secure for travel. Agreed, the Ely fittings must have 1% gold flake in them 😄, they sure are proud of them. Looking good JD! Mod On! 😎

  13. We had the Truma retro fit install and it does use the OEM condensate drain line and works great. We have never had any ponding of water on the roof, but we always level during set up. If your Truma ponds up you may have a kink in one of your condensate lines. I remember actually speaking with the Oliver tech “Tucker” about this prior to install and he assured me he would take extra care making sure this was a non issue and that the lines/drain tubes were not kinked during the retrofit. Oh those little details.
  14. Same here Mike. We hike, deer, dove and pheasant hunt, fish, target practice, shoot skeet, cycle, and are all in for all in for enjoying the great outdoors. Heck we even flew in an open cockpit 1929 biplane a few years ago in Rhinebeck, NY. Ha! 33 years in and very grateful. Retirement is a beautiful thing and I highly recommend it!
  15. RV lock was one of the first top 5 mods I installed on our Oliver. 5 years later it still works perfectly, has served us well and so convenient. I did replace the original key pad with the new updated silicone rubber key pad. Highly recommend based on our use and experience.
  16. It’s a night and day difference, wise choice and welcome to the forum! I also see you have added a bunch of nice upgrades to your Oliver, well done! 👍🏻
  17. By the way, thank you for your honorable service to our great country! 🇺🇸👍🏻
  18. Welcome aboard and congrats on your new Oliver! Try and make it to the rally if you can! Lake Guntersville is a beautiful SP! Now is a great time to draft a camp arrival set up and departure check list so you don’t forget the small and oh so important details! Onward!
  19. Congrats on your new to you Oliver and welcome to the forum. Try and make the rally if your time allows. Lake Guntersville SP is a beautiful park! G&P fan here ha!
  20. That is my dive plan Art. I plan to squeeze everything I can out of my present AGMs. We shall see.
  21. Welcome to the forum and congrats on your new to you Oliver. Hull #634 XPLOR. Safe Travels!
  22. I agree with new tanks at the 10 year mark. What could possibly go wrong? 😄
  23. Gary, I would suggest you try using a heat gun on low or hair dryer first. If that does not work try using Goo Gone decal remover or WD40 and a plastic razor blade, very carefully scrape away decal. A few years ago, I had to remove and replace a small graphic on our “grocery getter” older pick up truck. It was a tedious job to say the least, but the Goo Gone really did a great job of getting the residual glue off the painted surface and did not harm the clear coat. WD40 also works well with decal and adhesive removal also. Suggest then you throughly clean the area with warm soapy water, rinse, dry, wax and add ceramic coat to the area after adding your new graphics. I do know from experience warm sunny days are your friend when removing decals and adhesives. There maybe be other suggestions, but this method has worked well for me. There is also a decal remover wheel that you can buy and use with a hand drill. I have never used this method and not sure how it would work on gelcoat. It appears to have strong reviews. 24. It does from me too. 😊 🇺🇸
  25. Also important to note LGSP use to allow just a 1 day deposit for your site for the following years rally registration. Last year when making our reservations for the 2025 rally, we learned the park changed their policy and now you must be paid in full when you reserve your site for the entire stay at the rally. @MAX Burner great reminder on the military discount. 👍🏻🫡🇺🇸 Looking forward to seeing everyone at this year’s rally! 🇺🇸
