Maybe do a search for dimmable touch lights puck. I came up with this. I'm sure there are more. We have certain essential lights on our boat, both dimmable and color changing (red doesn't interfere as much with night vision when sailing). Replace a few, turn the rest off, is what I'd do.

We've used a bulldog collar, towing or not, plus a ball type lock while camped, for 16 seasons. More locks to defeat, more time needed for the jerk... Some people also deploy locks or chains on wheels. We don't.

Good idea.

Keep your carry list as short as possible, as @AlbertNTerri suggested, imo. Whatever you being, make sure you know how to use it. There's so much to learn about your new Oliver, you don't need another "learning curve" thrown into the mix. We camped one night near new owners. Their suv was so chockablock full, they couldn't find breakfast supplies, coffee maker, or paper plates. Way too much. Label bins with contents. Pack the bins so stuff you'll need the first night is easily accessible. (Bedding, clothes for a few days, towels, meds, entry mat, rugs, bulldog collar lock, pot and pan, dishes/paper plates, silverware, bottle of champagne, etc.) If your TV is a pickup, as many of us use, carry a foldable two step footstool and a boathook or similar to pull stuff forward. Saves some aggravation. As @Patriotsaid, try EVERY button and system before you leave Oliver, or a close-by park . Even if it's 95, make sure you run the heater, and know how. If it's 32 degrees, don't skip the step of testing ac. You may want to just treat yourself to dinner out the first night. Most of the restaurants in Hohenwald are surprisingly good, for a little town. And Hohenwald people have been very friendly and nice to us, over the years.

If you mean you ran the inverter, and just ran two small 110 fans, i think you may have an issue. Please complete your signature. Many lithium require full charge within a period of time to properly register "full charge" status. Even our Bluesky, with agm batteries, requires hitting 100 per cent charge to show proper readings after a disconnect. Kind of a "reset" situation. You may also have a wiring issue.

We see this all the time. Empty sites. Ghosted. Stiffer cancellation penalties might fix it. The thing is, we rarely camp in our home state (Florida) because it's so difficult to get a site, in season. As in most states, our state taxes support the parks. Along with camping fees. I'd say better plan is charge extra for out of state users. Especially at prime sites . I've met Canadian campers who have told me they sit up and wait for reservations to open at midnight, months ahead. Not my deal. Not gonna do it. Too many things can happen in 10 or 11 months. But, our put of state visitor folks will make those plans, a year ahead.

Very pretty! Nice work. Where do you stow the plant when you're towing? I love basil, and I'd love to carry a plant with me.

Please, open a service ticket, and get checked locally. If you only picked up last fall, you're still under warranty

We eschew the auto changeover. Switch when one is empty Fill the empty. wWe run a hand over the tanks, to feel the difference in temp. Modern gadgets probably work better.

Imo, current TV is really big, and heavy. Old school corner hung jensen,,very small, guessing 14 inch, has never been an issue. But then, I'm not a TV person. We've only used it a handful of times. I don't go camping to watch TV. Don't watch it much at him, either.

Spotted a really old Ollie in Tillamook OR
SeaDawg replied to John E Davies's topic in General Discussion
In Florida, at Publix, we can get a few Tillamook products. Such great fresh taste. Love them. -
Our outside faucet has also been replaced. We didn't winterize, thinking we'd be ok, but not...so, oh well... C'est le vie. Our original was plastic, as well. No big difference. We rarely use it, anyway. Our interior bath scandvik is still good. A few tiny cosmetic spots that I could probably clear with some work. We'll see. The cheaper plastic set in the boat has some degradation. Florida weather. 15 years. I'll take it. Oliver chooses best stuff. We have been very happy with our gear, 16 seasons.

The fuse is accessible without disassembling, which is another nice feature in ours. Less than $100, on etrailer. https://www.etrailer.com/RV-Vents-and-Fans/MAXXAIR/MA00-03810W.html?feed=npn&utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=Google | Shop - RV Vents and Fans&adgroupid=81219729010&campaignid=417623777&creative=404001548849&device=m&devicemodel=&feeditemid=&keyword=&loc_interest_ms=&loc_physical_ms=1026083&matchtype=&network=g&placement=&position=&gclid=Cj0KCQjwmtGjBhDhARIsAEqfDEeBTUCRhW2dwZMF-AYYM2dLpNLgnV17aD5HcsrVq-qdF5xP-juVaNIaAirSEALw_wcB

Wow. Great idea! And, it's quite beautiful. Did you build it yourself? Nice work! (Many of us do not use the television. I honestly wish Oliver would take it out of standard options, and make it an option. We have only used the TV a few times, in 16 seasons. If and when it dies, it will not be replaced.)

We've had the maxxair for a few years now, with the led light ring. Best upgrade. (Our decade old ventline was leaking.) We installed the maxxair with butyl tape. Trimmed the outside with marine caulk. Love it, as you do. Love, love the light. Our handle release is more difficult than the old ventline, but we can live with that. It's a two hand operation. The fan is higher cfm. And very, very quiet. Highly recommend it.

Anything under 41 is probably foodsafe. Where is your thermometer? If it's on the door, move it to the interior. Imo

So, the upgrade is to the charger? -
has anyone tried the new Dometic fresh jet 2200?
SeaDawg replied to Roadlotus's topic in Ollie Modifications
Our smaller Houghton doesn't have one. I think the bigger Houghton has a heat pump. The Truma? I don't know. Heat strip or heat pump? @Patriot can fill us in, I'm sure. Will be good to know about features vs cost, etc. Would be really great if the freshjet hooks up with the condensate drain. Thanks, @Roadlotus, for asking all the questions. -
has anyone tried the new Dometic fresh jet 2200?
SeaDawg replied to Roadlotus's topic in Ollie Modifications
@Roadlotus, does this price include the new interior unit/Adu, as well? I usually see Dometic units priced separately, since many can be used with a ducted system. If so, that's a great price. (The Houghton we bought included both units in the quoted price.) @Patriot, I'm curious about the fiberglass work necessary for your Truma upgrade. It seems as though all the rooftop units and vents these days are sized for the standard 14 x 14 opening. What did Oliver have to do for the Truma? When we installed our Houghton, we had to file and square up a jagged corner or two, but that was it. -
And, we would be remiss if we didn't remember Tina Turner. We lost another amazing female performer yesterday, at age 83. I'm linking a video from just a few years back. We could all just hope that we'd have her energy and love at her age. You can Google a zillion performances of Proud Mary, but this is amazing.

A member sent me a pm a few weeks back, asking about the "quote" function. It is really useful to keep comments and replies in context with the right post, and it's used frequently, but some folks aren't experienced in using it. So, for "new to forums" members, here's a brief "how to." Two ways to use "quote" on my phone: Quote the entire post (which is sometimes too much), click on the quote button on the bottom of the post, and the software will open a new post for you. Easy peasy. You can delete part of the quoted post, as you wish... OR, on a phone or other touch screen, you can touch, hold, and highlight the section you wish to respond to, and then select quote (not copy), and a new reply box will open with your abbreviated quote.

So, we are (finally) getting an early summer rain storm, which we sorely need. Of course reminds me of one of my favorite artists. My little dog is so afraid of thunder and rain. Maybe I'll play this pretty loud on the TV so she can't hear the storm... 🤔
