Book #3 has launched! (And the two camping books are still available - thank you Ollie owners for all your support.) This one is for anyone who was ever in the band, chorus, orchestra, musical theater group, etc. amzn.to/3yCBrA6

Ditto to everything that Mighty Mo said above. I love the clean, serene vibe - easy to clean, well constructed.

This couple is traveling with a baby and has some good videos. We met them at a campground in New Hampshire. https://www.youtube.com/@Wanderlocal

I'll be ordering some more copies later this month to have available for signed copies/gift purchases. Please let me know if you'd like me to save some for you or send you some sample entries. Or if you don't need a signed copy you can order on Amazon at amzn.to/3k9UTgu or at Baker Book House: https://bakerbookhouse.com/products/398023

If you're still there, we've enjoyed renting kayaks at Lazy Otter in Mills River, also hiking at Devil's Courthouse and other hikes nearby.

Girl scouts? Do you remember "make new friends, but keep the old?"
Nancy K. replied to SeaDawg's topic in Submit Your Story
Yes, all those Girl Scout songs go through my head while hiking.... "I love to go a wandering along the mountain track And as I go I love to sing, my knapsack on my back Valderi, Valedera, Valdera Valde ha ha ha ha ha ha Valderi, Valdera my knapsack on my back (The Happy Wanderer by Friedn W. Welcome! As you watch the Oliver University videos, start a running list of questions that you have, organized by section of the trailer. Then during delivery you won't forget to ask them in the midst of all the info that is coming at you at once.

One handy accessory that I made is a bag to hold plastic grocery bags to use for trash. It hangs from a hook that we installed high up in the closet.

I paid $3.79 for regular this morning. Fuquay-Varina, NC (south of Raleigh)

Welcome from a retired middle school English teacher!

Looks suspicious to me! We'll be at Mt. Pisgah later in July. We really enjoyed it last year. Had to walk across the road to the chairs behind the Mt. Pisgah Inn to check our email... Did some great hikes and also rented a canoe from Lazy Otter Outfitters in Mills River.

Heading to Mt. Pisgah again later this summer, hope we get the nice weather that you had!
-
StillGame, I can bring Ticket to Ride. I'll also bring Blokus and SkyJo because they are fast games if you just want a quick game.
-
Leo, sounds good. We are in E33.

When you go to NY, don't miss Watkins Glen. We stayed in the local town park campground. Hiked the Glen early in the morning to avoid crowds.
-
I'm hoping a few people might want to gather for a game night (or game afternoon). I enjoy Blokus, SkyJo, and Trekking the National Parks. I can also bring Ticket to Ride or Settlers of Catan if anyone is interested in those. Please let me know your preferences as I don't plan to pack that many games.

There are some Harvest Hosts sites in the Fort Myers area.

Can't believe it's been a whole year since my book was published! Thanks so much for the support of so many of you. I will have copies of the book and the companion book Joy by a Roaring Campfire: Devotions for Campers at the upcoming rally. We'll be in site E33.

Researching before making a purchase. Interest is boondocking......
Nancy K. replied to TomW's topic in Introduce Yourself
Always be sure you double check the main door lock before traveling. I neglected to lock one time and the door came open in the middle of downtown Jacksonville, FL. We had to pull over in fierce traffic and get it closed and locked.
