  1. NO; But thanks for asking...
  2. For what it is worth, Here is the Batt Arrangement on a 2020 (09/10) delivery Hull # 665. I do not know if you can see, but there is a rubber padding between the Battery Restraint (Strap) Hooks and the Batteries. layout of Batt's on 2020 Hull # 665 Batt Harness passing thru compartment walls
  3. TG (Bill), Have you gone out to the Garmin site to upgrade maps/sw since you received it? No matter how new these products are, they seem to need updates by the time you purchase/install it. Mine should arrive this week. It will be going into our 2010 GMC 1500. I will look into the mount you have, and maybe swing it to the “CO-PILOT/NAVIGATOR side of the Cab”. Its either that or being reminded to “KEEP YOUR EYES ON THE !@#$%^&* ROAD”. I choose the more calming option. We both work on setting up routes using the PC/SW at home when planning, but travelling… not my job. If we want to modify a route ahead of time, we try to do that “out of the Cab”. However that does not stop us from spontaneously going on a “Mr. Toads Wild Ride”, but isn’t that is part of the adventure.
  4. John, et. al., We picked up our 2020 OLE II Hull # 665 Sept 10th. Prior to us signing on the dotted line, we had a factory tour. I thought during the tour, Jason(?) mentioned that Oliver had made significant improvements as to the way the electrical harness's for the Ollie were now being assembled. My question is; Are the "Rats Nests" mentioned by some across the various wiring topics "Sins of the Past" or still being committed today? I have not seen anything that rises to the previous descriptions by those more experienced than myself of the internals of the Oliver, in the few familiarization inspections I have made, when trying to visualize what is being discussed, and whether or not I wish to partake in that fun... However I still enjoy reading and trying to understand all mods & improvements that many of you are discussing and doing. Regards, Bryan
  5. John TY TY TY, I was looking for something along this line. Especially the 2 & 3 Tabs. Maggie said we could $ave Money by buying an Oliver, and now i will track it and show here how much we will be $aving... I too will keep a paper log... which is an empty printout of the TAB, and i will fill it in each day. when we eventually return home, then i will transfer it to excel.
  6. Greetings from North Dakota.

  8. Question Mark, Greetings from Hull#665. Nice pics, makes us want to add that to our southern route this spring.
  9. for what it is worth... at 2200 hrs CST Amazon (Chuckstovoll's link above) shows them back at $899.
  10. Thank You John, "• The solar PV system is located at your primary or secondary residence in the United States,". So our RV's are considered a qualifying "Secondary Residences"??? Having recently retired, I was trying to simplify my life by shifting concern from "Qualified Deductions & Tax Credits" to dealing with all the Passive/Unearned Income. (insert smart-ass smiley face here). Here I thought Wifey bought it to just "Get-US-Away" from home and enjoy the Great Outdoors. I am new to all this, so I guess I will be checking with my Accountant on leveraging Tax Advantages of owning an RV. Not Complaining, but Sheesh... As Usual, Regards Bryan
  11. TOPGUN2 , Then why are you not out camping??? We are at 26F and were thinking of going to the Quonset and sleeping in SNYSDUP, just to deal with Camping Withdraw.... After the meal of course.
  12. i would like to replace my Garmin 2460 LMT, looking at the Garmin RV 890 what is with this review? https://www.amazon.com/gp/customer-reviews/R2FF00MNJWBPSW/ref=cm_cr_dp_d_rvw_ttl?ie=UTF8&ASIN=B089DMTQFT "I have spent several hours trying to upload maps to this device from Good Sam and fro RV trip apps using the Garmin drive app. IT DOES NOT WORK - do not spend the money for this device>" Reading the RV890 manual, i am not seeing that you can upload non *.GPX maps (www.mapstogo.com), Am i missing something? later edit - the reviewer was experiencing a Hardware error, "NUT LOOSE ON THE KEYBOARD..." Maps he was trying to upload were not Compatible with Garmin Software. FYI - the manual can be located at https://cs1.0ps.us/pdf/opplanet-garmin-rv-890-owners-manual-pdf.pdf
  13. Happy Thanksgiving to All. Cooking at home, whilst it is snowing outside. Bryan & Maggie
  14. At 6'7", I have learned to live with banging, scraping, gouging, slicing my head on things around me, when I have two feet on the ground. In addition, I no longer hesitate to help when asked if I can reach something on a high shelf by a total stranger in a store. It is something that comes with the territory or altitude. The clearance in the Ollie is something my wife & I discussed at length, she researched all the dimensions, and asked me if it would be an issue before we made the decision to travel to Hohenwald. At the factory, we walked thru an OLE II, I rubbed my head on the A/C unit to see how much damage would be self-inflicted. I sat down and got up to see if I would hit my head on the overhead cabinets, above the beds and dinette, well… NOT if I remembered to close them before I sat down. The Shower is a bit tight, but hey, I have had less room in worse showers. I am able to sleep diagonally in the “Twin Bed” arrangement, and if I get a cramp in my leg at night, I just stretch out and press against the wall. Getting in & out the front door, does require ATTENTION; notice the padding on the inside above the door… half the job of padding the doorway is already done. Have I banged my head in the Ollie... YES, but that would happen on many trailers, and they are NOT an OLLIE. I have learned to adapt to the world designed for people shorter than myself, and momentary lapses remind me there is more to be aware of… I have also learned to wear a cap; it softens the blow and absorbs the blood. That said; I would rather bang my head on an Ollie whilst out camping or on vacation, than at home. Respectfully, Bryan
  15. The back of our T-V bed is where we put two e-bikes. We break them down and cable-lock them into the D-Rings on the inside of the bed. I pull the Batteries, and put them inside the truck in the rear passenger area. For pedal bikes, I loosen the handle bars, and turn to be parallel to the front wheel. If I really want to reduce the profile, I remove the pedals... We also carry some additional items in the bed with the bikes. At this time, we have a soft tonneau (roll-up) cover, as far as I am concerned, they help with wind dynamics vs. an open bed. However, they are not secure and can be breached by anyone wanting to get in there. There are some hard panel bed covers tonneau that may be a bit more secure; however again, if someone wants to get in and see what is “under the cover”, they can do it. That said, we are looking at a “Topper” with side and rear entry, they are more aerodynamic than the tonneau covers. and buffet wind for the Ollie. If we want to ride bikes we are probably untethered from the Ollie, and we would go into thru the rear of the topper to access the bikes. The topper I am looking for has compartments inside the side entry, which keeps those things off the T-V bed & bikes. Now as far as security on the topper, I am looking at locking T-handles, which you can lock in the flush position. I am not fretting over if someone wants to gain access, as much as I am making sure I have quick & easy access to the things I need that are carried in the bed.
  16. OKAY, I think I have it. Thanks to all who contributed. Last question, do I leave the Battery breaker (in the front compartment of the Street-side bed) 'Tripped' for the winter (non-use) to have minimum draw or reset it. If I trip the Battery Breaker does that negate any benefit of supplying 'winter power' via the Furrion shore line input.
  17. Mike & Carol, Thanks for the reply So you have a (F) adapter that plugs into the Furrion 30a Power Inlet of the trailer, which then has a STD. 120V 3-prong (M) plug. Is this one you built, or one you purchase.
  18. We have Hull #665, so we are newbies. We are now at the end of 'our' (western ND) camping season, and "SNYSDUP" is resting in a heated (45-50 deg.) Quonset for the winter. The Quonset is dark, no ambient light, except when we enter and turn on the overheads. I have std. 120 power, but do not have 30 Amp circuit wired in yet, so no shoreline connection at this time. My question is what kind of ‘winter’ Battery Maintenance I need to be mindful of, so we are ready to go this next Camping season. - We have the (4) 12V AGP setup, with the Solar, - I have tripped the Battery breaker in the front compartment of the Street-side bed, - I purchased a NAPA (90-510) Batt Charger, which is a 12V 10A charger. I connected it as the instructions said, but wondering if that was a good option, so I have disconnected it for now until I get some weigh-in from others on the Forum. - I seem to remember a discussion thread about using a ‘Smart Charger’ or ‘Battery Minder’, but not finding that specific thread when I search the forum. - If I get a ‘Minder’ what would the recommended Output Amp (2, 4, 6 >?) be? - Is the charger I have @ 10A, okay to top off the Batteries when we are getting ready to go camping again? this Forum is Great, learned so much, from hundreds of accumulated years of just Ollie Camping experiences.
