  1. For those companies, which have a good reputation for "Service", I believe asking YOU to cut the power cord is their way of making sure you do not use it again. Returning power cord & info on model/SN, and sending you a replacement unit is a lot cheaper than the alternative. It also gives them a good rep with owners/new customers/forums like this. Words; Get around.
  2. The signature track (all are good), off of a GREAT Album. So much Great Music... So Little Time!!!
  3. this is what i am seeing. Home Forums Activity Service
  4. Susan & Ray, Please let us know how those Electric Water Connections work out.😬 We are waiting for a full write up & Pictures... Remember we all love pictures. 🤣
  5. JD, I am assuming that this is a view from the top into the bathroom vanity. Within the black circle, are bolts like this covered on the protruding end, so they do not rub/abrade the water lines or wiring, or is the distance enough, so no problemo... Finally, is that (yellow) romex in that area. i have not seen any yet, in the few areas i have been looking into, but maybe i am just looking enough, or need to pay attention.
  6. "WE" were probably advised to do the above at pick-up day, but that among others... did not sink in... so we were struggling to get the "A" plate in position for each setup of towing & camping. I always used a rubber mallet... but a 2-3 pound mal would have worked better, but we all know that is not the thing to do. Then about the 4th site breaking camp and struggling to get the plate on, a wonderful (are there any other type of Ollie Owners...) couple (a shout-out to Laura & Tim) from FL, said they connected ball to hitch and then lifted the front end of the TT up just an inch or so, (it was like someone showed me how to start the motor on a CHAINSAW to cut wood) how easy everything slipped into place "YES"... From then on we have not had any trouble attaching the "A" plate, or lining up the safety pin underneath the plate, the same when we unhitch. And to make a short story even longer... It has occurred to me that on your pick-up day, your TV will probably be loaded down with things that would normally go in your TT. So when the nice OTT person telling you everything you need to know, but cannot possibly remember. YUP, the one under the OTT adjusting the chain tension for the "A" Hitch, it may be that that adjustment is good for "Right Then" but as soon as you offload from the TV to the TT... it needs to be re-adjusted. I plan to hookup and re-adjust "our" chain tension with what would be the items we now normally carry in the back of the TV as well as the items we now have in the TT. Regards,
  7. does this relive/release some "Back Pressure" and allow for the "Hand Pump" to pull-push the anti-freeze into the lines?
  8. OKAY - A couple more, but i really have to get back to whatever i was doing before this offramp. Sadly Brenda passed before we saw her. LSBM, we did see, in fact were invited back stage to meet them at a small college appearance on their first American tour. i guess they just wanted to talk to 3 pasty white Canadians and 1 Norwegian... you would have thought my in laws were meeting the HRH ER II... and finally, just to keep the folks up in North Dakota on their toes and wondering WITW is going on... Also great Road Music, Whilst sipping COFFEE and PULLING "SNY SD UP". "All Genre All the Time" Music the Language of the Universe...
  9. I will probably get scolded for this... JD - do you have one of these yet???
  10. I feel like a "High School Custodian" with all the Keys I now carry. I try to group them, Drive time, Setup, day-to-day camping. Maggie has dups in case I cannot find my Prevagen...
  11. although we have not experienced this, we have a "Hurricane Lint Lizard - Lint Dryer Vacuum Attachment", which we use "as directed", it is good for getting in difficult places.
  12. I second the recommendation to TRNP, There is a North Unit & a South Unit of the Theodore Roosevelt NP, in ND. The North & South Units have primitive sites, which I believe are all pull thru. i know the North Unit has a dump station. There are some great hiking trails, with spectacular geological formations and lots of wildlife. The south unit is more developed; it has the town of Medora in it. If you are interested in a “Western Theme” you will enjoy it. And If you are into it, the Medora Musical is a great show. There is a "Pitch Fork" Fondue, not to be missed. You can Camp at the South Unit, Hike, View the Wildlife, and if you want excitement, go into Medora. The North & South Units are accessed by completely different roads. the only way to get from one to another is over the Maah Daah Hey (Mountain Bike) Trail. if you want to do this, read up on it. it is rated difficult. but you do not have to try it all at one time. Do not take selfies with the BUFFALO, they are NOT POSERS...
  13. AH-HA the every mystifying "Search"... here are a few that will dredge up some additional deterrents. as well as some comments from the OTTO's (Oliver Travel Trailer Owners) as to their experiences. Anti-theft securing valuables security locks Lock You will also see other topics pop up, but that is because sometimes we (Just might) morph a conversation tread onto another topic. Only to be reigned in by our wonderful Moderators to "Start a new Thread", just so the SEARCH will find these little nuggets.
  14. This is a common (thread) question, and a couple of devices mentioned before are as follows. Amazon.com: REESE Towpower 72783 Universal Coupler Lock, Adjustable Storage Security, Heavy-Duty Steel: Automotive Amazon.com: Master Lock - Universal Size Fits 1-7/8", 2", and 2-5/16" Couplers - Trailer Locks #389DAT: Automotive Variations of these can be found on the AZMN website, so you will have a choice. The Yellow & Red are colors that show up from a distance, and say "this wont be easy-peazy", to those that are looking for an opportunity. Comments from others may show preference. Some on the forum have commented they have camped for years, and never had any issues. For what it is worth, I just bought the “red” one, I may use it when boon docking, but probably not when in a regular sited campground. John Davies (“JD”) has I believe a ball-bering (2" ?) that fits into the ball of the hitch, then locks the hitch. Another thing I started doing (based on comments of JD) is to lock my hitch safety latch “Whilst Towing”, just to make sure that it does not (very un-likely) spring open while under way, or to make sure no one just happened to lift it just for bad…fun. If someone wants something that is not theirs bad enough, they will go to great lengths to get it. And with all the battery power tools with cut-off wheels, no matter what you do, it may not stop them. What you want to do is show them, it is not going to be easy if they pick you. You should have Travel Trailer Insurance (another thread to search), and you deal with a theft it if it ever happens. just do not let it bother you every time you unhook from the trailer. In the meantime, ask away (you have hundreds of years of experience here) and do searches on the Forum and ENJOY CAMPING IN YOUR OLLIE...
  15. One of my favorite. But I have many & varied genre I listen to.
  16. Asking for myself... If you pull your batteries and bring them home, do you put them on wood (Work Bench or 2x4's) or just on the garage floor. I have heard from some that leaving on garage floor has no adverse effect on them. Others have told me “insulate them from the “Earth”. What is the “Life Experience” of the forum members on this?
  17. Cool, I 2nd, 3rd, & 4th the sentiments above. We were a Sept 2020 PU date, and all but one of the issues we had were associated with understanding what we were reading/viewing from Ollie Univ. And the Library they give you with the delivery. The only Non-User issue we had, Ollie Service was able to explain how to resolve, and I fixed it and we were good. If you actually have a Non-User issue, well OTT Service is a phone call away (and if you are at DCSP, a short trip away), and they will walk you thru a resolution or be "Opening up a Ticket , to resolve it. On the Forums, describing your issue will either get you a helpful response towards resolution or a recommendation to call Customer Service and open a Ticket. The more experienced owners on this forum know the difference between something which can be fixed via Forum Discussion and an Issue that needs to be resolved by Oliver. If a company does not stand With You on a major purchase and follow through with Customer Service, then word gets out, and they will lose their base and future customers and they will go out of business, simple as that. So far all I have seen is “Oliver is in this for the Future". I kind of equate new OTT ownership to Parenting; well at least for the first born, you have 9 months to prepare, and then the delivery day arrives and Holy-Cow what do we do now . Oh Yah, I remember reading about that, or I remember seeing that... Oh is that what they meant??? The one good thing you have available to you here on the Forum, is a lot Aunties & Uncles that have many hundreds of years accumulations of Ollie Parenting. So you can always Crowdsource for the resolution. And if you are into Mod's, well chances are someone (JD et. al.) has thought about it, is working on it, or has Dun-It... And with each Mod, comes a new variation, which garners accolades from others. I look at the OTT Forums as the Test Lab for possible future OTT enhancements, and the Future is Exciting. My buck-two-eighty-five's worth, now we are just waiting for "Oliver TT Weather"... Bryan
  18. I had this issue, on the "City Water" connection. I bought a 1/2" hex socket attachment and tightened it up. All other similar connections were tight and no issues with any of them since.
  19. being a newbie, we will be bringing our Vornado Mdl: EH1-0012. there are newer models out there now. about 5 yo. but very nice.
  20. -23° and Winds Calm. Uff da AND I CANNOT WAIT FOR SPRING AND "OLLIE TIME".
  21. TV is in un🥶heated garage, that we need to remedy... Sny Sd Up is hibernating in a heated😛 Quonset. I have removed e-bike batts & the Garmin gps's just to be safe, and to begin 😀 to load 2021 routes. TV & non-tv have block heaters plugged in.
  22. We have had a very mild winter up to a few weeks ago. little to no snow, and temps in the 25-45 range. then winter arrived and you have all read about what it is doing east & south of ND. A lot of people do not think much about the cold in ND, because that is a given... If we do not get a lot more snow or spring rains, then the (dryland farmers) up here will be hurting. right now a number of them are down in AZ in their 2nd homes working on their golf games and evening out their "Farmer Tan's". So i only feel for those that winter over because they had to stay here and take care of the "Beef". To keep this comment "On Topic", when they start to head back up here to "Go to Work", we will be heading south, to "Start our Camping Season". 🤣
