  1. I’ve never tried to run either grill on 2 regulators. I took the regulator off of the Weber, it was mounted to the grill. The regulator on the Blackstone is on the hose. I have hoses with and without regulators so I can run either off of the tanks on the Oliver or off of a separate 20lb tank that I carry for the fire pit. If I use the Oliver quick connects I use a hose with no regulator. If I use the separate tank then I use a hose with a regulator. This arrangement has worked well for years. Mike
  2. When we were shopping for a trailer in 2014/15 Airstream was really the only thing we were considering. There were some posts on AirForums about quality and issues which were concerning. Then, in one of those threads someone mentioned Oliver. I did a web search and the rest is history. Mike
  3. Happy 4th everyone! Glad to have an Oliver to be able to see this great nation. Mike
  4. I’m in the WD40 camp. I always carry a can in the truck so it’s handy when I need it. Mike
  5. Welcome! You’ve got a classic trailer! Mike
  6. It’s okay to defend AS or point out updates. While they have some nice features they are struggling with overall quality and reliability. Thanks for the flooring update. Mike
  7. I like the wood look, Foy does a great job. I think the extra inches on the table top will make a huge difference. Mike
  8. When I connect my Weber Q1000 to the quick connects on our Oliver it seems that the flame is low at first but after 5 minutes or so it’s plenty hot enough to grill. I’ve read where some folks enlarge every tenth hole of the burner to increase the heat. I haven’t tried that yet. I’ve use our Weber for 5 years with good results. Mike
  9. I’ll be interested in the tanks sizes for this 23’.
  10. I don’t consider my Oliver “old” or even “older” although it is over 5 years old with over 60K miles on it. Comments while out camping are that it looks new and most are surprised at its age. Wash and wax after each trip and it will keep its shiny new look. Mike
  11. It looks like a nice trailer for those without the $$ to get an Oliver. Interesting how much less it weighs than an EII for about the same size. Mike
  12. We run our Weber Q1000 and Blackstone off the Oliver quick connects. If I run them off of a separate 20lb tank I use a hose with a regulator. Are you saying there are portable grills that don’t need to be regulated? Mike
  13. Our window gaskets are black and we’ve not had any problems with them, no bleeding or streaks. I did have black streaks from the gaskets on the porch lights. I finally replaced the lights and cut my own gaskets out of a sheet of rubber and haven’t had any bleeding since. Mike
  14. There is not much maintenance on the factory solar. I wash it when we return from a trip. That’s about it. I’m up there cleaning the roof anyway, so it’s not a big deal. I’ve never done anything while on the road. Mike
  15. Welcome MJ. You’ve come to the right place to find out about Olivers. Olivers are built better but don’t have the interior “bling” that an AS does. We have some former AS owners so maybe they will chime in. Mike
  16. Ummm, I wonder what is being said over on the Escape forums….
  17. We stay at around 65 on the interstate except in west Texas when the speed limit goes up to 85, then we do 70 so we’re not a traffic impediment. Mileage is around 14-16. Cummins 6.7 diesel. Mike
  18. Dan, we have the factory panels installed on our 2016. We’ve never had an issue with crosswinds or vibrations. We’ve driven through some pretty fierce winds in west Texas that prompted a lot of 18 wheelers to pull over. No vibrations either. We’ve also camped in some pretty strong winds, gusts up to 60 mph one night in southern AZ. No panel issues. I wash the panels and roof after every trip so I’m up there a lot and haven’t seen any mounting issues. I do check the T knobs while I’m up there and they’ve always been tight. Mike
  19. Dan, feel free to invite him to join this forum. He appears to have a great deal of expertise that might benefit all of us. Plus, if I needed an install I would definitely talk to him. Mike
  20. Our Dometic 3-way has been going strong for over 5 years, no issues. Not sure what we’ll do when it is worn out. Mike
  21. The Dometic works most efficiently on propane. If you want to cool it down quickly use propane. It will take a couple of days using 110V to get it cool. We use propane for the initial cooling then switch to 110V if we have it. It’s on propane while we drive. Mike
  22. Ours has been that way since my last post above and has worked flawlessly.
  23. I have a Weber Q1000 that I use with our quick connect. It came with a regulator that I removed and replaced with a quick connect fitting. I also have a Blackstone grill that came with a propane hose with a regulator. I bought a propane hose that has a quick connect on one end and a screw in connector on the other end. So, if I want to use either with the Oliver quick connect I use a hose with no regulator. If I want to use either with a separate propane tank I use a hose with the regulator. Propane Guys have a nice selection of hoses and Amazon also has a decent selection. Mike
  24. I can tell you that when we ordered in 2015 the base price for an Elite II was 46K. Over the years as the base price increased, so did standard features. The trailer is basically the same, shell and frame, but upgrades to suspension (Dexter) and internal components have been made. That’s why older trailers often sell for more than they did when new, especially if the owner has kept up with some of the improvements. Mike
  25. We’re leaving July 6 for Maine. We will be going through Ohio, hope they aren’t “red” after the weekend! We usually fill when we get to half, at our age we need to stop anyway! 🤪
