Excited and thankful Newbie owner to be !!
topgun2 replied to Dream Girl's topic in Introduce Yourself
Welcome to the family and for the nice comments. Since you have found the Forum I assume that you are already familiar with the Oliver University. If not - there is a ton of important information there that will help you when you get your Oliver. Let us know if you have questions! Bill -
Since the year 2000 it has been recommended that at 3pm (local time) every American pause for at least one minute to remember. Certainly even with all of the "other" things that we have to do we can all find that one minute out of our busy day to remember.

Seal the rear Oliver Light (re-caulk?)
topgun2 replied to Wayfinder's topic in Mechanical & Technical Tips
There are several owners that over the years have changed the "Oliver" on that lens to say something else - in my case "Twist". A local sign shop can easily make up a decal that will fit the space and say what you want. Bill -
Is "No Propane" and Total Solar possible?
topgun2 replied to AriesBarb's topic in Mechanical & Technical Tips
Before I found Oliver I took a look at the Little Snoozy camper (made in South Carolina). While a few owners of the Snoozy have put propane into that camper, they do not come from the factory with any propane connections in them - they are all electric (kind of). I understand that with a relatively recent change of ownership they are (or are intending to) offer a solar option. If, indeed, your intent is to never boondock or only boondock for very short periods of time going all electric is possible even without spending copious amounts of money on solar. Bill -
Coffee, beer, wine, nachos, Cheetos, popcorn and donuts. If my wife is coming along then some other stuff. 😇

Yep! Most of the people in camp grounds are there to - camp? When I camp I certainly have a bunch to do - make the fire, make the meal, go for a hike, catch that last fish, lay in the hammock, drink that adult beverage, and the list goes on and on - it just never ends! The gall, the nerve of some people making me wait for them to back into a site! Don't they understand that I've got things to do which are certainly much more important than their backing safely into a site? Courtesy? Politeness? Concern for my fellow human? Nah - I've got "really important" things to do.😬

Don't EVER let someone rush you - that is really when bad things happen. Usually a smile and a wave will settle things down a bit, but, having someone(s) watching you only adds to the amount of pressure that you may be feeling. So, the answer to your question is - it depends. Its all good advice from those above depending on the particular situation. Bill

Ralph - You might want to PM Patriot in that he recently replaced one of his "touch lights" to see if he has any pointers for you. Bill

Jim - I, for one, certainly do not mind those photos - very nicely done! Bill

Just watch out for that "dog"!😵

I know the feeling - sort of.... On interstate 70 just west of Warrenton, MO (St. Louis area), there is a Pilot gas station. It simply doesn't matter if I need gas or not, I just got to stop - they have fresh Kettle Corn! After all, ya can't eat a pocket knife. 🤩

BoB - Exactly why do you keep picking the lower of the two numbers?😁 Is traffic EVER not weird?🙄

This is a wonderful opportunity for both those attending and anyone interested in Olivers to share information, share mods, share a common interest and simply camp with other like-minded individuals (at least regarding Olivers). Hopefully the weather will shine on you and all will be safe in coming and going - ENJOY! Bill

I'd give it a try with that light NOT lit and see what happens. -

Interesting in that every one I've ever seen was green or not lit at all. Bill -

Perhaps a dumb question, but, you do have the "booster" on in the attic? I believe that it will be a little black button that when pushed lights up a little green LED right above (or below) that black button. Bill -
The "search tool" is your friend. Its not perfect but it will lead you down many "interesting" paths in getting towards the answer you seek. However, you may want to start your search HERE. Remember, some owners want to carry virtually an entire machine shop with them while others simply want to carry their cell phone. It sure is a wide berth. Bill

There are also a number of these types of lists from various channels on YouTube - KYD immediately comes to mind. Bill p.s. check the Oliver University for this and for a bunch of other stuff that will make you delivery much more enjoyable.

Hello Ollie Friends! Taking Delivery in June 21!
topgun2 replied to trekhard's topic in Introduce Yourself
Welcome, Clare! June 21 will be here before you know it - REALLY. Great time of year to be taking delivery (as if there really is a bad time of year?) and by the end of summer you should be a real "seasoned" member of the family. Let us know if we can help! Bill -
A "dream home" in a "dream home" - what's wrong with that?😊
