I'd give it a try with that light NOT lit and see what happens. -

Interesting in that every one I've ever seen was green or not lit at all. Bill -

Perhaps a dumb question, but, you do have the "booster" on in the attic? I believe that it will be a little black button that when pushed lights up a little green LED right above (or below) that black button. Bill -
The "search tool" is your friend. Its not perfect but it will lead you down many "interesting" paths in getting towards the answer you seek. However, you may want to start your search HERE. Remember, some owners want to carry virtually an entire machine shop with them while others simply want to carry their cell phone. It sure is a wide berth. Bill

There are also a number of these types of lists from various channels on YouTube - KYD immediately comes to mind. Bill p.s. check the Oliver University for this and for a bunch of other stuff that will make you delivery much more enjoyable.

Hello Ollie Friends! Taking Delivery in June 21!
topgun2 replied to trekhard's topic in Introduce Yourself
Welcome, Clare! June 21 will be here before you know it - REALLY. Great time of year to be taking delivery (as if there really is a bad time of year?) and by the end of summer you should be a real "seasoned" member of the family. Let us know if we can help! Bill -
A "dream home" in a "dream home" - what's wrong with that?😊
-
To wit - that is why I said to plug holes.😇
-
I remove my single mattress but leave the cushions as SeaDawg describes.
-
OK, lets just assume that the mice get inside - what are they going to eat and/or drink once inside? If you take those things away and plug what few "holes" there are in the exterior then lets have a party and chew on some fiberglass?😁

Weird - that same news report claimed that some 27% of South Carolina stations were out of gas. When they have gas, the going price around here is $2.95! Wow - Spartanburg is the closest Home Depot to that place in the hills?
-
In the Asheville, NC area we are slowly getting back to "normal". Yesterday's news claimed that some 25% of North Carolina gas stations are still without gas. In my local area, one out of the three stations nearest me usually has gas for at least part of the day and its never the same one of the three. I guess that the lawn mower will just have to wait for gas for at least another week 😁. Bill

Replacement outside door brace bar

bhncb - Found them and when I get around to it I'll try a set - https://www.mcmaster.com/epdm-rubber-gaskets/grommets-5/ Thanks again for the suggestion. Bill I just noticed at the link above that the package quantity is 100. If I can get them I'm guessing that it will be a life time supply😁 -
Locking diesel fuel cap for Ford F 250/Ram 2500
topgun2 replied to Patriot's topic in General Discussion
Yep - my 2017 F-150 has no gas cap either! And, I'm still not a fan of that. However, I found out the hard way that it is difficult to pour anything down that open hole given that in trying to pour some fuel injector down there it simply ran out to the pavement. I THEN read the instructions that told me I needed to use the "special" funnel provided for such maneuvers. Well, that worked, but, I sure didn't see much "special" about THAT funnel.🙄 Bill -
Given that the "Costco Gas Truck" has arrived - As of last night approximately 33% of the gas stations in North and South Carolina and Georgia didn't have gas. Things ARE getting better and if you're traveling in or through these states over the next week or so, just keep an eye on your gas gauge and try to fill up when you are at half a tank. Bill

YouTube is your friend! Take a look at THIS for your install questions. Call either Andersen (208-523-6460) or Oliver Service (click on "Service" at the top of this page) for your sizing questions. Note that your Andersen can be placed in a couple of different places on the Oliver frame. Bill

Replacement outside door brace bar
topgun2 replied to Bobfirst's topic in Mechanical & Technical Tips
Perhaps "we" are beating this to death - but - note that (at least on mine) the thickness of the metal on the door hanger is different from that on the hull. Thus, it requires two different sizes of grommets. I wish that these grommets were made with a material that lasted a bit longer. But, if they did then I wouldn't know how to get them inserted in the metal hanger holes. Bill -

Replacement outside door brace bar
topgun2 replied to Bobfirst's topic in Mechanical & Technical Tips
Interesting - the first summer after getting my Ollie the latch part of this system was pulled out of the hull by wind without any noticeable effect on that hook. The guys in Service fixed it and it hasn't moved since. Back in the day, not all Olivers were delivered with those rubber grommets - mine has them now though after a kind and gentle 🥰 Bugeyedriver clued me into them. Bill -
Wow - this camera has a transmission of over 300 feet (unobstructed).

Bobfirst - That thing's pretty beefy - any idea of how it broke? Bill -
Erika - As long as your hitch ball is 23 inches off level ground, the delivery team will install and adjust your Andersen for you. Have fun on Monday but bring your "A" game. Bill

How Many Pounds of Stuff do You Carry?
topgun2 replied to Mike and Carol's topic in Towing an Oliver
GG - Interesting list of items - thanks for posting it and for the spredsheet. Both the list of items and their weights should come in handy for a number of people. Bill -
Welcome and congrates! When I took delivery of my hull #117 in February, 2016 there was only one person that had a video tour of the Oliver posted on YouTube (Windcrasher). It was a good video showing just about all the features of the Oliver and I bet I watched that thing 50 plus times - there was no such thing as the Oliver University either. After that a good Forum member posted a number of videos on various aspects of the Oliver but after encountering some family problems and nefarious people on YouTube he took most (if not all ) of those videos down. Since then there have been a number of "reviews" by various people but they tend to be somewhat generalized in both information and content. Regarding your concern about the rear "sign" - you might want to send a PM (private message) to SeaDawg. I know that they have worked on theirs and would be happy to provide whatever help they can. With regards to your tow vehicle - I assume that it is a 1/2 ton pickup. If that is the case then you might want to investigate the use of the Andersen WDH a bit further in that these hitches are generally "required" by all of the major manufacturers for vehicles under warranty. It could also affect your personal liability in the event something happens while out on the road. Assuming that your batteries are good then I think you will be surprised as to how well the solar system works. In the years I've had mine, I've never been below the mid 80's in remaining battery capacity (and that was after 4 straight days of rain camped in a site that had fairly heavy tree cover) and in full sun the batteries are virtually always back to 100% by no later than 11am.
