As I have pointed out in other threads, an added benefit of the pipe insulation is that it will help quiet the water pump. Put it on both the hot and cold water lines (like rich.dev shows). For those areas that you can't see and/or get to easily, simply start the in an area that you can get to and shove it along the pipe until it stops. You'll be able to get most - if not all - the pipe covered. I'd bet too that the Thinsulate will also help decrease noise levels. Bill p.s. I know that there used to be some "issues" with certain RV's where there was not enough room under the tanks to allow the sensors clearance. Of course, a side benefit is that the halos help prevent rust, cushion the bottoms of the tanks (i.e. you don't have that metal scraping on concrete or asphalt), helps prevent sharp metal edges on the bottoms from cutting and/or scraping things, etc. Bill

Ron - I don't consider the "total" costs associated with the Garmin to be inexpensive - $300 plus for the unit, $35 or so per year and then another $35 or so per month for the months you use it. However, given the places I tend to travel (i.e. the further out you go, generally the less people you'll encounter) and the fact that I usually do this travel alone, there are not too many ways to call for help and/or let family know where you are located. Also, there are features that come with the Garmin that let friends follow along on the adventure, allow me to keep track of "special" spots and hikes and fishing places. I can also plan trips, mark gas stations, possible boondocking spots, attractions, etc. I can also get up to date weather reports and even send/receive messages. The more I've used it the better I like it and feel that the price is certainly worth the features and the knowledge that the family can contact me or vise versa no matter where I'm located. Bill

While I firmly believe in satellite SOS devices for those of us that often travel in places that do not have cell phone coverage, and I personally have a Garmin InReach device, the purpose of the link is to gain knowledge as to the kinds of activities and places where these activities take place such that we can be better prepared in the event we need help. I'm presently in need of some new 4/0 cables. But, given that I only need as few as 2 or as many as 4, and have never needed cable crimpers of wire cutters in this size before, it is simply cheaper to purchase the cables ready made. However, THAT doesn't stop me from being VERY jealous. 🤑 Bill

ABSOLUTELY!!!!! In fact - if you even think that you smell propane (rotten eggs) don't even switch on a light or strike a match or light the furnace or light the fridge (assuming propane fired fridge) or anything that could cause a spark or open flame. Bill

I'd guess that if hull #117 doesn't have it (and it doesn't) then yours will not have it either! Depending on your intended use - don't forget that the old charger will still work with LI - it simply will not get the LI's to full. That is another benefit of having the solar - because - it will get the LI's to 100% There fore, unless you really have to have them at 100%, there is not necessarily a rush to get a new charger. No "facts" from me but I agree with your street side reasoning for yet another reason. Since most roads have a crown (the middle of the road is higher than the shoulders of the road such that rain can drain to the shoulders of the road more easily), there is more of the vehicle's weight on the curb side tires versus the street side tires. Therefore, the less weight you have on the side of the vehicle (or trailer) that has only one tire or any questionable tires the better off you probably are. Bill

WOW! My Ollie just turned 8 years old about a week ago. So, 1500/117= 1383 hulls that have been made in the past 8 years or 172.875 per year or 3.3245 every week. Just to round things out - I've been told that during the height of production just after Covid hit, the factory was producing about 7 hulls per week. Amazing how time flies! Bill

A number of YouTube videos have tended to disprove this approach. But, I've never personally tried it because (as of now) I've never had this problem. Bill
