rideandfly
We were fortunate to see a great pilot do an airshow with a Beech 18 a few years ago, with a serious smoke system. 🙂 A Lady that flew Beech 18 aircraft for years taught me how make taildragger landings in a Luscombe, still using her method today. 🙂 3 2015 LE2 #75 / 2024 F-150/5.0L

Steve Morris
January 11-15 Deb and I were at the Eggs ‘n S’mores Rally near Live Oak, Florida, with 237 other fiberglass trailers. Then on the 15th we moved to Salt Springs Recreation Area in Ocala National Forest. We’ll be here until the 20th. Tomorrow we’re taking a glass bottom boat tour at Silver Springs State Park. 6 ----- Steve - Northern Ohio, USA Wandering around on occasion, always lost. 2021 Toyota Land Cruiser - 2023 Oliver Elite II Twin Hull #1360 “Curiosity” Facebook - Instagram Camped in Curiosity = Green —— Visited with Curiosity = Gray

I did that as a kid! Don't remember exactly how old I was but I do remember that they had to restrain me from jumping in. I wanted to catch a couple of all those fish that I saw. 😃 Hope you have as much fun as I remember having. I'll apologize for our cold weather during your visit. (I blame it on my brother in-law. He almost always brings rain and cool weather with him from Western New York.) If you have time, there's a cool and crazy kind of restaurant just about a mile or so from Silver Springs Park-- Mojo's. MAX Burner
So, I decided to move to a location adjacent to where the annual QuartzFest HAM Radio "campout" will start on Saturday. It's about 4.5mi south of the RV Show at MM99 on the west side of HWY 95. It's on BLM land that is outside of LTVAs, so there's no fee. Much less crowded - at least for now, this event usually draws north of 800 HAM rigs from all over the US and Canada. 2 Art, Diane, Magnus & Oscar (double-Aaarrf!) 2022 TUNDRA 2017 LE II; Hull #226 "Casablanca" HAM call-sign: W0ABX

It’s 40 degrees warmer than at home! 😁 We went by MoJo’s today! We were at the Appleton Museum of Art. What a nice exhibit they have! I’m glad we didn’t do the boat ride today, as it was drizzling all afternoon. Current forecast for tomorrow is 70 and overcast, which will be better for underwater photos with fewer reflections. Maybe we’ll stop for dinner after. MAX Burner
The boys and I had our 2nd "Oliver Sighting" today on DAY-11 of this trip... When I bicycled across the USA it was always nice to get to the western edge of a time zone as the sun went down later there. It makes a later sunrise, but a later sunset was a nice tradeoff. jd1923
We entered a campground post but thought we should be in Where's Ollie too! Burro Creek and other Central AZ places to visit! - Campgrounds & Parks - Oliver Owner Forums (olivertraveltrailers.com) One the way home from Burro Creek, our Ollie made a stop in Kirkland, AZ. Had lunch, decent burger and great homemade salad with blue cheese dressing, at the Kirkland Cafe. I Had been there before, about 4 years ago on a motorcycle cruise with our son and Chris really wanted to stop this time for the experience. The place is huge inside, hunting trophies on the walls, a stage and dance floor. First opened in 1923, you can only imagine the grandiose of Arizona when there where copper mines busy everywhere, and much greater population in these backroads areas. Herb and Barbara are the owners, they bought the property in 1991 (the year Chris and I met). It will be our 30th anniversary this year and they will have their 67th this year! Think about this, they married in 1956 when I was 1 year old -OMG! This couple is amazing. Barb served us and cooked our meal. Herb was not in, but I met him last time, and he has the stories. We hung out with and talked to some bikers from the valley and as far as Montana, many beautiful HDs on the lot (should have taken the pic when we got there). They advertise an RV Park too, usually empty, but they'll hook you up, just ask! 5 Chris & John in Prescott, AZ | 2016 EII #113 | '01 Ram 2500 Cummins! MAX Burner
Where's Ollie? Well, the short story is D and her sister are enrolled for a weaving class in Taos today through Sunday. So we came up yesterday afternoon and are staying at Monte Bello park just north of Taos near the base of Wheeler Peak (13,161") NM's highest: Since the 2 "Knuckleheads" and I will be backcountry skiing to Williams Lake at some point, we decided to bring an extra POV for the 2-hour trip here from home which will give the girls flexibility in their to/from commute. We're the only party in the park - imbibing on some random adult beverages at sunset (above) and a Husky "Donut" (below): Yet the same room but different view - Wheeler Pk at sunrise: Morning coffee with 3 humans and 2 canines - cozy, but it doesn't feel crowded: 26F last night the furnace kept OTT occupants at a cozy 66F - screenshot of the Easy Touch App: Cheers, All - from Taos, NM! 3 Art, Diane, Magnus & Oscar (double-Aaarrf!) 2022 TUNDRA 2017 LE II; Hull #226 "Casablanca" HAM call-sign: W0ABX
