  1. I have a temporary fix for the cracked in net liner of the door. What I found was the door frame has a very narrow slot where the inner lining fits. In our case the lining had popped out and during a day with high temp swing had expanded enough to crack the inner door panel. With careful working of the inner panel I was able to fit it back into the groove on the edge. I apply white Gorilla Tape to hold it in place and cover the cracks. Given that a new door would likely be a different color and not have our stripes we may just live with the ugly. The door works fine and has no exterior issues. I wish I could get the door manufacturer to respond as to the door design and assembly, but no luck. Mike Sharpe is trying to find a door part number. Ticket to remain open for now. We head out Wednesday for our trip home to Wa from Florida. Happy Thanksgiving! Craig - Hull 505 Inner door lining slipped out of edge and then heat expansion caused cracking: Used a putty knife to re-align inner lining into slot in door frame and applied Gorilla tape. Ugly but door is fully functional.

  2. I just ordered the same set of items as you. Ditto here with un-level ground, so needed the outriggers. Looking forward to using the scaffold instead of ladder for reaching towards middle of top of trailer with buffer. Will also double stack as per your mention for use as outside safety rail. Once done with trailer spa treatment, the scaffolds will see double duty on home improvement projects, so win-win. Thanks for alerting us to the screaming deal on these!

  3. Found the owner; It is hull 1380, @Crystal Mills who saw the post on the Facebook group. It was right at 14 minutes into this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Detnj71NfD4&t=840s

  4. Lithium batteries do not have the risk of venting hydrogen gas like the LA batteries. They can safely be mounted anywhere and in any orientation.

  5. Good point! The 22” model was what I was referring to, has a centered rear grease trap. Pics of your 17” looks much better with front grease trap.

  6. We cook anything inside or out, and more inside now with our new Emeril Air Fryer installed! The MaxxFan clears up any cooking smoke/smells nicely. Most trips we like to have a meal ready for our first night that only needs reheating. This way I don't have to do the full campsite setup after a long day. Love to be outside more, though during our 2023 spring trip to Moab UT and points between, we had more days windy than not. So windy, the Weber Q grill would not stay fired. Can't sit by the fire ring either!

  7. @Ronbrink Great job job of space utilization. I like the way you packed the inside of the griddle. I just bought our 17" inch Blackstone this last summer. My wife and I love it. We fill up the grill for a nice large and fancy meal. Clean up is a breeze. We got rid of our older 2 burner stove for the black stone. It is now our go to cooking appliance in nice weather. If it is poring rain and windy then it back inside to cook.

  8. That was our first thought, until I realized it just had an empty front basket, instead of the Sea Biscuit box on XPLOR. Taking a photo on the TV leaves a lot other be desired as far as quality goes. Here's a better one from my computer.

  11. The BS 17” griddle has served us well and can be used with the Oliver QC ports with a simple adapter. I have a 36” commercial grade flat top at home and there is nothing cooked on it that can’t be cooked on this smaller griddle when camping. Perfect for 2-3 person food preparations, compact, carry bag/griddle cover, easy to clean, fun to cook on, ‘nough said!

  12. Working on a scaffold platform will be much safer than on a ladder, reaching from atop a ladder is an accident waiting to happen. You have made a wise decision!

  13. I now understand your approach, you can definitely dial in a suitable working height with incremental adjustments. My platform is 58” and the back guardrail is 92” measured from the ground up. I’m 5’10” and can easily reach the entire ‘high rise’ section on the roof with buffer in hand, but cloth wipe-down is a bit of a stretch. Agree, down with the Dish!

  14. I'm thinking of stacking them even for Oliver rooftop work. Having the extra cross members, I can put one beam low for stability and a second up high at say 10' for a rear safety railing. I can mount the platform about 6 or 7' and store the second platform for later use. Having the double height frame the tool shelf can be mounted up high at waist height. Outriggers not only necessary when stacking these but we have very little level land here. Our driveway is as level as it gets here and from the picture you can see what I mean. I love that every item can be mounted up or down every couple of inches. I will post a picture next week after I get it setup. I also have a trades professional Hyde safety belt set with safety hook leads I purchased back in 1990 when I was restoring attic dormers on the first home we bought. It's been hanging from the rafters of my garage for decades with some occasional use since. She will look a lot better without the tall Winegard Dish!

  18. When you read the attached post, almost everybody is suggesting the cracks come from wind causing the door to bang, my belief too. Most who have these cracks do not have the friction hinges. Also, the cracks that @Steve-Gwenne, @Mike and Carol and I and several others have are NOT the same that @Galway Girl is showing where the laminate has pulled out of the frame. It appears that @mossemi may also have the more extreme issue but we have not seen a picture. Our cracks are minor, most are straight horizontal lines that look like stress cracks that follow the structure of the surface. Like Mike wrote, we will be living with ours. The cracks in our door have likely been there for years, and after 9 months use of the Lippert product they have not gotten worse. I've had RV doors almost pull my arm out of its shoulder socket, gotten several bruises, heard too many LOUD bangs, not anymore! Yes, it takes a little push, but I do love how the door stays open exactly to the angle I've opened it.

  19. Spent the day in Apache Junction with friends. The friends included the man who hired me at Motorola in 1989! Got back to camp and noticed another Oliver! Spent the evening with Gary (Hull #1200) from Colorado. A great ending of our weekend trip. Back home to Prescott tomorrow. Thinking of a short stop in Scottsdale for pickleball and lunch.

  20. I have found that the built in battery heaters in my lithionic batteries will also a cause a difference between SOC readings on my Victron Shunt and my Lithionics app. Power use for the internal battery heaters does not register on the Victron. Not sure if it has been cold enough at your location to trigger the heaters.

  21. John, we do like our HEB’s. We have a new one just a few minutes drive from where we live. Gas/diesel is always among the lowest in the area. We’ve shopped at grocery stores across the country with our travels and none beats HEB for selection and price. Earlier this month we were at the Big Bend Bluegrass Festival in Alpine, just 20 minutes from Davis Mountains SP. We spoke to a resident of Fort Davis and asked about the famous Drug Store that is now closed. It’s a long story, but BLUF it’s still closed, sadly. Do go walk around the old Fort Davis, it ‘s a National Parks site and an interesting visit. If the timing is right check out McDonald Observatory and see if they are having a Star Party while you are there. It was a fascinating evening! Have fun! Mike

  23. What is your favorite outdoor camp stove? Mine is NOT compatible with the Oliver's propane, but this is my cooking setup. Snow Peak Iron Grille Table (IGT) with a variety of inserts depending on what we're cooking.
