  1. I'd be suspicious of the RV shops that did your prior lube service, too. Unless the zerks just fell out after the last service, this is something they would have noticed if they did the work and should have told you about (or offered to fix).

  2. I have the same basic setup, though hardwired inside. One of the things it can't test for is a bootleg neutral/ground at the pedestal which is a wiring fault that can cause a lot of troubles if you have a fault inside the camper. Even worse is if you have a bootleg ground AND reverse polarity at the pedestal. This wiring fault will energize anything metal in the camper that is internally grounded with 120v and it can't be picked up by any EMS or three light testers. Using a non-contact voltage tester on the frame is the only easy way (other than getting shocked) that you would know...

  3. We do! Chris has used it at home several times and we took it on our recent trip. First time out, I kept it in it's retail packaging sitting on the rear bench seat of the TV. We setup a cooking table near the AC power outlet on the side of the Oliver. Cooking takes very little SOC on inverter and LiFePO4 batteries. I decided to get waterproof case for it. Not like me to spend so much on a case (just this one time)! This case fits the single-burner Duxtop Induction Cooktop nicely. With this case, we can load it anywhere in the back of our open truck bed or it can be left out at the campsite overnight in the rain. This is one high-quality case: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CJQB2JYN/

  4. …speaking of coatings, the CGI guys (Gavin and Colin) did a renew on our ceramic coating this week. Looks better than new (except for the chips on the lower front)!

  5. I removed a Zerk fitting from the Dexter EZ Flex equalizer that OTT installed in our hull during service in 2018 (they should still be the same). The four (4) grease fittings that fit the EZ Flex equalizers are 45-angle with 1/4"-28 threads. This Amazon link shows the correct size and shape (taller post style), but not sure of the quality of this product (but likely a fine replacement): https://www.amazon.com/Plews-11-105-Grease-Fitting/dp/B000SL2M0M/ I needed the same kind for the wet-bolts Alcan supplied and I ordered Dorman AutoGrade 1/4-28 Inch Grease Fitting - 852-703 from O'Reilly's. Ron is correct. The fittings for the equalizers are as spec'd above. The fittings for the wet-bolts are the smaller straight M6x1mm fittings (turn with an 8mm wrench). This would work if you have an old-school local Napa that's been around for decades with the old-timers still working! When I ordered mine from O'Reilly's the sales person wanted to show me the assortment kits. They had 10 different assortments, none of what I needed and she had no idea! This may be true! And if you must do so, after removing both wheels on one side, TV attached for safety, just remove the equalizer center bolt and drop both axles enough to clear the top of the equalizer. Do NOT remove the wet-bolts as you will have trouble re-aligning them to remount! If it was me, and you are also very good with your hands and wrenching, I would try to thread the new fittings in without disassembly! You still want the wheels off to get your body closer to the work. Using your fingers get the new fitting started. Then with the smallest open-ended 10mm wrench you have, start to tighten. You must tighten as far as the wrench can go in the small opening, then turn the wrench upside down which changes the angle of the head of the wrench. Keep flipping the wrench over and over and be patient! 😎 I believe these are prone to falling out because the installers point the fittings outward and they are not tightened down to the base. Therefore they are not torqued in place, the threads are basically lose to start! Given you job-out this kind of work... Buy your new fittings, take parts and trailer to your service shop and ask them to install them! They should offer to do this at no charge, given you have used their services regularly and yes, they should have tightened them or made you aware they were missing!

  6. I agree. However fate has sent me in that direction already. I decided to clean and inspect the other side. While cleaning I notice one zerk was on an odd direction. It was so loose it came off in my hand; not broken...just that loose! I tested it on the first side by hand it fit fine.So tomorrow to the parts store I go with my sample zerk. Dumb luck is important in life.

  7. FloraFauna & Bill, Thanks for your replies. I understand that Dexter makes ex flex with and without zerks. I assumed that my Oliver had the ez flex without zerks as Oliver used in the past. You both raised a different possible answer that my ez flex once had zerks but both have become loose and fallen out. Interesting different answer and warrants inspection...

  8. It was an easy sell, too. Once my wife found out that it was a heat pump, and that we wouldn't have to run the noisy propane furnace anymore, it was a done deal!

  10. In my above July 3rd post I showed the Cielo’s temporary mount utilizing its stock USB Type C cord powered by an adapter at the receptacle outlet in the upper galley cabinet. I have since gained expertise through testing and actual field experiences, and now have even more confidence in the capability of this device. Other than the fact that featured modes can be programmed for both temperature and humidity comfort, preliminary findings indicate that advanced features are accessible in the absence of Wi-Fi, to which I have previously addressed. Learning by trial, being able to conveniently switch supply power off would benefit limited use of said features and thus, an aftermarket USB cord with inline switch was employed. Proving successful in application, I then focused on a more permanent and aesthetic mount. Yes, holes were drilled and Cielo altered, here’s how I proceeded: A file was used to create a furrow for the USB cord to pass through the Cielo’s base. A 90° adapter was used to connect the switched power cord at the Cielo and then routed through the base components. A hole was made at the mount point to pass the cord through the wall into a cavity next to the microwave. A hole was drilled from the upper cabinet into said cavity. A wire was used to fish a pull string into place. USB cord pulled into upper cabinet, routing to receptacle/adapter and cabinet mat reinstall not shown. Cielo readied for mounting. Installation complete. I think it’s worth mentioning that the black backing plate added to facilitate the use of 3M Dual Lock for wall mounting is not a necessity. As installed, the Cielo can easily be mounted to the wall with supplied screws in conventional manner. I only resorted to the Dual Lock mount initially to enable easy movement when finding the best placement spot for the device, and may eventually remove it for a more streamlined mount and appearance. Regardless, I can now switch the Cielo on for use or off when the a/c’s remote is the preferred method of control. At this point in time, I will attempt to only post comments regarding the Dreiha Atmos 4.4 on this thread and further comments pertaining to the Cielo on the Cielo Breez Max thread.

  11. One more post from Jasper… Got up to go potty this morning a little after 7. It was quite foggy. On my walk back a lady warned me to watch for the elk. There was a bull and two cows. Which is a bad mix. Sure enough, I saw a large shadow in the fog, no more than 10 yards from the Ollie. The bull. Carefully I took the widest path around him to get to the trailer. As I rounded the front of the trailer there were the two cows. No more than 10 FEET from the front door!!! Too late. They were all looking at me already. I scurried the last few steps as quickly and quietly as I could. Fumbled with the door. Lost a croc. Almost peed again. But made it. Then got Melissa out of bed to take some pictures from INSIDE the Ollie 😂

  14. We just replaced our Freedom XC PRO 3000 inverter because of an error code 08. We have a 2022 Elite II which has bot seen very much use since we purchased it. Our mechanic did a hard reset based on Xantrex's instruction but it still did not function. The unit had to be replaced, cost for the unit was $2,142.79, not including labor. We reached out to Oliver and they reached out to Xantrex for some compensation, unfortunately Xantrex said the warranty was only for two years. I tried to explain that the unit did not have two years of use, but Xantrex would not provide any $ support.

  16. Got one on the way, and it was free shipping too!. Only bad part is I now have to wait until I get my Ollie back over Thanksgiving to install it.

  17. Here’s a different view of our Whistler campsite, taken from the summit of Whistler mountain. You get a sense of the damage done to the campground. Much of Jasper and the surrounding area did even worse. You can also see the affect of a prediction of 10 inches of snow has on the number of campers 😁 We hope to depart about 12 hours before that arrives 😱
