  1. A week ago, we arrived in Quartzsite on a Monday afternoon! After a great birthday weekend for our son at home, we’re on way to Sierra Vista! This spot is a nice drive, just 3 hours from home. We had to stop at AJ’s for meats and loaded twice-baked potatoes, and there was traffic in the valley… Arrived here at West Pinal Park, 22 miles west of Casa Grande. A GREAT stop-over at $10/night for those who are driving into AZ not wanting to go further into Phoenix.

  2. About 14” from the weekend storm. At least the Oliver is safe indoors. Looks like next weekend might bring more snow. Haven't seen a winter like this in CT for many years.

  3. Yes I did encounter interference between the wing nut tabs and the regulator in the upper mounted position. This was quickly and easily remedied with a 12-14 inch adjustable wrench. With the wing nut screwed down tight, use the adjustable wrench to bend the tabs up to a vertical enough angle to clear the back side of the regulator. Problem solved.

  4. Here's one more thing to add to your growing list of annually inspectable items. Use a mirror tool or smart phone to visually inspect the diaphragm air vent on your propane regulators. Ensure bugs and road debris have not clogged the air vent. Boy, if going to Alaska, this will need to be inspected often, and carry a spare regular, just to be sure. No propane, no heat while boon-docking. 😵‍💫

  5. I found my pic from 2023 where I turned both tanks 45 degrees making the hoses fit like a glove with nearly no strain on the hoses. Works fantastic, but I do like those 90 degree connectors. Things to add to my future work truck for common parts. PS: It looks like I could add those safety gauges and have penty of room for the cover. Sweet!

  6. Please to report we had very little snow and mostly sleet and freezing rain. Grateful this is all we had. Our “Ollie Hangar” did exactly what it’s designed to do. Today we woke up to a gorgeous sunrise and Carolina blue sky off our back deck. Can’t ask for more than that! Our Carolina Sapphires will bounce back, after taking a bow in today’s bright sun shine. 👍🏻 XPLOR in deep hibernation in the “Ollie Hangar”.

  7. Just watched the evening forecast for western NC and it is possible that we might get snow (instead of ice) just in time for this coming weekend. Then it looks like the storm will try to travel up the east coast. In any case, frigid temp will continue for almost all of us living in the eastern part of the US. Be careful out there everyone! 11. So glad I grew up listening to the Doobie Brothers. No flash, no glamor, just incredible rock musicians laying it down.

  13. About 10 inches east of Indianapolis. The drifting is the only problem now. The snow won’t be melting any time soon so hopefully the wind will stay calm. Now for the real fun with sub zero temperatures expected at night for the next few days.

  14. Mather campground Gand Canyon NP An amazing week to be in Grand Canyon N P. The main water supply is shut down for repairs and the whole Park is almost empty. That would be Hotels, campgrounds, parking lots and South rim drive. The park is a ghost town. We are among the few dry camping in Mather Campground (only campground open). Might be 20 campers tonight. No traffic, no lines, no people. This might be a once in lifetime event to have the greater Grand Canyon N P uncrowded and as our personal playground. Doesn't get better than this.

  15. Regarding Turbro branded units, there are only two results listed. Although the Turbro and Pioneer inverter RV rooftop air conditioners are both deemed ‘smart’ units, there are distinctive differences in the two to be considered when selecting one over the other. Aftermarket control devices such as the Cielo, may not be able to interface with the proprietary control systems of these units and thus, looking forward to @CRM’s findings.

  16. We had 11" of snow. Our street has yet to be plowed. Schools cancelled. Red Level Warning still in affect. Emergency responders, and plows only. Then I have a neighbor who decided not to obey the law. Went out, couldn't get up his driveway. He then backed down the street to get a running, backed up on to the grass and through our mailbox, destroying the pole and damaging the mailbox. Caught on our other neighbors and our security camera. He did come over when I was inspecting damage. He said he would pay, so we will see when the price is $500+ Have to use a certain company to comply with homeowners assoc. for post style and mailbox color requirements.
