Balance Beads Continuing Saga
Patriot replied to AlbertNTerri's topic in Mechanical & Technical Tips
@AlbertNTerri Glad DCT got you taken care of. I have been doing business with this company for 15 years and they have always taken excellent care of our trucks and cars. Thanks for posting the issue and your resolution with the balance beads. We spent time in Montrose, CO recently while touring the state. What a beautiful place. Safe Travels! ๐ Patriot๐บ๐ธ -
@Nan To answer your second question. Do a price comparison for sure. I recently purchased (2) AGM batteries for my Diesel Super Duty at Batteries Plus and they were really great to work with. https://www.batteriesplus.com/store-locator/nc/gastonia/batteries-plus-423 I would not go with Lithium if your know you are never going to boondock. Awesome, thank you!

@rich.dev Wow a lot cheaper on Amazon vs etrailer! Did you install just one or multiple?

Bill, I highly recommend you stay here -https://www.natcheztracetravel.com/hohenwald-bedandbreakfasts/meriwethersretreat.html Melissa is the owner and itโs one of the nicest B&Bโs we have ever stayed at. Itโs fairly close to the service center, very clean and she is the best hostess. โญ๏ธโญ๏ธโญ๏ธโญ๏ธโญ๏ธ By the way it was nice meeting you and your bride at the Big Texan RV Resort during our return trip from CO. Rest assured, Oliver Service will surely get you taken care of. Patriot๐บ๐ธ

Cool!! In my recent Oct visit this was not mentioned in the conversations I had with Oliver Service. That said I have not had an issue with black tank or grey tank cable stretch in over 20,000 miles. ๐๐ป๐ค๐ป

That is correct. The Truma Aventa 13.5 BTU AC requires a 3000W gen. Presently per the Truma rep I spoke with a soft start is not available. The rep also said Truma is supposedly looking at a soft start solution.

@Geronimo John There is no longer a For Sale or Classifieds section allowing an owner to sell an Oliver on this forum. It was recently shut down by Oliver Admin on Oct 20. Here - https://olivertraveltrailers.com/forums/19-classifieds/ Patriot๐บ๐ธ

I learned the 2024โs will not have touch lights they will have lights that use an on off switch to operate the light per OTT service. Patriot๐บ๐ธ

The only challenge I see with the shade installation is when you need to replace the touch lights (and you will) you are likely going to have to remove the shade and re-tape and reinstall. Other than that it looks like a nice mod. I would go with white PVC. ๐๐ป

Hi John, I will chime in here. Back on Oct 20, I asked Jason about torquing my SS lugs he advised they were torqued to 110 foot lbs. I checked the torque on my lugs upon returning home from OTT (all good) and they were at 110 foot lbs. Hope this helps. Safe Travels!

When I had my Oliver serviced on Oct 20th, Oliver had no concerns about the SS lugs I mentioned I was using. I feel sure if there was a safety issue or concern service would have thrown a caution flag. All good. All said its just nice to have options. I prefer SS over chrome plated. Glad to hear your results and hopefully you will never have an issue with the OEM set cracking/peeling off. ๐๐ป

Very well done! A very clean looking install! ๐๐ป๐๐ป
-
Same here, zero issues. ๐๐ป

Per a previous post and very solid recommendation by @ScubaRx I ordered and installed these SS lugs last June. I carry a torque wrench and I too check torque specs while traveling. On our most recent 42 day 6000 mile trip out west all lugs maintained their proper torque setting. https://www.ebay.com/itm/144965685434

On our recent 6000 mile 42 day trip this Atlas served us extremely well along with our Garmin 890RV.

Valve beneath right seat of dinette table
Patriot replied to Vector - Lanham's topic in Mechanical & Technical Tips
@Geronimo John I do not have the black tank valve in my 2020, I believe it was discontinued by Oliver it in in 2020. 5 pumps of antifreeze and done. Patriot๐บ๐ธ -
Looks great Max! Sano install! ๐๐ป

No apologies necessary. Yes, you can, in a pinch. Simply unconnect the wires and reconnect the wires to the new detector. Itโs a straight forward 12 volt connection.
