  1. Any one had any issues with charging the on board batteries from your tow vehicle, while traveling down the road? For the past couple of weeks we have been traveling in Colorado and we are headed to Moab Utah. It appears that our Oliver batteries are not been charged by our Tundra. The Tundra's has voltage at the rear connector; and the Oliver has voltage on the correct pin of the trailer plug. And when the Tundra's voltage is a little higher than the Oliver it does not appear to increase the battery charge voltage at the battery. Does anyone know where the +12 volt lead from the trailer plug is terminated in the Oliver?
  2. Bill: We have stopped at Mabry Mill VA many times; our daughter and her family live in Radford, VA so it's not to far from her home. It will be October before we will be doing any camping on the Blue Ridge Parkway. We are leaving in a few days for points west; including Colorado, Utah, Arizona and other states in the area. Not sure of how long we will be gone. Hopefully someday we will cross paths on the BRP, safe travels.
  3. Bill: We love camping along the entire Blue Ridge Parkway, this is one of our return to locations many time over the past years. In the fall we try to spend a couple of weeks on the BRP in various campgrounds.
  4. Welcome to a new Oliver owner, safe travels.
  5. David: It appears from the picture that you are using a Yakima Holdup Bike Rack for two bikes. We use the Yakima Holdup Bike Rack but have not carried the bikes on any long distance trips. What is you experience with the bike rack and what is the longest trip you have made carrying bikes? Looks like you are having a great time from the picture.
  6. We spent Monday night May 15, 2017 in Fall Hollows Campground in Hohenwald, TN next to John and his wife and their new Elite II.
  7. Yes we do have the Comercial TA tires, and I like how they ride. What air pressure do you run in your tires?
  8. John: I have the same information on the wheels that are on our trailer, hull # 93.
  9. When we picked up our Elite II on September 1, 2015 the tires had been balanced. Also I had them balanced when the metal valve steams were installed for the TPMS.
  10. I just completed the installation of a TPMS for our trailer; the valve steams were replaced with metal rated for 200 PSI. This fall when we secure the trailer for the winter, I will remove the sensors and power down the signal booster. So far we have no road experience with the TPMS installed, but a trip is planed in the near future.
  11. I always turn the water supply off to the trailer when we leave. This is something we have done for years.
  12. John: According to the Natchez Trace web site there is a section of the Trace that is closed due to construction from Merriweather north about six miles. Their web site says the construction is scheduled to be completed in the spring of 2017. Our plans are to camp in Hohenwald on May 15, 2017 at the Fall Hollow campground for some corrective issues on our trailer the next day. Hopefully we will see you in Hohenwald on May 15.
  13. I agree with this statement, over the past several weeks it has become VERY unusable!
  14. How is the large level mounted to the camper surface?
  15. Greg: Where did you purchase the shower rod from? Also do you have the model number for the shower rod? I assume you mounted the shower rod using SS screws and the 3M 5200 marine sealant was used around the screws. I have been looking for a shower rod to install in the same location as your rod is mounted. Thanks in advance for the information.
  16. We use propane normally during travel. Except when we travel through tunnels or some restricted highways where the propane must be turned off, then we use the 12VDC to power the refrigerator.
  17. I purchased a Tireminder 66 TPMS with four sensors and the booster. Also I am changing the valve steams on the trailer to the high pressure metal type and having the tires rebalanced before we head out in the spring. Tireminder said you can use the rubber valve steams but highly recommends you upgrade to the metal valve steams. The booster will be installed in the propane tank location, easy access to the 12 VDC needed to power the signal booster. Our TV has a factory TPMS installed.
  18. Welcome to the Oliver Forum; it is nice to see another Oliver Travel Trailer owner in Virginia. Safe travels.
  19. The lug nuts on our trailer requires a 3/4" deep well socket; I suggest using a six point socket and I use a 25" breaker bar. The 8" extension will work with no problems, since I use a 6" extension.
  20. We don't have the light fixture bleeding black issue but we do with the Furrion gasket on the 110 VAC external power receptacle. We have well water with conditioning and no other vehicles have this bleeding black issue.
  21. Tommy, it has been great working with you and we will miss your assistance with our travel trailer. Best of luck in your new adventures.
  22. NO, do not use any of my information on your Facebook account!!!
  23. Buzzy: Sorry to hear the loss of a friend, we have been through that a couple of times; pets are part of the family.
  24. Buzzy stated: Virginia only allows two propane gas tanks of 20 lbs. each per travel trailer. This is wrong information, there is no 20 lbs tank limits in Virginia; just check with the Virginia State Police which controls the state inspections for all types of vehicles.
