Honestly, I don't think there would be much, if any, difference at all. My guess is that the air gap is probably doing most of the insulating.

Would also be interesting to compare Ollie's insulated with Lizard Skin to those insulated with the current foil insulation.

Hasn't happened to me while pulling a travel trailer, but it has happened to me twice while pulling a boat.

I've already done something like this myself where I'm sure nobody else will find it.. I want to add a metal tag with VIN and Weight limits near the hitch solely for any traffic stops I may encounter while traveling. Most will accept just your paper reg for vehicle and trailer, but some will take the extra step and check the vehicle and trailer VIN plates too. I'd rather have that plate where they expect to see it than on a paper sticker inside the closet.

This makes me crazy.. The only VIN and weight limit markings on my Ollie are on a paper sticker inside the closet. I plan on having metal plates made and riveting them onto the frame near the hitch where (I think) they belong.

Ah, that's why our Hull 45 doesn't have one. I guess I should get in contact with service and see if it's possible to purchase one.

The original total invoice on the 2010 Elite II we recently bought was $43,200. And it came with several options including satellite, cell and WiFi booster, retractable electrical cord and upgraded cushions. Looks like the price has close to doubled over the past 12 years.

I'm getting ready to replace the worn out "Oliver Legacy Elite II" graphics on the rear of my Ollie, but have an issue. The old graphics are the original smaller style while the replacements are the larger current style (which I like much more) and I'm not sure exactly where to install them. I think I can get away with just centering them over the access opening, but would like to know what the distance is between the bottom of the belly band and the top of the "Oliver" logo. Thanks in advance for any help!

Thank you! I had a feeling we had something of an oddball, and you're right, not much has changed! There are some slight differences that I can see, though.. Hot water tank location (at the expense of drawer space inside) round reverse lights, switch panel, and probably a few more differences that a trained eye could see.. Hello all! We recently picked up a "new to us" 2010 Elite II (hull #45) and couldn't be happier to finally be part of the Oliver family. Outside of needing a thorough detailing, she seems to be in excellent shape for the year, and came with a mountain of service records. It's been crazy the amount of Facebook private messages we've received on our Ollie.. Everything from "it's a scam, they didn't make an Elite II in 2010" to "must be a prototype", and that it being Hull #45 it "must be the last one made before production shut down in 2009 because only 45 total were made up to that point".. whatever the story is, we love it and look forward to making it our own over the next few months by adding solar, new flooring, LED lights, etc. Looking forward to being part of this forum, to educate ourselves, and to hopefully able to contribute where we can.
