We also have the Platinum package with the built in battery heaters. Because I only had one shared 15A outlet outside I throttled the Xantrex back to only 5A (setting 28) and it did just fine sitting outside here in CT all winter. The heaters don't draw much.

That's exactly right, an insulated 10'x12' bay door...  The width of the OTT makes it very easy to slide right in (unlike the AS, which usually took a couple passes).

15A AC power, with a 15A to 30A adapter of course, is more than adequate to keep even 630Ah of Lithionics LiFePO4 batteries warmed by the internal battery heaters, even down to 0 F.  Our 390Ah Lithionics pro package fully recharges from reserve cutoff levels with a 15A connection in a few hours.  The battery warmers don't draw even close to enough DC power to offset that AC infusion, even at only 15A.

Every 3 months you leave your Elite II plugged in to shore power full time, Lihionics recommends running a full discharge/recharge cycle down to the reserve power level, then restoring shore power.  For our winter in the Idaho mountains last year, with our Elite II stored in our 30' x 30' shed with 30A receptacle beginning in mid-November, I did one full discharge/recharge cycle in February.  By April, we were using the Oliver again, so only one discharge/recharge cycle was necessary.

I presume you are planning to install a 30A receptacle in your new 30' x 36' garage?

Good info and thank you! Yes, one 30A on the outside for guests and one on the inside as well since I'll have a big enough service line to do so.

It's a bolt on. A great "upgrade" for us, standard for all the new folks. Best double step in the marketplace. Superbly constructed. Way overbuilt, but that's the Oliver way.

The step brackets on the older frames are attached in a different place and mounting a current set of steps may involve some creativity. @CRM, I have an extra set of double steps that came off a trailer just a few hull numbers from yours that might bolt right up. We’d need to measure to make sure.

That would be awesome if they would fit! Let me know what measurements you need and I'll get them to you ASAP.

We keep Ollie in a 36'X36' hangar with three sides. It does not have power, occasionally take the solar panels or gen-set to the hangar to charge the battery in the winter. It has an asphalt floor. We have had mud daubers to get into Ollie's window drains stopping them up. Now we put tape on the drains to keep the daubers out.

Are they also getting in your A/C? I have to plug all the holes in the A/C shroud. Can't use A/C cover because we are located in a very windy area of eastern Washington state.

When we purchased Ollie used, there were mud daubers in the AC that made a lot of noise from time to time.  It was hard to find them with the cover off, but finally found them & got rid of them, happy to report no issues since.

@Sak I had a cover on our former “Demonic Penguin” AC and it never blew off in high wind. It can be cinched down pretty tight. We never had issues with birds or bugs at all.

Our garage is almost done. Just need electrical run and installed before Eggcelsior can move in. Hoping to have it indoors before the first real snowfall.
