Truma Pressure Relief Valve Leaking
mossemi replied to Rich and Jane Walker's topic in Mechanical & Technical Tips
Also use the pressure regulator on the fresh water fill inlet. Although there are fewer restrictions on the fresh water fill plumbing, it’s still a good practice. This would also apply when you start using the filter. Mossey -

Replacing black water release valve
mossemi replied to Imelda's topic in Mechanical & Technical Tips
A couple more steps that I would add to @jd1923 suggestions is to make sure that both the black and grey blade valves are closing completely. Both black and grey tanks empty out of the same pipe at the rear bumper, so either blade valve may be leaking. Try pushing down on both blades to check for any movement which could indicate the need for a cable adjustment. And if you haven’t previously lubricated the valve cables, it will help valve opening and closing. It goes without saying that troubleshooting the sewer system it much easier to do at a full hookup site. Mossey -
Congratulations and welcome! From the looks of your first picture, it looks like you may already be in Mayport! The cabbage palms, sunshine, blue skies and the Atlantic Ocean in the background lead me to think you made the trip south successfully, congratulations. Mossey

Call Blue Sky technical support, as other BS owners have reported that their support is excellent. Mossey

I have thought about an overlay of some type of sheet product, but I have always stumbled on a method to attach it to the cracked inner panel. I am sure there is a product that would work, I just haven’t looked hard enough to find it. Mossey

Our door has plenty of cracks and I’m not sure why but it may have began with the wind pulling the door out of my hand while opening from the inside on a windy day. @jd1923's post about the additional hinges from Lippert would help with a windy day but as stiff as they make my door opening and closing, they just might be causing additional stress on the door frame. My door was cracked when I installed the extra hinges so I really don’t know if they would have prevented the cracks from happening to begin with. I have tried to remove some of the small pieces of the white plastic and they are somehow glued, epoxied or whatever to the styrofoam. I do think sun exposure is a contributing factor. Mossey

We purchased an ICECO electric cooler during Prime Day's in 2023. We also purchased a 100AH 12V LiTime lithium battery for an optional power source. It’s not very big and it does fit under the tonneau cover as many of the electric coolers do. It has proved useful over about 3 months of camping. We recently used it during Hurricane Milton while the electricity was out. Mossey

It’s more commonly referred to as a check valve. It is a one way valve that only allows water to flow in one direction. There is one in the city water connection pipe and another fresh water tank fill pipe. The recirculation activity should be going back to the fresh water tank. Mossey

While traveling from Florida to Huntsville, AL. last Thursday I spotted an Ollie in a campground along US Hwy 231, maybe south of Troy, AL. I didn’t have time to stop then but thought maybe on the way home. Of course I promptly forgot about it until I drove by again yesterday and noticed the door was open. So I turned around at the first opportunity and stopped to say hello. The owners of LE2 #462 are Mike and Elaine from Oregon and we had a pleasant but short visit. We discussed an 120V AC issue they were having with their refrigerator and I was able to show them the location of the access panel to the AC plug and I’m sure they have it fixed by now. It’s always a good day when you have an unexpected visit with fellow OTTO’s! Mossey

@Nan This may be the instructions @NCeagle is referring to, I am not sure. Maybe he can verify. Mossey

I used Milwaukee multi material hole saws and drilled slow and steady in reverse. I did all of the layout on blue tape over the fiberglass and used new hole saws. If you are really uncomfortable drilling the holes, call Oliver service and request some scrap fiberglass pieces to practice with or find a place in the Ollie you would like to place an air vent and practice in a location that is less visible. Maybe an air vent in the wall between the toilet and the basement area below the front dinette. Mossey

@Zodd It is a great feeling to sit outside in a nice campsite admiring your Ollie and thinking we must be the smartest people around! Most of us have enjoyed the same thoughts while sitting around our Ollie! Congratulations for sticking to the Oliver Travel Trailer plan y’all put together. Mossey

As a general rule, I wouldn’t like that much jack extension, but when I am camping I will except less than favorable conditions. Your scenario seems to be a long term condition, so I would find a solution to minimize the jack extension. A thought that comes to mind is to build 2 ramps out of different lengths of 2x6 or 2x8 boards and back the tow vehicle onto the ramps which will raise the tongue and create room for more wood under the jack pad Mossey

The bike rack I see in the Oliver promotional photos
mossemi replied to TxMN2020's topic in Ollie Modifications
I am guessing that picture below is the one you are referring to. This link will take you to the website for 'LET'S GO AERO' the company that make the bike rack in the picture. Mossey -
From my experience, don’t leave anything outside without an anchor that’s bigger than you think you need. Mossey
