  1. Driving on Route 202 through East Rochester NH today I saw a 2017 Elite 2 parked near a car wash with a for sale sign on the door ... $46,500 or BO.. figured I’d pass it along..
  2. The angle that the “pin” in your photo is cocked at the angle that the camper was at in relationship to you TV when you unhooked it.... you can either back up to the trailer so the front of the Camper is “square” in relationship to that pin, or remove the pin, insert something ( I think the handle that can be used to lower the jacks if the fuse blows can work) in that hole and spin it til it’s back parallel with your tailgate... then back into hitch up as straight as possible.
  3. Kind of a long shot here... but could it be related to the wind sensor? The wind sensor does have the capability to prevent the awning from opening for a short time after it has caused it to close.. perhaps the batteries need replacing? Or it needs to be replaced? Of course you need to get the awning open in order to fiddle with it....
  4. While your checking out what’s going on under the curbside bed per Hobo’s advice, turn the water back on to see if you can make it leak again.. check out these connections, there are a bunch of them... if they are leaking, try pushing the tube hard back into the T... if it’s not seated right it will sort of click back into place..
  5. Hearing hissing and the pump not shutting off lead us to a leak... one on the lines had worked itself loose from its T fitting.. it needed to be firmly pushed back into place and has been fine since...
  6. Now John, perhaps you’re jumping the gun just a little bit.. clearly it’s a work in progress, I mean, what do you suppose that appendage nailed to the exterior curb side will be for? And as for it feeling just a little light in the steering? Easy fix! Just add another heavy steel veranda to the front bumper! Which will lead to the obvious next step of a porch that wraps around the whole rig, which of course will contribute to the tires sinking into the mud and out of sight... resulting in it being listed as a weekly rental..an artist retreat during the summer, deer hunting camp come November... at least that’s what would happen here in Maine..
  7. We have found plenty of places to stay using HH that are not related to alcohol.. It’s been well worth it.
  8. It’s on my radar as well. It’ll be interesting to see what they come up with..
  9. Congrats! We had a Casita (17’) before picking up our E2 last fall... We loved that old camper but are so happy to have switched to Oliver.. the extra roominess makes a big difference for sure..
  10. A current copy of the electrical diagrams is not available for the asking.. at least not for me.. I’ve asked several times.. The answer has always been the same..... No....
  11. While we weren’t near Naples, while in Fl we stored our E2 at an IStorage place.. we checked out the place and felt the security was good, so we went with it. We swung by every now and checked in..we were happy with how things went. We will be rolling back home to Maine tomorrow having been out and about since November.. Great experiences with HH, everything from Dairy Farms to Diner parking lots. There are places out there with power and water, usually for a fee.. Don’t forget to keep your eyes peeled for town, city, or county parks offering overnight camping...We had good experiences with them as well.. sounds like a really great trip! Have a blast!
  12. My black water tank is the same as yours.. I’ve wondered about the other 3.5 gallons of “of capacity “ as well.. I don’t think there is that much volume between the tank and black water valve...
  13. We’ve got a pair of these.. because of the storage system I built into the back of the truck they stow easily and can be quickly deployed as needed.. comfy and we like rocking chairs.. 🙂
  14. I’ve asked Oliver for the electrical plans for our 2020 E2 several times... the answer has been no... simple as that.. the reason I was given was they are worried about competitors getting a hold of them ...
  15. Sure is, I’m a dusty guy.. And I’ve enjoyed cleaning the Mangrove dust from Florida, the red dust from New Mexico, and what seems like about a half pound of the state of Arizona from the inside of our Ollie. It means I’m on the move, and happy for it. I just think, and it is after all only my opinion, that Oliver could deliver trailers without quite as much fiberglass dust....
  16. We recently stayed at Licon Dairy, south of El Paso through harvest hosts.. glad we did, and would recommend it. They’ve got great cheese and other goodies and were great folks.
  17. Yup... me too.. crazy amount of dust down below... no need of it. If I’d taken the trailer home after picking it up I’d have been able to do a real clean up... blast out with compressed air, fans, vac.. whatever it would take.. but we will have been on the road almost 5 months before that happens. What I wonder about is impact on the inverter and or furnace that are likely sucking the stuff into themselves
  18. We’ve used the camco filter almost every time...it’ll be every time from now on. 🙂
  19. Thanks FrankC . I hauled out that section of water line and blew it out as you suggested. No big plastic chunks, so it seemed ok. In the end I ended up bleaching then flushing water through the system a bunch of times, cleaning the filter repeatably. Water pressure to both sinks has improved both from city water as well as the tank.. but the toilet was still just a trickle. It turns out there is a screen in the intake valve, and I dug a lot of stuff out of it with a screw driver ( gently) .. i don’t know what the material was, sort of a grayish paste.. wet fiberglass dust? Whatever it was, getting it out of there did the trick..
  20. Hey there John, the vinegar purge worked out great, thanks! When hooked to city water ive now got good pressure in all areas. From the tank ...not so much... pump runs for a loooong time after the faucet is turned off. I’ve cleaned filter several times. Because we are on the road I hadn’t filled the tank, only had 35-50 % filled. I think I’ll fill it next stop, maybe the pump is sucking air out of the tank that I need to displace in order to get things back on an even keel.. thanks again for the vinegar idea! mark
  21. Thanks John, Oliver suggested a vinegar purge as well.. but didn’t provide the recipe... thanks for that! we are on the road currently, I’ll give it a try when we are out of the camper for a couple days..
  22. Ok, I’ll try that. We’ve been using a filter everyday. The toilet is the odd bit of this ...
  23. So I’ve got good water pressure at the galley sink.. with both city water and using the pump and tank.. I’ve got really low water pressure at the bathroom sink, and even lower water pressure ( looks like anyway) at the toilet.. Again, this is the case trying both city and house water supplies. We’ve had the camper in storage for a month, prior to that everything worked fine everyday for a couple months.. nothing has frozen.. there doesn’t seem ( no sputtering ) to be air in the lines.... I’ve cleaned the plastic bits out of the screen.. any thoughts? thanks!
  24. Tomorrow we head from Florida to California.. then from California to Maine in a month or so.. if the border opens up this summer we will celebrate by going to Newfoundland.. seems like I perpetually getting ready for camping season🙂
  25. I’m not sure the sensors on the tanks are all that accurate.. or consistent for that matter. Usually our gray tank will get to zero, but sometimes it reads 6%... even though it’s empty. Next time yours is “stuck” on 15%, raise the front of the camper.. see if more water comes out.. if not, 15% is actually zero. Try lowering the front end as well.. as counter intuitive as that may sound, it may help “burp” the system....
