In that case, I just rearrange the inserts and put my ancient Coleman griddle across two adjacent burners. I got a 12+ round pizza stone at Christmas, and I'm going to try biscuits on it. If that works, I'll try pizza. The aluminum lid doesn't hold in much heat, so I may need to add water underneath and use steam to heat the pizza like I did with the cinnamon rolls. Snow Peak used to make a single unit (the 9"X14" inserts) titanium charcoal grill with adjustable height firebox, but that's been long discontinued. Used ones have ridiculous asking prices. MAX Burner
We're all over the map on camp stoves... We're both pretty much "foodies" and love to cook. Volume and weight not being an issue we'd have our Weber grill, 22" BS, and the 10" Smithy dutch oven for full range of outdoor cooking options. Depending on the trip, we may take all 3 - this current trip, only the BS came along because I'm flying solo and I like the griddle for breakfast and dinner options. Here's a snap of last night's "BS Fest": Strip steak seared to med-rare, potatoes with rosemary and garlic.... It cooks really well and is now easy to pack. I run it off the onboard propane tanks. What hose and adapter did you use to connect to the quick connect? I'm researching the 17in and it comes with the little green bottles and their connector. They offer a hose to connect to 20lb tanks but we don't need/can't use the attached regulator. Thanks. We have a hose that connects to the Blackstone and the other end is a quick connect that goes in to the trailer. No regulator. I’m sure I found it on Amazon. You can get an adapter for the BS. Pic connected to my 17” BS. This or a similar hose spans between the Oliver and the BS, I’m partial to MB Sturgis. I have two 15’ hoses; use one or both depending on distance from Oliver. Patriot
In doing a little bit of a deeper dive for a little larger prep and grill table, this portable aluminum table on Amazon might be in the ticket. Ronbrink
4 hours ago, Patriot said: this portable aluminum table on Amazon might be in the ticket. Based on my experience, the BS performs best when level as possible or perhaps slated a bit toward the grease trap. I find many campsites to slope, so having a cook table with adjustable legs helps in dialing in an optimum cooking surface. This was one important criteria when I shopped my tables. 3 2020 OLEll, Twin, 579: No installed solar, Renogy 40A DC-DC charger, 460Ah LFP battery bank/Victron SmartShunt, Hughes Autoformer, dual Lagun tables, auxiliary Cerbo-S GX/Victron 30A Blue Smart IP22 Charger combo, Dreiha Atmos 4.4 a/c upgrade. 2019 GMC Savana 2500 Cargo Van: 6.0L V8 Vortec, 6-Speed Automatic; Explorer Limited SE, Low-Top 7 Passenger van conversion, RWD. MAX Burner
11 hours ago, Ronbrink said: the BS performs best when level as possible or perhaps slated a bit toward the grease trap. I Same here, for sure. We use metal forks under the BS feet to fine tune the slope towards the grease trap. Small plastic wedges would do the trick as well, FYI. @Patriot - your Amazon table is the same dimensions and design as the roll-up table found on the REI site; but a better price point. Wandering Sagebrush
A stove and grill related practice… we always have a piece of plywood along to go under the grill, and protect plastic tables from the heat. I don’t want to contribute to the too many park tables with the art work of melted surfaces. 3 Hull #364 - The Roadrunner 2023 F350 CCLB SRW 6.7L

Moderator+ ScubaRx Posted May 29 Moderator+ Share Posted May 29 We’ve had a half dozen different grills since we acquired our first Oliver back in 2008. From a SS ceramic brick grill to a Weber Q. All were more trouble than they were worth for one reason or another. Some were always too hot, some not hot enough, some were messy to clean and all were impossible to pack into the vehicle efficiently. Until we bought a Black Stone. It easily breaks down into two almost equally sized pieces. I built a rack attached to the bed slide in the Silverado to specifically hold them. I also bought this folding table to set it on. This is the best system, by far, that we’ve ever had. 3 1 Steve, Tali and our dog Rocky plus our beloved dogs Storm, Lucy, Maggie and Reacher (all waiting at the Rainbow Bridge) 2008 Legacy Elite I - Outlaw Oliver, Hull #026 | 2014 Legacy Elite II - Outlaw Oliver, Hull #050 | 2022 Silverado High Country 3500HD SRW Diesel 4x4
