  1. I was referring to my Oliver OEM external fan. I have replaced both the fan and the thermostat. My add-on internal fan runs all of the time. Mossey
  2. I, on the other hand leave my fan switched on 24/7 365 and let the thermostat decide when to run it or not. Mossey
  3. I noticed AC condensate water dripping off the rear curb side roof at a COE campground along the Arkansas River and chalked it up the the high humidity we were experiencing. The next day we were at Choctaw Lake in Mississippi and the water started running off over the curb side window. After experimenting with leveling the trailer, I found that when the curb side was low, the water ran off that side. I could move the runoff water to the rear by raising the nose. And best of all , I could stop all roof runoff by raising the curb side and all of the water drained from condensate drain tube. We did some troubleshooting at home and found that water would leak from the curb side condensate drain cup whenever the curb side was low. I finally found a posting on the Airstream forum about installing the drain pan kit. I ordered the kit and an extra foam gasket. I completed the drain kit installation when I gained access to a shop and could take my time removing the AC and find out the source of the leak, which was a broken nipple on the curb side drain cup. I don’t know if this will have any bearing on your issue, but I know my troubleshooting took me in a different direction than I was heading in at the very start. Mossey
  4. Planning is not my strong point so I’ll have to take your word on that! I just take life one hill at a time. Mossey
  5. If there are campers lined up behind us at the dump station, instead of rinsing the black tank, we just dump a bucket of water into the toilet with our normal mix of a cap full of Calgon water softener and a cap full of Dawn dish soap and do a complete black tank rinse at the next opportunity. If I am patient while waiting in line, I expect the same from those behind us. It also gives us a chance to start our dump procedure. I do try to check out the dump site while I coming into the campground so I have an idea of what to expect when my turn comes. I have even gone into a dump from the wrong direction when the slope of the drive would leave me tail high and it was beyond the reach of the front jack. Most RV’s dump from the middle, so the slope may not be a challenge for them. The main thing to remember is go slow and think it through. Mossey
  6. We generally hit leave the house with 15 gallons of fresh water, 1/2 gallon of black and grey is empty. But we also carry at least 5 gallons of drinking water split between the Ollie and the tow vehicle. Mossey
  7. 5/16" bolts have a 1/2" head. Put a couple of nuts on the threaded end, using 1 as a stop nut for the 2nd one and use an open end wrench. Mossey
  8. I would start inspecting the water system using the following diagram. Look for damaged hot water supply lines such as leaks or kinks. Inspect the handle of the faucet for correct operation. Mossey
  9. I have a 2004 EU2000i I am not sure if the EU2200i would fit or not. My generator has to be sitting in the correct position so that the handle fits between the ribs of the inside top which run length wise. The pictures usually show the the outside of the top and those ribs run width wise. And I would say the price below is better than what I saw on Amazon. Mossey
  10. That would be the Buckeye Pavilion, (from someone who does remember). Mossey
  11. I use the same Rubbermaid container to carry my Honda generator in the back of our SUV. I have never used it in the front basket because I don’t carry anything of value there. I have never tested it in the rain, but it does keep the gasoline fumes contained. You could always put some silicone or rubber edge trim around the top lip of the tub to create a gasket. Mossey
  12. That is a great upgrade for Bessie! Mossey
  13. Make sure you order a little extra. Then you can add a little piece if they shorten up. I have added pieces to the top of the windows to fill the small gaps. I never figured out if I cut them short or if they shrunk on their own, but I do usually blame myself. After all, I touched it last. Mossey
  14. We added new singles from Southern Mattress in North Carolina when we converted from a standard to twin bed arrangement. They are very light and easy to lift or move. We find the comfort level to very good, although comfort is very subjective. I would suggest locating a mattress manufacturer in your area and discuss their bedding options. It would make it easier to try before buying. Mossey
  15. @ScubaRx Didn’t you move your water supply lines from the rear wall of the basement to a mid cabin location behind the fresh/grey water tanks when you completed your recent plumbing mods? That seems like a location less susceptible to cold weather events. Mossey
  16. Since this post has two different but related subjects, are you referring to the Lagun table mount or the standard to twin bed conversion? Overland’s original implementation of the Lagun table mount was in his twin bed LE2. AndrewK ordered the rails and rivets from Oliver and converted his standard to twin beds himself. We dropped our standard LE2 off at the factory for the standard to twin bed conversion while heading from Florida to Illinois for a family reunion. Since AndrewK is based in San Diego, CA., the cross country drive would not have been convenient. I do believe he was the first to complete this mod in the field. I hope I didn’t make this answer any more confusing than needed. Mossey
  17. I am sure C&M Currie will respond with more information about this mod, but until then I have included a plumbing and electrical diagram from the 2017 LE2 manual to help you focus on the what it might entail. Mossey Plumbing Diagram Wiring Diagram
  18. Thank you for the information! Mossey
  19. Did you winterize? 😂 Mossey
  20. Did you get the replacement glass from Oliver? And I must add "excellent caulking job" on the outer frame! Which caulk did you use? Mossey
  21. I know it’s early, but this is my favorite for post of the year. It’ great to see the widespread participation. The history lessons are really just memories for a lot of us. Thanks Mainiac for getting the ball rolling! Mossey
  22. Jason, Thank you for the update and clarification! It is always good to hear explanations concerning changes to Oliver Travel Trailer production from the service department. Mossey
  23. We have a 120v duplex outlet, a cigarette lighter outlet and a USB port on both sides of our nightstand. I have kicked and broken a couple of USB connectors while sleeping, so we only use the ones on Krunch’s side. As some of you know, she’s short enough that her feet can’t reach them while sleeping.😉 Mossey
  24. All of my zerks are oriented to the inside of the frame. So I use a creeper and the only trouble spot for me is getting my belly under the axles.🤔 Mossey
  25. GJ This is a picture of the Dometic A/C drain kit instructions. The 14" square gasket in your picture of the drain kit is used in addition to the existing 14" gasket around the hull penetration with a notch cut into the original to allow passage of the drain tube from the cups to the internal drain tube. The 2 straight gaskets are stacked at the rear of the base plate to level to unit. Mossey
