Fast question about meals at the April Rally
Patriot replied to Teaney Hull 292's topic in Events & Rallies
It’s clear on the agenda your pretty much on your own for meals. Other than the opening ceremony meal which is provided at no cost to those who have registered. The lodge has breakfast and dinner available, naturally pay as you go. We typically skip lunch and enjoy a late breakfast and dinner at our site. There are a few local restaurants in Guntersville, check reviews. https://olivertraveltrailers.com/events/oliver-owners-rally/ Safe Travels! 🇺🇸 -

Always been a big George Straight fan….true country music. Fond memories of Gruene Hall, a small venue in New Bruanfels, Texas. It’s where I proposed to my bride before being deployed to the Gulf War. We are still fans of the late Hal Ketchum and were regulars supporters of his music. He was playing one night at Gruene Hall and I mentioned to him during a break that I had proposed to Kathy. Hal dedicated this song to us on our special night…”Old Soldiers”.

Propane Tank Storage Cover Seal Replacement
Patriot replied to Gliddenwoods's topic in General Discussion
Per @topgun2 suggestion, I applied this a few years ago (no glue required) to the dog house aka LP tank cover edge and also the edge of the twin beds. Ours has held up great. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00QAJJJ3Y?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title&th=1 -
Welcome to the forum and congrats on your new Oliver. Lots of great info on here as well as Oliver University. Safe Travels! 🇺🇸

Fortunately we have not experienced any issues with our Truma Aqua go in our 5 years of ownership since our delivery in March of 2020. I am glad Truma and Oliver are addressing this recall as quickly as the supply chain allows. Whether in or out of warranty it’s my understanding this repair free of charge if you own a serial numbered recalled unit. I have not read or heard of any Oliver’s or other RVs equipped with the Truma Aqua Go burning down. Jason B at Oliver Service told me the repair/swap out of the burner takes approximately 40-45 min. Great pics/vid and solid write up @Galway Girl. An open source article worthy of reading - https://www.rvtravel.com/oliver-travel-trailers-with-faulty-water-heaters-recalled/

John, We have found the Garmin RV 890 to be invaluable on our extended 43 and 48 day trips in the last two years. Super intuitive and my copilot/nav can pull it off the dash mount and quickly look up and map up just about anything CG, site seeing or travel related. We also programmed our trailer height which provides plenty of warning and keeps us off those routes. A nice piece of tech that simplifies our travel experience. I would buy again.

If you don’t get any replies, here are a few popular RV apps you may want to try- https://uprootedtraveler.com/best-rving-apps/ We like RVParky and Campendium. Others may chime in with favorite go to apps.

It’s my understanding that the Oliver Seminars, dinner and door prizes are for prepaid registered rally members only. Registered attendees receive a lanyard style ID which identifies attendees as a prepaid rally member at the registration area. If you walk or drive over to the Oliver registration area after you check in at Lake Guntersville SP front desk, the Oliver staff will gladly answer your questions on attending seminars. I don’t know if they allow late registration. Maybe an exception can be made, a great question to ask the Oliver staff. Registered or not, I think you will be glad you attended. It’s a great time to meet a lot of super nice Oliver owners and maybe make a few new friends and learn about how others have added modifications to make their Oliver their own.

In the past (this is our 4th rally) registration typically closes before the rally begins. It appears the deadline this year is April 1st. This is usually to get a head count for the opening ceremony dinner, a rally ‘swag bag” name tag lanyards, and a 2025 Oliver Rally t-shirt. You will likely register at the Gathering Place up on the hill. Plenty of parking if you choose to drive up to register. Weigh Safe 180 Aluminum hitch with 3” shank, 10” drop
Patriot replied to Patriot's topic in Towing an Oliver
Hey Dave, Great choice on TVs, I really like the 10 speed and of course the engine brake especially on roads like the Teton Pass with 10% grade. Ford nailed it with the engine brake and 10 speed transmission. My particular Super Duty has the Tremor factory lift which if I recall is approx 1.5-2” depending on your tire size. I also run Nitto Ridge Grapplers. My recommendation is that you order the 8” drop and you should be fine since the standard SD does not have the factory lift. I do have another Aluma trailer that I use for various utilities. So the 10” drop with my trucks lift serves me well. I highly recommend this to keep things quiet when towing. - https://www.hitchclamp.com/pages/videos It works great. Are you gong to be at the Rally? If so let’s get together and talk Super Duties! 👍🏻 If you have any other questions shoot me a PM, glad to help. -David -
Love our Truma and glad you got it resolved! We learn from experience that we learn from experience! 👍🏻😊
