  1. NCeagle, We have used Meguiar's #67 one step compound achieving good results for water spots and light scratches: https://www.meguiars.com/marine/products/meguiars-marinerv-one-step-compound-m6732-32-oz-liquid After using #67 then we applied Meguiar's Flagship premium marine wax/cleaner with good results: https://www.meguiarsdirect.com/meguiars-flagship-premium-cleaner-wax-32oz.html
  2. Mike, Appreciate info on the park and annual pass.
  3. SherMica, Hope you don't mind me asking questions about camping in some TX State Parks, too. We're planning to camp in SW Texas during the next month. Does anyone have additional information on the following Texas State Parks? Monahans SP TX & Lake Colorado SP TX Thanks,
  4. John, For a place to stay, just off of I40, here's some campgrounds: Santa Rosa SP NM & Homolovi SP AZ. While camping at Homolovi SP AZ, we got to "Stand on the Corner at Winslow Arizona" and attend a car show:
  5. Mike, Looking great!
  6. John, My battery tray from Oliver does not have a Morryde part number marked or stamped on it. Before buying the tray from Oliver, checked out the Morryde website and found a 14"X21" battery tray assembly. From what I can see on their site it has a single latch and 250 pound capacity with part #SP60-43 and available for less $ from different sources. The battery tray from Oliver has 300 pound capacity with dual latch system. Sliding Utility Tray | MORryde
  7. John, The 14"X21" Morryde 300 pound capacity LE2 battery tray from Oliver cost $195.48 plus $35 for packaging & shipping. Use various size Pelican cases for storage of various items, but they are pricey.
  8. Maverick, The new battery tray is 6.8 pounds heavier than Ollie's original tray installed 2015. It has more rivets, heavier slide/bearings, taller overall tray, and dual latches. Even the latches are secured by additional rivets. It's very robust design compared to Ollie's LE2 original tray. Honestly believe everyone with a tray of the same vintage as our old unit should closely inspect their tray at least every 5 years for corrosion and loose rivets. Temped to go with Lithium batteries, but have not made a decision, yet. Probably have a couple years life left on the 12V AGM batteries.
  9. I did not want to use RCA cables either. Only have one HDMI output on our TV, too. Good luck! 🙂
  10. Plan to sandwich 1/8" X 4" neoprene rubber between battery tray rails and fiberglass. Only using two 12V AGM type 27 batteries, so have plenty of room to place 1/8" X 4" UHMW plastic between batteries and tray to protect battery from metal hooks on straps. Secured 1/8 UHMW plastic on each side with one machine screw and tinnerman type nut that will not contact batteries.
  11. Received a new battery tray from Oliver. New tray is over 6 pounds heavier than original unit. The battery straps connect in the same fashion on both trays. New unit on right: Old unit: New unit: Same footprint and bolt pattern on both units: New unit top has larger/stronger bearing/slide assemblies:
  12. nrvale0, Few years ago our Jensen TV did the same thing. Believe it was the HDMI outlet on our TV in our 2015 LE2. Ran RCA cables from TV to Furrion stereo/DVD player to fix the problem. Now have to choose AV (if I remember correctly) with TV remote instead of HDMI: TV: Furrion unit:
  13. Maverick and Mossey, Appreciate the information. Like I mentioned earlier, will post photos of the new tray from Oliver along with differences in old and new trays. This thread has some good battery tray info! 👍
  14. John, Thanks, Understand now. On Hull #75 eight self drilling screws were used to secure the tray to fiberglass, but rivets were not used for that purpose. Battery trays were attached differently to fiberglass on some trailers.
  15. Mossey, If I understand you correctly, there were rivets installed through your front tray rails into the fiberglass? Thanks,
  16. John, Are these the rivet heads you're talking about? Already have new 1/8" neoprene rubber to sandwich between the tray rails that originally contacted fiberglass on our 2015 LE2. Oliver has not emailed the shipping notice for the new tray assembly, hoping tray will ship before New Years. Here's bottom of old tray where you can see the front rivet heads will contact the battery compartment fiberglass floor unless something is sandwiched between the tray rails and fiberglass:
  17. The original batteries in our #75 LE2 Ollie were group 27 12V lead/acid batteries that spilled acid in the tray. A few years ago installed Group 27 12V AGM batteries and no longer have acid spillage issues. Removed battery tray to clean and paint. Saw several issues. Found corrosion from battery acid on the battery tray and tray slides & ball bearings. Also found loose rivets that would eventually fail if not replaced. After thinking about replacing slides and rivets, decided to buy a new tray assembly from Oliver. Ordered a new tray assembly last Tuesday that's currently installed on LE2 trailers. When new tray is received will post photos of old and new tray showing differences. Like what I have seen of new trays from photos posted in this thread that appear to better protect batteries.
  18. John is right how easily a pneumatic grease gun operates. After a grease gun discussion here last year, I purchased a Lube-Shuttle one hand manual grease gun with flex hose/straight coupler and G200EP multi purpose grease from Amazon. It's expensive, but very nice manual grease gun/cartridge system. This grease gun system does not take up much storage room on camping trips and no drips/mess with the Lube-Shuttle grease gun system. Also use RedLine CV-2 grease in a tub from Amazon, for packing wheel bearings on four trailers including Ollie, great grease. 19. John, Maverick modified his tray locking system, but have not modified mine. Making repairs to my battery tray right now. JD's photo looks like a good idea.
  20. Maverick, Nice, strong, and simple fix! Thanks,
  21. Maverick, Rivets are starting to loosen where the battery was impacting, found that issue today after removing the tray from Ollie. That could cause premature failure where bearing slides connect to the tray, too. Need to drill out rivets, then reverse and replace them. Already have various rivets, manual & electric rivet pullers. The battery strap hook can be replaced with a longer strap getting rid of the hook that can possibly damage the battery. Lightweight Lithium batteries sure would reduce stress on the battery tray.
  22. John, Your trays were riveted correctly and our trays were not from the OEM. Hopefully our tray is not normal for 2015 Ollies. Original batteries from Oliver were lead/acid 12V group 27 batteries, that's where the corrosion mess came from. Installed AGM batteries 3 years ago, before Lithium batteries were on my radar. Did not look closely or see the corrosion until taking a closer look when we started talking about Lithium batteries a few weeks ago. Now that the tray is out, going to clean & paint, maybe buy Lithium batteries, too. Will see.
  23. We have two batteries and use the rest of tray space for other electrical stuff. One or two Lithium batteries would work for us, too! I'm all about reducing weight and Lithium batteries are great for that. Will see.
