  1. Pat, Looks like you can remove the night stand. Here's a photo of night stand from above with top removed.
  2. Installed our EZ Flex system either 2016 or 2017 on our 2015 Ollie. Not a difficult installation, but have to admit I damaged at least one of the bronze bushings during installation 😬. Grease every 6000 miles, and keep Ollie mostly on paved highways. Greased EZ flex system while camping on long trips, too.
  3. Dan, Cover locking mechanism:
  4. Nice looking Diamondback cover! We really like our Diamondback, too!
  5. John, Jason can confirm you have a 5200 pound Dexter axle on a new manufacture Legacy Elite single axle trailer. Our LE2 has 5200 pound Dexter axles. Took the following Dexter bearing/seal numbers off of our Dexter axle build sheet. Crossed the Dexter numbers over to Timken & Chicago Rawhide numbers. Dexter also has a build sheet with brake, seal, bearing, and dimension information available for your axle when you give Dexter the axle serial number stamped on the axle. 2 Each Bearings Dexter # 031-029-02 or Timken # 15123 2 each Bearings Dexter #031-030-02 or Timken #25580 2 each Seals Dexter #010-036-00 seal or CR #22532 Hope this helps,
  6. Our neighbor asked if I wanted to test drive his F-250 with 6.7L diesel & 10,000 miles. Debbie & I tested it on back roads and highway today. Handles great, supple ride, not too soft or harsh, plenty of power, and quiet, too. Can only imagine if we were towing Ollie, how we would need to check to be sure Ollie was connected. What a nice tow vehicle!
  7. We live next door in Lincoln County. Found this on Mecklenburg County: https://www.mecknc.gov/TaxCollections/SiteAssets/Pages/Mecklenburg-County-Tax-Rates/2020-2021 Tax Brochure.pdf
  8. Fredmin, Apologize for drifting away from the thread topic. Some states ask a little extra for services, too. 😬 Been looking at TN, TX, or FL for relocation for a while. Found an area in TN to look at first, next FL, then TX.
  9. Planning next camping trip to TN to look at property. 👍
  10. Really like states without state income tax and no annual personal property taxes! 👍
  11. We keep Ollie in an airplane hangar in another North Carolina county that has lower tax rates compared to the NC county of our residence. Had to give NC DMV the airport address for where taxes are paid on Ollie, but they still mail the annual registration document to our home address for paying annual NC license registration and tax fees.
  12. We really admired newer Ollies with white framed shades. During the last visit to the mother ship during 2019, had a new set of white frame shades installed! We really like them!!!! 🙂
  13. Here's additional shade information. We had some cords to wear out and replaced some of them a few years ago. Found it best to replace with the same diameter cord, using larger diameter cord makes the assembly stick when I replaced some. Can't find the original cord diameter in my notes.
  14. Mike, Please forgive me for drifting from thread topic. John, Yes, they are solar MC4 connectors. They work fine for our application, but Anderson couplers looks well suited for rugged environments when you're boondocking.
  15. John, I don't have experience with Anderson connectors, but I'm using Bouge RV connectors with 35' of 10/2 flexible cable cut in three equal lengths so I don't use all 35' when not needed. Using Bouge connectors with good results. https://www.bougerv.com/products/crimper-tool-2 Thanks,
  16. John, Mounted the Renogy 20A waterproof solar controller in the battery compartment directly connected (fused) to the AGM batteries. Renogy does not recommend mounting the controller in an enclosed compartment with standard lead acid batteries. Since the battery compartment is vented and using AGM batteries, mounted the controller in the compartment with good results. This solar panel has been working great for years. Maximum charge rate seen so far with the 100W panel and controller located at the batteries is 6 amps using 35' of charge cord between the panel & controller, have seen battery full charge with this arrangement. This Renogy controller has several charge profiles including lithium & AGM batteries. Plan to use this arrangement with lithium batteries in the future, too. With 35' of cord and controller at battery location: The panel is in the sun in left portion of photo:
  17. Maverick, The tray mounting holes were located exactly the same as original tray holes, no modification needed. Using 12V Duracell Group 27 AGM marine/RV batteries. May eventually go with Lithium, but have a few years of life left in the AGMs. The 100W Renogy suitcase solar panel charges the Duracells nicely with three sections of cord combined of up to 35' for when Ollie in in the shade. The white plastic seen in the tray is a combination of UHMW plastic and kitchen cutting boards. Thanks! Bill https://www.driveduracell.com/pub/media/wysiwyg/2152.pdf
  18. Mike, Beautiful installation! Here's the new tray assembly installed with two 12V group 27 AGM batteries and Renogy Solar Controller:
  19. John and Anita, Glad to see you got it buffed out! Looking good!
  20. Yep, They even washed the bag! 👍
  21. Last time we camped close to Cody WY, found a laundromat that washed & folded our clothes by the pound. We went out for lunch wile they took care of our laundry. 👍
  22. NCeagle, We have used Meguiar's #67 one step compound achieving good results for water spots and light scratches: https://www.meguiars.com/marine/products/meguiars-marinerv-one-step-compound-m6732-32-oz-liquid After using #67 then we applied Meguiar's Flagship premium marine wax/cleaner with good results: https://www.meguiarsdirect.com/meguiars-flagship-premium-cleaner-wax-32oz.html
  23. Mike, Appreciate info on the park and annual pass.
  24. SherMica, Hope you don't mind me asking questions about camping in some TX State Parks, too. We're planning to camp in SW Texas during the next month. Does anyone have additional information on the following Texas State Parks? Monahans SP TX & Lake Colorado SP TX Thanks,
  25. John, For a place to stay, just off of I40, here's some campgrounds: Santa Rosa SP NM & Homolovi SP AZ. While camping at Homolovi SP AZ, we got to "Stand on the Corner at Winslow Arizona" and attend a car show:
