  1. We have used a VAVA dash cam with 1080P for years, but you'd need to be more specific in what you expect beyond resolution before others can answer wisely. Charlie.
  2. There's a reason battery companies don't warranty them forever... Additionally, not all devices on the same system necessarily "see" SOCs values the same. Charlie.
  3. We "boondock" in our E2. The hitch, ground clearance, tire size and suspension system make our Ollie very maneuverable in the rolling desert hills. Amen. Charlie
  4. If all suggestions checked out as not being causal, I'd have to ask if the LP tank was low - too low to provide pressure beyond the first burst. Long shot, but... Charlie
  5. I absolutely agree with "I guess it depends on what you expect and actually do when camping" Charlie.
  6. Today, our lowest grade of gas in this area $4.68. We are committed to three long trips totaling more than 10,000 miles this summer. Ugh. Charlie.
  7. Prior to owning an Ollie and while at government sites with no hookups, we went about 5 days with flushing a 15 gallon black tank before worrying about being "full." Because of the lack of privacy in the site surroundings - there was no outdoor relief. With the Ollie, we have no worries - ours is composting. Charlie
  8. The previous owner of our 2020 E2 reported issues with the OEM 12v Jensen TV - they couldn't play DVDs - we don't play DVDs. We chose to replace the Jensen TV with a LG Smart TV - it has a controller similar to those at home🙂. Yes, it's AC powered but it doesn't use much. We didn't like the huge black umbilical cord that held all the wires for the TV so we we removed the wires needed for the stereo/DVD and discarded that huge black cord. We use just the cord for power and the antenna - wrapped in a smaller white cord wrap that blends into the white background of the Ollie. We now watch local TV, stream HULU via our hot spots and cast movies downloaded to our tablets - and our eyes no longer fixate on that ugly black umbilical cord. Charlie.
  9. Love the eastern half of southern Arizona - especially the wine country and rolling hills. Usually we're there three or four times a year - staying at Harvest Host sites like High Lonesome Vineyards and Birds and Barrels Vineyard. Both have wines that fit my palette. We also have stayed with the nice folks in Benson numerous times at the over 55 Pato Blanco Lakes RV Resort.
  10. We love lithium for many reasons - especially the lithium battery management systems. What we see omitted in most lithium-related posts is the charging limitations - not how you charge - but how fast you can replace that expended energy. So, it's the age-old "what goes out must come in." Hence, we were happier with four lithiums in our RV than the three we currently have in our Ollie. We were happier when we could provide 40 amp hours while driving than the 5 we currently have. We typically use 120 amp hours during a 24 period when boondocking and not fully replacing those amp hours simply means our stay is shortened. Charlie.
  11. We have a small Iceco 12v and used it a lot in our Airstream, but our Ollie Elite II frig/frzr seems big enough if we are near services. When boondocking in remote areas, we do use the Iceco as a freezer only. Charlie.
  12. John, I hope to never physically get on top of the Ollie while on the road. And, the limitation of 8.5 ft. will prevent someone my size and age from doing so easily 🙂. Yes, I think I can reach all that I need to reach while on the road - the operative word is "road." Charlie.
  13. John, I returned the collapsible 12.5 foot and got the 8.5 foot for the road. I didn't feel like I needed to carry the taller one with me on the road. Charlie.
  14. We purchased a collapsible and found it too lengthy and too heavy. We returned it and got a shorter, lighter one that we can use to reach the Ollie roof. If we need to get up on the roof, we'll use taller ladders at home. Charlie.
  15. Battleborn uses his examples as discounted "bundles." They allowed us discounts when we added components to one of the partially completed systems to make it a "bundle." Charlie.
  16. We purchased a Tow Tuff HD Dolly Adjustable Trailer 1000# Capacity tote from Tractor Supply last year. We returned it after it twisted and began to collapse for a full refund. Charlie.
  17. Whatever the service department used last year to "re-caulk" our 2020 still has a tacky surface and collects dust and road grime. It does wash off but looks terrible after each time out on the road. Additionally, that sticky excess that was wiped off during the re-caulking makes it look like the caulking gun was given to an impatient teenager. Charlie
  18. When I explored getting the 2021 Ranger Tremor, which would fit in my short garage, I considered all those normal items regarding weight, etc. When I got to the fact the the gas tank was 10.x gallons - I stopped. Charlie.
  19. Yes, it was Terry and Laura. We had a hiker stop us and ask if there was an Oliver Meet there as they thought they had seen at least 4. I think they counted Terry and Laura twice as they had moved to a different space that became available. 🤗 Charlie.
  20. Boondocking in the only non-electric space in the Quail section of Dead Horse Ranch State Park (AZ). We just fit as the height restriction was 10' for RVs shorter than 30'. BTW, there was one more Ollie II staying in this section of the park - from Colorado.
  21. I run a Champion Dual 2500 generator (inverter) from our Ollie propane ports to charge our lithium batteries when the sun doesn't shine and/or power the A/C, microwave, etc. when shore power isn't available. I called Champion three times before I got the answers I needed. Each call took almost an hour to get through to them. Afterwards, I was told call after hours as they have had to go to 24/7 to handle all the calls. Off-hour calls have short wait times. I asked about the little black "finger" that is on their quick connect setup and was told it was needed to cease all gasoline flows. (I don't plan to ever use gasoline in it.) Because I asked, they assumed my little black finger had broken and said they would send me a new one. I said OK, but... They said there was no charge for the first one. Again, I said OK. When the new one arrived, I removed the small regulator but kept the larger looking diaphragm. BTW, If you haven't noticed the configuration of their male coupler end is different from those most common. Added a "null" plug in one of the two generator outlets and now things run just fine. Now we use the original connections for a 20# tank as needed and the newly built connections just for the Ollie. Charlie
  22. You might look into the new "wind walls" that can be used as a visual barrier while providing energy. Charlie.
  23. Interesting place... Waaaay too cold for my wife!
  24. Spike, Have you ever checked to see if the 712 is "locked?" The 712 can only be "locked" or "unlocked" via the device itself - not via the app. If locked, changes made via the app are not actually saved. See attached. Charlie.
  25. Here's something to consider when changing from lead or AGM batteries to Battleborn lithium batteries. When more than one battery is connected, the efficiency of the battery management systems require them to be hooked up like in this picture. Charlie.
