Indeed they do. Bill

Nothing "wrong" with that grease. I find your picture and the wheel bearing location interesting. If there is a wheel that would have this kind of issue I'd first guess that it would be on the curbside wheels. My thinking is that with the "crown" of most roads the curbside wheels get more of the weight (of course assuming that the trailer was "balanced in the first place) and that more often than not the curbside roadway surface tends to be a bit rougher than anything more towards the center of the roadway. In this case with the information given it would appear that this is a case of a "bad" bearing. Indeed, they all will wear out at some point but this would appear to be somewhat early. Glad you caught the problem BEFORE it became a "problem". Bill

Mod idea needed for exterior panel warping
topgun2 replied to Cameron's topic in Ollie Modifications
I'd put in a Service ticket and see what they have to say about this. Obviously, if you are still under warranty then it will be a "no brainer". Bill -
Depending on the size of the humans and the pups you might find the smaller Ollie to be a bit cramped. It would be best to actually take a look at each model or even better take the factory tour. Welcome! Bill

Have you checked to see if the microwave is still plugged in? How about that microwave circuit breaker? When you have time - please add your year, model of Oliver to your profile. Bill

A bunch of talk but as of yet I'm not aware that anyone has actually made this mod. Yes. Nope - black tank is in every Ollie and the standard is for a regular toilet to be installed on top of that black tank. The Nature's Head toilet is an option and it sits on top of the already installed black tank but, obviously, doesn't empty anything into that black tank. Yes - SeaDawg for one. No "custom orders". But, you can always ask. The 2023 that Oliver brought to this year's Owner's Rally had a compressor fridge in it. So, that now just might be an option. Again, you can always ask. Keep those questions coming and keep reading here on the Forum. All of the questions above have been discussed here. Finally - a big welcome to the Forum - we are happy that you have found us! Bill

No guarantee - but - if the green light is "on" at the switch then it is likely that there is power getting to the pump. Have you checked the wire connections at the pump? Have you tried the water pump switch in the bathroom/shower AND the one in the main cabin?

Charlie - When you turn on the water pump switch does the little light on the switch glow green? How did you fill the fresh water tank? Have you looked under the curbside bed to make sure that your valves are in the correct position? What year and model Ollie do you own? Have you checked the water pump fuse? That's a start...... Bill

Hot water press relief valve
topgun2 replied to John C Marsh Jr's topic in Mechanical & Technical Tips
As with any heating element - they do go bad over time. However they are not "sacrificial" like the anode rod is. I've never removed mine on any of the campers I've owned over the past 25 years and none ever failed to work. Bill -
A couple of comments regarding the BRP - 1 - The road surface is fine and should cause no problem in towing an Oliver. However, when problems do arise it is normally due to everyone wanting to see the view - the driver included! There are plentiful parking areas and "turnouts" that can be used and should be used for this purpose. 2 - Many people that drive the BRP are not used to driving on mountain roads that curve and twist and go up and down. Add this to towing and the result is slower traffic. People get impatient and drive inappropriately. Drivers of slow moving vehicles should be aware of the traffic around them and use the "turnouts" mentioned above to let faster vehicles move on down the road. 3 - Fog is not uncommon along the BRP. Drivers should use common sense before attempting to drive these mountain roads in fog or heavy rain. 4 - There are numerous campgrounds all along the BRP route. Certainly do not be afraid to get off the BRP and take time to enjoy the forest, towns and attractions that these may provide. One such campground is the Davidson River Campground. Plenty of hiking, fishing, biking, and waterfall looking to do plus its an easy drive to the Sierra Nevada Brewery and/or the Oscar Blues Brewery if that is your thing. 5 - Don't overlook some "feeder" roads to the BRP such as highway 215 and 276. Note - unless you are really used to mountain roads I would not recommend taking 215 with the Ollie in tow. Even 276 from Waynesville to or from the BRP can be interesting. Once you have a good idea of the time you have and what you might want to see - post it here. There are a number of Oliver owners that live near and/or have experience with the BRP that could give you a plethora of information. Bill

If you have the Oliver supplied surge protector inside your Ollie, it should have a remote readout that cycles between various readouts. One of these should be telling you the voltage that is actually coming into your Ollie. I'm guessing that the voltage was too low which, in turn, means that your amperage was too low. If that be the case then it is highly likely that switching to the 50 amp at the pedestal would have not helped you. As I remember it, you do not have the solar panel option. If that is the case then I don't think that you have no way of directly telling what amps you are receiving. One of the products on THIS AMAZON page could help either at the pedestal and/or inside your Ollie. In addition, you might want to watch THIS VIDEO for ideas on a fairly inexpensive product that might get you what you need. Good luck! Bill

No wonder I never heard of it - my Elite II never had that in the first place! I'd bet that Oliver started putting that seal on when they switched from the "old" rubber latches to those new fangled jobs.😁 Bill

I'm about a year older than you - in Ollie years - and my 4 T-105's are still hanging in there. I almost pulled the trigger on new batteries a month Before the Owner's Rally but I tested these guys and they all passed. Given the odds I do know that I'm living on borrowed time and that clock is getting louder minute by minute! Certainly you must have taken good care of them - nice job. Bill

geO - Didn't you post a video over on YouTube back in the day when you first got your Ollie and you were having "issues"? I assume that Service corrected these for you? Bill
-
Interesting - This is the first time I've heard about this seal "coming off". Can you get a picture of it? Bill

Too late now - but-always take that glass tray out of the microwave BEFORE leaving camp. It can be stored in various places - I store mine in the cubbie right above the microwave. Bill

Generator consideration for the Elite II

Oh ye of little faith. -
Well - not quite. Get yourself one of THESE to make inserting and retracting the hitch pin through the whale tail even easier. Bill

As JD says above - most any decent chassis grease will do the job. Other than the crawling around the job isn't really very difficult. However, you might want to consider getting some of zerk grease fitting caps like THESE to help keep those fitting cleaner. Bill
