  1. @jd1923 thanks so much for the offer! It will be a couple of weeks before I get another chance to go out to the storage yard to get any idea of exactly what I'll need. I'll let you know what is going on just as soon as I know. Bill
  2. I'm presently in need of some new 4/0 cables. But, given that I only need as few as 2 or as many as 4, and have never needed cable crimpers of wire cutters in this size before, it is simply cheaper to purchase the cables ready made. However, THAT doesn't stop me from being VERY jealous. πŸ€‘ Bill
  3. That's one heck of a foot warmer! Looks a bit like the "donut" but maybe more like a "long John". πŸ€ͺ Bill
  4. ABSOLUTELY!!!!! In fact - if you even think that you smell propane (rotten eggs) don't even switch on a light or strike a match or light the furnace or light the fridge (assuming propane fired fridge) or anything that could cause a spark or open flame. Bill
  5. I'd guess that if hull #117 doesn't have it (and it doesn't) then yours will not have it either! Depending on your intended use - don't forget that the old charger will still work with LI - it simply will not get the LI's to full. That is another benefit of having the solar - because - it will get the LI's to 100% There fore, unless you really have to have them at 100%, there is not necessarily a rush to get a new charger. Bill
  6. There for a second I thought that you were going to say you used a lighter!😬 That would NOT be a good thing!
  7. Besides a cool truck- I did catch a couple of sightings of an Oliver in the background too. Bill
  8. Good to hear in that mine are scheduled to arrive tomorrow.πŸ‘
  9. Apparently that makes two of us!
  10. I was initially thinking you should "safety wire" it shut. But your mention of zip tie got me to thinking - why not use a zip tie that is reusable like THESE or something similar? Bill
  11. Have you checked to make sure that the fridge is plugged in - assuming that it is one of those models? Bill
  12. and a bunch or other stuff too!
  13. No "facts" from me but I agree with your street side reasoning for yet another reason. Since most roads have a crown (the middle of the road is higher than the shoulders of the road such that rain can drain to the shoulders of the road more easily), there is more of the vehicle's weight on the curb side tires versus the street side tires. Therefore, the less weight you have on the side of the vehicle (or trailer) that has only one tire or any questionable tires the better off you probably are. Bill
  14. LOVE IT! He tooted.
  15. Sure is a bunch less expensive than the Viair too.
  16. The battery(ies) could be subject to bouncing around in there? 😬
  17. WHAT! How on earth could THAT happen? We're here - aren't we? 😁
  18. WOW! My Ollie just turned 8 years old about a week ago. So, 1500/117= 1383 hulls that have been made in the past 8 years or 172.875 per year or 3.3245 every week. Just to round things out - I've been told that during the height of production just after Covid hit, the factory was producing about 7 hulls per week. Amazing how time flies! Bill
  19. A number of YouTube videos have tended to disprove this approach. But, I've never personally tried it because (as of now) I've never had this problem. Bill
  20. To quote Google - "A Roadpass account is a single login (email and password) that you can use across our RV and road travel apps. Think of it like an Apple ID or a Google login. It's one secure account you can use to sign into more than one place - fewer logins to remember!Nov 17, 2023" Bill p.s. The cynic in me also says that it just might be a way to get more money from you and me - particularly for the "pro" or "premium" apps and/or services provided.πŸ€”
  21. HDR- "Google", "does roadpass own compendium" and you will get the answers to most of your questions. Bill
  22. I'll second THAT promotion! Bill
  23. Nope! Not because I don't want to - but - because I simply don't know - sorry. Bill
  24. There are times when purchasing a quality item just doesn't make any sense. Several years ago I was talking to a friend of mine about buying one of his sets of "Snap-On" tools from him. He said that given the amount of time that I would use this combined with the type of work that I do (hobby and repair) my purchase simply would not make any economic sense - his recommendation was to just buy the same set in a Craftsman or Kobalt or Ridgid/Huskey brand instead and pocket the extra money. However, there are certainly other times when plunking down that extra money makes perfect economic sense. And, can actually save money over the longer term. Having said this - in the case of RV's, hopefully buyers get a good handle on what their camping needs and wants are prior to buying anything. This is easier said than done though. It sure is awful nice to have all that room of a big 5th wheel until you find out that it is a big PITA to travel with let alone get into and out of many camping spots in more remote places. Knowing now that I really could sell my Oliver for (at least) what I paid for it 8 years ago pales in comparison to the joy I get when people can't believe that it is going into its 9th year and still looks new. Add this to the enjoyment I've had with Twist over the 8 years, I'm absolutely certain that this was the correct choice for me. But, if I only wanted to go to the local RV park for the weekend or had a bunch of kids, I understand that my decision could have been different. Bill
  25. Can I assume that you (nor anyone else) is going to give us a hint as to what to expect at this place? 😬
