John E Davies
If you have had more than one Ollie, please include the mileage of all of them, combined as one figure. I think it will be eye opening to see how many owners “rack up those miles”. Thanks. Moderators SeaDawg Posted October 6, 2021 Moderators Share Posted October 6, 2021 Just for grins, you might want to add 150,000 to 200,000 as a category. Some of us early adopters have traveled a lot of miles. I can think of at least two who would probably fit that bill. We're not quite at the 150k mark yet, as the last two Covid years we only went to our camping property in NC and back. Many years, 12 to 14,000 miles of memories, and beautiful campsites. 1 2008 Ram 1500 4 × 4 2008 Oliver Elite, Hull #12 Florida and Western North Carolina, or wherever the truck goes.... 400 watts solar. Moderators SeaDawg Posted October 6, 2021 Moderators Share Posted October 6, 2021 I agree. That "built to last a lifetime" is more than a slogan. I know our trailer will outlast us, and probably our daughter, too, if maintained. Like our 44 year old fiberglass sailboat, it just keeps on going. We have no hesitancy in taking it into the wilds. Moderators SeaDawg Posted October 6, 2021 Moderators Share Posted October 6, 2021 @Mike and Carol, that's another thing most Oliver owners are good at. Maintaining records, as well as their trailers. and, traveling. You've done a done a lot of traveling in 4 or 5 years. 1 1 2008 Ram 1500 4 × 4 2008 Oliver Elite, Hull #12 Florida and Western North Carolina, or wherever the truck goes.... 400 watts solar. We picked up in the spring of 2016 so we’re at about 5.5 years. Still getting comments at various locations and still being stopped at gas stations and supermarkets by curious folks. About 3900 of that was a 17 day trip to Utah in September. Another 1200 was bringing it home from Tennessee. So without those 2 big trips we'd only be around 1700 miles over 7 months. I only have 4 weeks vacation per year so hoping to do a 2 week trip each year and then we camp within 2-3 hours a couple of weekends each month. Since we're in TX we can camp pretty much year round.
