The solar panel mounting points would be more important to me than the pre-wiring.  I wonder if that is still being installed during a non solar build.

Unless it's changed since September 2022, I was advised there are anchor points in the hull for solar panels even if you don't get solar during production.

The only option I was offered, was that they could add a solar port on the side of the trailer for a suitcase solar panel if I was not getting any other solar package.

Several of us have gone down this path.  Some have used two each 100 watt solar suit cases.  Some, like myself, have gone the single 200 watt unit.  I sure wished I had listened and use the two smaller ones.  Just a hint my friends.....

Curious, why 2 x 100W as apposed to 1 x 200W?

100 w panels we have are relatively light and smaller and easier to handle.  I can easily lift one with one hand. (Makes chasing the sun around a lot easier...)

Spot on SeaDawg.

My primary reason is that I have more options to transport two smaller ones than one larger one.

Either way,  I prefer not to have stuff on the roof of our Ollie as we put a lot of miles on her each summer.  Tucked away under my F-150 Retrax bed cover it causes no wind resistance.

The in-hull anchor plates were still there, but since they're now using a completely different panel, the plates are in the wrong spots. The old panels are too short to easily use them where the old mounts were installed.

Correct, the plates are now spaced to fit the 2 x 200w Newpowa solar panels.

I had called Oliver service after hearing such a noise.  I never heard back from them and forgot about it until I read this.

I was hearing the "creaks and pops".  I just lubed the 12 zerks.

Thanks so much

@HDRider FWIW there are 16 zerks on my 2022 #1047. There are two on each side where suspension attaches to frame that are easy to miss.

There are two more Zerks fittings in the center EZ-Flex mount on the frame - one facing fore, one aft, here's a couple pix to orient your perspective:

Also not the use of zerk caps.  Very good way to keep junk out of the grease fittings.

Also, you want to clean up all the excess grease after every lube job. You can see in the pics above how grease left there previously collects more dirt. In the pic below, clean Zerk caps were fitted on clean Zerks.

@Geronimo John thanks for the reminder, I need to put my zerk caps on.

I found that some covers just wouldn't go on despite cleaning the area.  Most did go on.  Have you had that problem?

Really cool idea of replacing your zerks with ones that all point towards you in the middle.  Will make greasing easier and faster too.  Are those 45 degree zerks?
