This is Lost Dutchman State Park outside of Phoenix this past January. It’s a big park and very scenic. There were a number of Olivers there in January, including the crazy Oliver owners in the middle picture.

Hey, folks. Just a quick tip about a situation I ran into this week. Symptoms were: - no working AC power outlets and oven down when disconnected from shore power despite the inverter LED being green when enabled - working AC power when connected to shore power - no error codes on the inverter LED in the attic (status "E 0") I checked the GFCI in the dinette area, toggled all of the breakers in the fuse box under the dinette, and checked the fuses + fuse block with multimeter, and then called Oliver Service. Solution: It turns out the inverter (street side, under the bed, and mounted against the wall of the walkway) has a built-in GFCI which had tripped. Simple matter of resetting it. I read through the manuals and never noticed any mention of this GFCI but its possible I overlooked it in my haste. Big thanks to Jason @ Oliver Service for his help!

DJM - I'm presently looking at the 2019 Tow Ratings in the 2019 Good Sam Guide To Towing. Obviously this may or may not apply specifically to your 2016 Grand Cherokee but I suspect the numbers are close (see your Owner's Manual). For the 4 wheel drive model with the 5.7 liter V-8 the tow limit is 7,200 pounds. So, it appears that you will be OK on that front unless you put way too much "stuff" in your Ollie. However, the number that "gets" most of us on the decision to use a weight distribution hitch(WDH) (or not) is the hitch weight. This Good Sam towing guide does not address this point and it is this hitch weight that causes most users of 1/2 ton trucks and similar SUV's to have to use a WDH. In the case of Ford a WDH is required if the hitch weight is over 500 pounds even though my F-150 has a tow rating of over 12,000 pounds. Besides the legal and/or liability issues relating to using or not using a WDH one should also consider the other benefits of WDH usage. These include the potential for a more consistent and level ride, reduced "Porpoising" (the bouncing of the tow vehicle and trailer usually caused by interstate expansion joints), and as an additional safety measure in the event of emergency driving situations. We have noticed that when the bathroom vent is on, and the door is closed, the vent struggles to get air, unless the window is open. It creates what amounts to negative pressure in the bathroom. You can open the bathroom door and hear the fan relax. By the same thinking, or reverse scenario, when the heat is on, it must create a positive pressure in the bathroom. As the air will take the path of least resistance, it will flow out the two vents in the main cabin (if those vents are open), and that is where the thermostat is too, the bathroom will stay noticeably cooler. This is especially true if the door is closed. So, what we did, is cut a 3 1/2" hole up high in the wall between the two rooms. We cut it up high so no shower water should show up there. Without the furnace running there was no airflow through the hole. When the furnace came on, the airflow through there would almost blow the candle flame out. We put an adjustable SS vent cover over the hole in both sides so the the airflow could be restricted from either side, if ever needed. It will let the airflow coming into the bathroom have a path back to the furnace return vent. The easy way of course is to leave the bathroom door open, but that is an inconvenience when we are sitting at the dinette. There are a number of owners towing with an SUV. The ones with the Audi Q7 and VW Touareg tow without the Andersen because the manufacturer says don’t use a WDH. There are also half ton truck owners towing without the Andersen. I would check to see how your suspension handles the tongue weight when you set the trailer on your hitch. The Andersen can correct any excess dip you may have. Airbags work too. I’ve not towed without the Andersen. I got it for my first truck, a Tacoma, then just kept using it on my two Rams. Mike

We keep ours right above the sink, in two stacks - one with the two pans we use the most and then the rest in their bag. We got the nonstick version. I usually prefer the regular since the nonstick stuff eventually wears out, but as little as we’re able to travel now, they don’t get much use.

Setting the fan to auto fixed this issue for us. Good luck

And, uv light (sunshine) is the great sanitizer. Open air is very healthy. Just another reason I love camping. With or without corina virus. My pioneer relatives lived mostly into their 90s, without benefit of modern medicine. Country life is good, or , at least, so said my grandfather. He was probably right. Sherry

Horse Stall Mats from Tractor Supply, I use these for everything, pickup bed mats, rear mats on my UTV, mat on one of my steel work bench for materials you don't want damaged, a mat to stand on for working comfort in the shop, etc. These are tough mats and I cut them with a box knife, it will take several cuts to complete the cut. They do come in two sizes and thickness, one is around $20 and the other is around $40, buy on sale if you can and they are heavy, so get help when moving. I have several cutoff pieces I use on different projects. trainman

I am going to get a piece of horse stall mat at a Tractor Supply type store. I think some copper nails will attach to the top of the PT blocks. A few others the size of short PT boards will just lay loose. They should store almost anywhere. A couple pieces of scrap might just replace the expensive pads? Would just have to remember to bend over to pick up and place.

We could not go to the Lake Guntersville rally because we had a family gathering at Jalama Beach county park campground, west of Santa Barbara, CA. This is a really nice campground, right on the ocean. We had our Oliver, my sister had her Casita, and other family members rented cabins. On our way home we stayed in Snow Canyon State Park, near St. George, UT. A really fabulous park.
