  2. Plans change and we can’t get a refund. We have 2 ferry tickets to Dry Totugas NP that are available only for Nov 27, 2024. Up to one year out ( Value is $660.00 for 2) https://www.drytortugas.com/ We won’t be back to Florida in the next year so we can only change owners and give away or sell. They can be reassigned to another name pair but not date changed so we are stuck holding $660 Tix we can’t use as we’re returning home by that day. If you are in Key West on that day or up to 1 year out, and you can use them, PM us to transfer the tix. . Craig & Rose Hull 505

  3. My wife Jane (Hospice nurse) and I (former Bosch employee) retired earlier this year and after a cross country trip to California from home base in Chicago by car, decided we needed to investigate trailers. We had followed Oliver for a year or two, and looked at fiberglass truck bed campers prior to purchasing this Elite2. Very happy with our decision - but making many rookie mistakes as we weren’t camper prior. So far, only correctable mistakes and a few serious close calls! We head to Hohenwald tomorrow for a factory tour. Currently enjoying Green River Lake State Park in Campbellsville, KY ( beautiful park)! hope to meet you all in our coming travels! 4. Ah, yes, the Oliver Motorhome. They never sold well, possibly due to the lack of a windshield. You don't see them very often.

  5. Bill -- I was severely distracted when you posted this, and missed it. It's nice to see where others go for fishing. This year I did manage to spend some time in WY but it was late. I will post photos eventually. Next year, I plan to spend a lot more time there, and hopefully see more of MT and visit ID for the first time. Love the fishing report!

  6. That's good news. Long showers (defining long as over a few gallons/minutes) will fill the grey tank quickly. And, it will "think" it's full even before it is, if out of level. Keep us posted, as you continue your travels. The seelevel gages also are notorious for reporting incorrect values, if out of level . When we travel, we work strictly from the tank. When fresh water is pretty empty, grey is likely pretty full.

  8. Welcome @Richard Walker it’s always good to take a deep dive into Oliver University and your new owners manual. Oliver has also gone to great lengths to provide amazing owner support with this invaluable information. The videos Oliver has produced are extremely helpful. Naturally ask questions here on the forum we are more than willing to help. Hope to meet you at the 2025 Oliver Rally! Safe Travels! Patriot🇺🇸

  12. As usual (19th year in a row), Twist spent two months in the western states enjoying the scenery while I enjoyed the fishing. This year I basically did a repeat of the past few years by starting the fishing west of Buffalo, Wyoming and exiting via Dubois, Wyoming. Stops (in towns) on the way included Ten Sleep, Worland, Meeteetse, Cody, Cooke City, Moran Junction, and Dubois. Rivers and Creeks included Ten Sleep Creek, Wood River, Greybull River, North Fork of Shoshone River, Elk Creek, Clear Creek, Clark's Fork of the Yellowstone, Beartooth Creek, Hoodoo Creek, Dead Indian Creek, Cantrell Creek, Gros Ventre River, Fish Creek, Torrey Creek, Horse Creek, Frontier Creek, etc. Trout landed ranged from 8 inches to 18 inches and were brooks, rainbows, brown, cut-bows and cut throat. Early in the trip at about 5:20am the Ollie started rocking! Checking to make sure I was alone I peeked outside thinking I might see a grizzly bear. Yes, the fur was black but it was only a couple of cows scratching their faces on the bumper. Here are a few pics from the trip. Bill

  13. Neighbors next door to us recently put their house up for sale and the Agent obviously used AI to spruce up their recently flooded home and property for the MLS pics. I guess the AI never saw an Oliver before.. 😂

  15. I just checked with the Ferry and dates can be changed to any date sithin a year of Nov 27 by the new ticket holder if Nov 27 doesn’t work. The change requires the Name , email and phone for the new ticket holder. Hoping someone is going to be able to use these tix.

  16. Thats a nice offer. Those reservations are sold out. I called friends in Minnesota, but they won't be in the keys that week, though on their way south. They, and I, thank you for posting.

  19. I second the partially open valve. We did that once too!

  20. Is your shower drain valve fully opened? Many of us have experienced "wet feet" when we forgot to open, or fully open, the shower drain valve.

  21. While traveling from Florida to Huntsville, AL. last Thursday I spotted an Ollie in a campground along US Hwy 231, maybe south of Troy, AL. I didn’t have time to stop then but thought maybe on the way home. Of course I promptly forgot about it until I drove by again yesterday and noticed the door was open. So I turned around at the first opportunity and stopped to say hello. The owners of LE2 #462 are Mike and Elaine from Oregon and we had a pleasant but short visit. We discussed an 120V AC issue they were having with their refrigerator and I was able to show them the location of the access panel to the AC plug and I’m sure they have it fixed by now. It’s always a good day when you have an unexpected visit with fellow OTTO’s! Mossey

  22. Just returned home from the Hungry Mother SP VA fiberglass rally. There were three Ollie's in attendance, too. Fellowship and Potluck dinner were great!

  23. Don't hesitate to walk up to people, knock on doors, etc. That will get you into all the events you can handle. Remember, these are folks just like you and we all love our Ollies. Bill

  24. We’re sort of finishing up our late summer/fall four month western trip. We’re at Lost Dutchman State Park enjoying the 110 degree weather! There’s another Oliver here as well but we haven’t seen the owners yet. While on this trip we’ve seen Olivers at our Monument Valley campground and at our Grand Canyon south rim campground but unfortunately never were able to make contact with either one. We also met up with a fairly new Oliver owner while we were at Dead Horse Ranch State Park in Cottonwood and had a very enjoyable day with them. Not too many years ago we could be on one of our four month trips and never see another Oliver trailer. Now we see at least one on every trip. Great to see more Olivers on the road. Looking forward to meeting a bunch more in Texas in a couple of weeks. Safe travels everyone!

  26. Revitalizing this thread with just a few more questions! Yes, here I am again..... Charger converter is 45A. All new wire will be 4awg. Still considering either the 1, 300amp Epoch or 2, 100amp Battle Borns.... My new block plan including the solar details. 1. Should I replace the OEM 30A breaker between the SCC and the battery with an 30A anl fuse? If I keep the breaker, how would you orient the aux/battery connections? 2. Given these new Lithium batteries have their own EMS, do I no longer need the OEM temp. sensor wire between battery and SCC? It's easy to keep but don't want to create data conflicts. 3. Where to put a battery disconnect switch? Between the battery and the shunt? Assuming the negative lead is the correct one to switch. Is this step even necessary? Any other comments very much appreciated. 🙏 Also included for your viewing pleasure is a pic of one of my leads off the battery. I sure hope Oliver has gotten a hold of better electricians. There are other crimps showing similar lack of attention. Any of you find similar crimps during your retrofits? Dave
