We talked to a young man working at the ice cream place across from the statue. He said on a slow day maybe 300 people take a picture of it. The power of one line in one song!3 points

Sounds like there are several good options - and - the failure of existing lights provides the opportunity to upgrade. Life is good(?)2 points

Hi all, I m looking at doing a trip with my daughter up in Canada, ideally on hiway 40 (Kananaskis Trail) in August. Does anyone here have experience up there? Can you get campsites or boondocks?1 point

I believe that the filter / screen utilizes an 'O' ring for a seal and it's on the low pressure / suction side of the pump.1 point

I have found the reason the Zamp panels were producing only 2 ah of charge. The detailer cleaned the panels and the cleaning improved the output. He told me that when he cleaned the top of the Oliver he followed up with a liberal coat of WAX. The wax did a good job of preventing the sun to do its job! After the first cleaning, I had him go over the panels with rubbing alcohol. The third cleaning was with vinegar and water. The regiment resulted in 225 watts of power and 12.2 current charge.. I have the Battle Borne 200 Ah batteries. The PV is controlled by the Victron MTTP 150|35. It is a mostly sunny day. That was a great call to review the History of charge. The data clearly indicates that there was little or no charge after I had the Oliver detailed and Solar waxed heavily!1 point

The statements jive okay. This question was originally about the virtual load setting, and it's morphed into why not more solar input. The solar charger data looks good for the 36 watt input. However, the question of why the input is not higher is a whole different discussion. There could be a number of reasons why: I'd first look at the "History" feature of the App, it will show the solar input over several days. If it was charging at more watts in periods of more sun, then that will give you a better idea if it's sun related. Cleaning the panels will always help, but not that significantly... unless they are really really dirty. Next I'd review the Solar Charger settings, particularly the battery type, as they can also impact the output. Also, whatever device you are reading the 40% SOC from, I'd review those setting too. You might actually be at a higher percent charge and the charger is ramping down the output. There are probably some charging curves out there to see how it ramps down, and that can provide clues. Let us know what you find and we will see where it leads to from there! Cheers! Geoff1 point

You can try setting your valves to the normal position, turn your pump on, then turn the valve circled in the picture below 'on' briefly. You will hear water rushing into your fresh tank. What this does is pump water from your fresh tank back into your fresh tank. This will purge the air out of the pump and associated components. This has happened to me many times after traveling and arriving at a site, somehow air gets into the system.1 point

Thank you! We will be crossing into Canada in a few days. We have her vax papers but didn’t know about the form. Cheers! Geoff1 point

For all pets owners wanting to travel to Canada and back, there are new laws. You will need to visit the Canada and US Rules. You must have well documented vaccine updates signed by your Vet. Prior (24 hrs) to re-entry into the US you must upload a special document. The consequences of not following these new laws will find your pet must remain in Canada for up to 6 weeks. This has been evolving over the past 2+ years.1 point

Someone may need to start a thread for all the owners to post their Winslow pics, @HDRider --- what'ya think?1 point

JD, I was looking at these units too. The new ones can have both AC and DC connected at the same time. It automatically prioritizes to AC when the AC is energized, regardless if connected to DC. I personally wouldn't connect it to the DC to DC charger, unless it was a really convenient place to connect the circuit. I'd just run a dedicated fused wire from the battery via a relay that is mounted close to the battery. From there it would be easy to trigger the relay from an ignition-on circuit or a manual switch inside the cab. If your truck has an up-fitter option, you can program the switch to work only with ignition on. Cheers! Geoff1 point

Hi Toni! Yes, it is great-as you know. We keep it in Fort Collins in the winter. We are traveling in Europe right now, but pick it up in early August and home base it in Jackson until early November. We are considering a West Coast trip sometime this winter - from San Diego to at least Oregon. Thanks for re connecting!1 point

Thanks - I’ll go after it! I did this route out of Glacier National Park many years ago and it was exceptional.1 point

Hi George, The Virtual load is only used if you don't have an actual load on the solar charger. However you have an actual load, which is the battery. So the State is correctly set to OFF. All your other data looks good, you are happily charging away in bulk charge. Cheers! Geoff1 point

Got this mounted today and a temporarily wired to the tow vehicle 12VDC system. I will work a more creative power solution, more like what Ron had done with extra battery and solar, later this summer. I'm letting it sit flat again overnight and will fire it up tomorrow, fill it up with 2-3 gallons of water bottles for testing. I want to measure voltage loss on the TV batteries per hour and speed of cooling. I should move one of our Ruuvi sensors inside to record fridge temps.1 point

We had the exact same problem after cleaning our fresh water tank and using it the first time. We had to clean the filter multiple times before the water pressure to the faucets was back to normal. Thanks so much for the advice.1 point

I'm not sure if this will help as I don't know if a 2017 trailer was wired the same way as my 2020 trailer. I disconnected my charge wire when I upgraded to lithium batteries a few months ago. Mine did not have a bus bar. I couldn't find anything under the seats or bed. Inside the bathroom access panel under the sink I found that my 7-pin cable entered a standard galvanized steel junction box containing all of the connectors. Each was connected with a Wago lever connector and then wrapped with electrical tape to safeguard the lever coming undone from vibration. I just found the black charging wire, unwrapped the tape and lifted the lever on the connector to pull the wire. I capped it, taped it and then put everything else back together. Oliver's electrical connection design was less than elegant but it made for an easy disconnect once I found the junction box.1 point

These are the lights we replaced the lights over the sink and stove. It has a on/off button in the center, blue night light and dimmable light. Box of 4 so I have 2 more if the others fail. We did have a problem with the one over the dinette. I removed the dome, and re-alligned the spring, and we have had no further issues. The key is just a light touch, not pushing on the dome.1 point

The unimaginable has once again, tragically, become a reality. A large number of those lost were children. I cannot imagine the grief of their surviving families. Here's how you can help, at least monetarily. Click on any one of the links. They all need your support. The needs are immediate, but I can tell you from experience, the needs will be long, for many organizations. If you feel you can afford it, click on a monthly donation. Or, just remember to contribute from time to time. My first is always Salvation Army. They were first on site, according to my mom, when our home was destroyed by a tornado when I was a few years old. And, they do so much good, in so many ways, in every community they serve. If you're still working, some generous companies do matching funds. Sometimes, for retirees, too. You can help, outside of Texas, by giving blood, as well. May God wrap his arms around the survivors, and give them solace, and peace.. Here's where you can donate to help Central Texas flood recovery - CBS Texas https://share.google/mLDD7AfFVtWQ5fajI1 point

Yesterday (June 28, 2025) I was heading West on Interstate 40 and saw a silver pickup with a silver topper towing an Elite II. They were headed East just East of exit 392. Hopefully they were not too delayed by the (ongoing) construction through the Gorge. Bill1 point

This map is valuable in showing type and location of recreation across Arizona. E.g.Arizona Land Trust, BLM are shown as well as whether camping is allowed. This map went out of print for a few years but I found a new version recently at a Arizona Tourist Information site. It is a free brochure I highly recommend carrying one of these if you enjoy boondocking in AZ1 point

@CRM, if your are experiencing low water pressure when NOT connected to city water, but using the water pump to draw from the fresh tank, then check the filter on the input to the water pump. I recently was investigating an issue where the pump would not draw water from the fresh tank. Upon checking the filter at the input to the pump, I found it clogged with a slimy residue (see attached photo. I removed the fine wire mesh from the filter housing and washed both with Dawn dish detergent. Water flow is much improved with a clean filter.1 point
