  1. An occasional good cleaning and a shot of WD-40 will make these things last a long time. Pay particular attention to the little "ball" in one end and the "push button" in the other and also give the holes in the bumper a little shot of lube (WD-40 or something similar) from time to time. Bill p.s. you might also take a look in Tractor Supply if that is easier - they used to carry these pins.

  3. If you go with TST the install process is simple. It does not interfere with your TV system as it uses its own monitor (display). You simply put a battery in each sensor, screw the sensor on to the tire stem, then configure the sensors on the monitor (following the instructions). Done. We’ve had ours for 9 years with no problems. I’m sure the other TPMS’s are similar. Mike

  4. TPMS sensors are user installable if you purchase the sensors that screw onto the valve stem. Internal (to the tire) sensors require professional installation. You will also need professional installation if you need to replace rubber valve stems with metal. While some have good results without switching the stems, my TST flow-thru sensors require metal stems (per the TST instructions). After a shop replaced my rubber valve stems with metal stems, I installed and calibrated the sensors following the instructions.

  5. We counted 45 Olivers camped this morning. What follows are pictures of each campsite, as well as a video showing folks at the Monday meet & greet. We'll start with the video, then post a few pictures at a time. Others, please post your pictures too. Monday Meet & Greet.MOV

  6. I had a zerk that needed replacement last year. Luckily for me, an extremely helpful hardware store guy (way up in the mountains in Colorado last year) determined that I have (at least) TWO DIFFERENT zerk thread sizes: one was metric and one was not. He sold me some 'spares' of each of those, AND tools for the metric.

  7. Dubbed "The Flying Sea Turtle" by my wonderful wife in summer of 2016. By next Summers camping season we will have had 10 years with her. Truly a unique Oliver for both the Logo... (many people remember the Turtle) and the unique stripes that no other Oliver has. They were a test pilot by Oliver but they decided to stay with the original "swoosh" design. I have to say I am still very proud to own her. See you on the road! Scotty

  8. Assume that you realize that this is a relatively expensive option versus simply tapping new threads and replacing the "cheap" zerks?

  9. I second Ronbrink's endorsement of the LockNLube coupler for your grease gun. I must grease lots of zerks on my Kubota tractor, so have become a LockNLube coupler fan. I also recommend LockNLube's zerk caps. They have worked well on my tractor to keep dirt out of the zerks, so I have also installed them on the zerks on my Elite II. They are overpriced at $11 for what they are, but they work. I have no financial interest in LockNLube, just positive experience with these two products. https://www.amazon.com/LockNLube-Grease-Fitting-Count-Yellow/dp/B0779K66DW/ref=sr_1_1_pp?dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.T8hZ8VHh7n8q0Y30ncw1Zvsvok5f6vxLfm-VFmTE4o9O5jCMC0xZl_8Qis_WTuJx0T23YcDDPnRHvDiYoH8C9l0hDEQcd_u_ciE36NWaysFxgMqQa5lvjJjPQz52Q-v0amx0f3bbIlAln7jMclOsI57EAMXdty7ZBK_jpW4S_BMU5glY7lQwHlt_P-Ro-gGdnON8stpS6I21R2IHz41-VJZuRFrkf2HY_L1p9vYcEeb2wYpNkXEUEJTXPlcQi1UG-GK4sqUYFBtfzKmV24VB4I2On4pTDUB94-w1_dl6aEQ.jnjsiornpd_gBb-D-BGini1OeYpO1kK6xBhHgEc6HcE&dib_tag=se&hvadid=695444684338&hvdev=c&hvexpln=67&hvlocphy=9029558&hvnetw=g&hvocijid=17929369996106615123--&hvqmt=e&hvrand=17929369996106615123&hvtargid=kwd-488087789682&hydadcr=7441_13183977&keywords=lock%2Bn%2Blube%2Bgrease%2Bfitting%2Bcaps&mcid=bf8e3ce829e9318caf67405886b6af15&qid=1761057611&sr=8-1&th=1

  10. There’s a wide range of “below freezing”. If it’s only down to the high 20s we still rely on our electric space heater (Vornado). I can turn it so that some of the heat is directed into the vent under the bed with the water pump, water tank, etc. We’ve never had anything freeze. I figure if the outer hull is in 27 degree weather and the inner hull is in 68 degree inside weather then between the hulls will be something in between. Below mid 20s we do use the furnace. That’s not been very often since we tend not to camp in very cold weather. Mike

  11. Search the OTT Forum for 'TPMS' to get these suggestions and so many more. 🤣 This subject has been covered 10x! A small few of us, would not mount a sending device on a tire fill valve, there are issues! Given this thought, you may want to consider a professional installation, e.g. consider this thread, just started a few days ago... https://olivertraveltrailers.com/forums/topic/11078-dill-bluetooth-tpms/

  13. We've used the TST system for many (10+) years. We replaced the stock rubber valve stems with steel ones first. (These fit our 2022, YMMV: https://www.oreillyauto.com/detail/c/xtra-seal/tire---wheel/tire-valves---caps/tire-valves---cores/aede909cf322/xtra-seal-bolt-in-valve-fits-rim-hole-diameter-5-8-inch/xts0/17428 ) Definitely get a TPMS, regardless of brand.

  14. There are a ton of different brands - just type in "TPMS" on Amazon. Also, do the same on YouTube to view many different brands as tested by "professionals". Just about all of these do the same thing while having slightly different monitors. I would tend to stay away from the "cheaper" brands and would also question what am I getting for my extra money on the more expensive brands. Simply put - this is NOT new tech anymore other than those that are starting to integrate the trailer's TPMS with that of the tow vehicle. Bill

  15. We have used this system for several years and are very happy with it. I cannot imagine towing our Oliver without it. https://www.amazon.com/TST-507-TPMS-Cap-Sensors

  16. I have not. I just drain it completely. The guy who developed it says the additive prevents growth of harmful critters. So far in almost a year I haven't had any negative effects. I have used it on four separate trips. I will be using it next week for the first time since early summer, so if I don't survive, I'll let you know. 🤣 Interestingly enough, I got our filter out to pack yesterday, and the bottom of the Fit RV filter had stuff growing on it. So into the trash it went, and a 4-pack of standard 2.5X10 filter elements arrived today for about half the price of the FitRV version. So much for the additional growth inhibitor...
