  1. Nice - I like it - I thought about doing a wrap - suggested to me by a friend - it was however- anathema. Not sure how much it would cost me to completely wrap it in - an aluminum sheen, a silver tint - - held together with well spaced painted on rows of loose rivets, with a dent here and there. I could then call it " Abomination."

  3. Nope, not on payroll. Do like to mention a small business, off the main road, that does a fantastic job. Just nice to see a business that can make an artist idea and design come to life.

  4. You might try disconnecting the solar for a bit just to see what the batteries settle in at. Otherwise, I'm glad to see that the Zamp controller is indeed providing a decent voltage. Back to the previous discussion, I found this video today that gives a nice primer on battery to battery chargers, and also a good look at the Victron Orion B2B unit. You guys know that I'm a sucker for Victron gear. $220 is the best price I can find for the 30 amp version. They also make an 18 amp model for $165.

  5. I think our favorite campsite of 2020 is the one we’re sitting in right now on Sanibel Island hanging out in our brand spanking new Oliver....

  6. In the above thread, the source is linked to: https://8020.net/3075.html The table mount is not something I can use but, I remember the 8020 site because I never knew that place existed! D

  7. I use a simple inline Tee connector with a 12ft hose that I pass through the acess hole when in use. Its a direct connection to the propane tank no need to modify grills etc with pressure regulators . Works well for us, I don’t feel the need to have a hookup in the rear. The 12ft hose goes a long way, Maybe $60.00 at most.

  8. I use mine every time we camp. I have a Weber Q1000 and removed the regulator so that all I have to do is plug into the quick connect and start grilling. We’ve been doing this for 5 years. BTW, I do clean my Weber after each camping trip and it still looks almost new and has performed well over the years. Mike

  9. The graphics came out great and placing the Alwives in the bathroom is a cool idea!! I like how you added them around the Ollie. I have to admit we might be slightly partial to the Oliver color stripes/graphics. I think that was a terrific choice!!! Hope you're enjoying the maiden voyage. It was a cloudy 42 degrees here today. Keep sending warm weather pictures. I know Bob Hunt knows of a cool antique firearms dealer store in Naples. Stay safe!

  10. I installed the Lagun table following Overland's instructions. I did use some aluminum backing plates. We had our table made buy a local craftsman with slightly narrower dimensions. We can fold everything up and put it in our front closet easily. We are very happy with this and we can leave the table up and position it to allow access to the twin beads, basement, and overhead cabinets. Overland's plan was really terrific. We have the basement door too. Just a thought---- You might want to consider Oveland's method for your dining and game table and I have seen some folks have added a fold down counter top extension to the right of the cook top for extra prep area. There are treads on the countertop extension on this forum somewhere. Good luck please share pictures of what you do. Hint ---- by not centering the Lagun bracket in the table you can gain significant flexibility in how you deploy the table. Ours is mounted closer to a corner of the center section. Done through trial end error using a cardboard mock up. It is a fun project.

  11. For those not familiar with the camper Bshaffer is talking about - it is one of the few that were actually delivered by the factory in a color other than white - hers is RED. Certainly it is a wonder Oliver to take a look at if you ever see her out on the road or at a rally. Perhaps Seadawg will chime in here - if not then I'd suggest a PM to her. I know that she has removed her microwave and (perhaps) remembers the process. Good luck. Bill

  12. I'm not the most qualified to answer but can provide some pertinent advise. First, regarding the number of plugins, the refrigerator should have it's own circuit and outlet somewhere behind and below the sink. You can verify this by checking your AC electrical panel for a separate circuit breaker labeled as such. Access for the hold down appears to only be possible through the vent hole with that plate removed. First protect the plate with a couple layers of masking tape. Then, using light pressure so as not to spin the rivets, drill just through the rivet heads with a 1/8" bit. If necessary, you should then be able to pop the head off using a small screwdriver and punch out the remaining sections of rivet. The life of this microwave may have been shortened due to less than adequate venting for heat. In choosing a replacement select one designed to be builtin with appropriate trim. Don't try to mimic the original installation purely for esthetic reasons. Installation may require enlarging the opening so research the replacement size specifications and installation instructions carefully before purchasing. Hopefully one of the old dogs have been through the procedure already and will chime in.

  13. The Buffalo River is very close and the fishing there can be OK if you are willing to do a bit of walking between runs. This campground has a pit toilet (surprisingly clean in that it is not maintained by the Forest Service - therefore you have to bring your own TP) and several hiking trails right out of camp. While there is a nice view from the meadow at the western side of the camp, the better views are from Buffalo Valley Road about a mile to the west from the campsite. Potable water and trash bins are available in the Turpin Meadows campground - located about 9/10 of a mile east of the campsite. But, the really nice thing is that this campsite is free. However, several years ago, there was a "resident" griz that came into this camp every so often - there are still bear boxes in the campground for that reason. I could not get a cell signal from camp - if you travel back down to route 191/89 and turn south (left) there is a commercial campground/gas station/store on the right where you can get WiFi and/or a strong cell signal. For a fee you can also dump tanks here while you look at a wonderful view of the Tetons. Bill

  15. I use a Anderson WDH for legal reasons, personally I think the 1500 Ram can handle an Oliver Elite II, but I'm not going to take a chance in todays courts that might prove me wrong without the Anderson putting me within the legal limits of the truck manufactures towing limits. The single axle Oliver should be ok without the Anderson WDH. trainman

  16. I agree - the Webber is one of my most used accessories - I now line it with HD aluminum foil - makes clean up very easy - I reline only when it gets pretty - cruddy. The dual propane ports - second only to the solar - on options. RB

  18. I'd like to hear some input from @LiFeBlueBatteryon this but from your description, it seems to me as thought the ZAMP controller is overcharging a bit or maybe not responding fast enough.

  19. It is so awesome that Oliver owners create there own style of ownership unlike the big mfg, out there. Nice work.

  21. I love the LP quick connect!!. We use it for our Camp Chef stove, our Weber BBQ, and for our Outland firebowl. We have a couple of 10-foot extension hoses, so we can easily place these devices at a desired location within the campsite. We have two 30-lb LP tanks, so we have never run out on a trip. We also have a Honda EU2000i generator modified for propane, so that we do not need to carry gasoline. It also runs of the LP quick connects. Decide on the quick connect option based on your anticipated camping needs.

  22. That's why boaters use port and starboard. Doesn't matter which way the boat faces, it's the same designation. Port on the Ollie is streetside. Starboard is curbside. On a boat, facing forward, starboard is to the right, port is to the left. On a trailer, facing the tongue, streetwise is on the left, curbside is on the right. Think about going down the highway... The door is curbside/starboard. What I use to teach young sailors is, port and left are the same number of letters. Right and starboard are longer words. And, with intracoastal signage, home is New Jersey. Red, to the right, returning from sea. But, at least if you confuse things in an Ollie, you won't likely run aground, or worse. It is, after all, kind of a boat on wheels. 😅 I probably added more info than you need. I apologize.

  23. Port and Starboard is a lot easier or even left and right. Either applies universally.🤙
