  1. Our older Hull # 050 does not have the pressure regulators. It does have the back flow preventers in exactly the same places you show in your picture. For the earliest Hulls (say below 300) an owner would need to examine their unit to verify whether they have both or maybe nothing in that section of the rear basement. At that point in construction they were just kind of making it up as they went and there's not a whole lot of consistency. I would expect the latest models have only the back flow preventers but I can't guarantee you where they would be.
  2. Your usable amp hours of 368 would be half that amount, 184ah. You should never run LA batteries below 50%. It will significantly shorten their life. Lithium's, on the other hand, can be take down to 0% (best practice is 10%) without harm. Lithium's biggest shortcoming is that you should not try to charge them if the ambient temp in the battery box is below 32 degrees F. My advice would be to buy the biggest LiFePO4 battery you can afford.
  3. I don't think you can have over 225 of usable amp hours in a lead acid battery setup in an Elite II. It's usually about 200ah. Do you have 6v or 12v batteries.
  4. Do you want to try this after leaving Quartzsite in February, weather permitting?
  5. Yes, that will upgrade the AGM's to Lithium. There are some other considerations, however. You will have to change about a dozen of the settings on the IPN-Pro. If you've never done this before, it can be daunting. It is not intuitive, it's relatively complicated and you WILL mess up, more than once before it's done. Don't bother calling Oliver, they have no idea how to do it, never did, never will. I will be happy to assist you if you go this route.
  6. The sales department never closed. Phil Andrews left over a year ago to take a job at Pella Windows. Jason Lindsey left because a different job opportunity arose. Anita has been there since late 2014 or early 2015. There is nobody still working there that was present when the first run of trailers were produced (2007-2009) nor during the earliest of the second run (2014 and 2015).
  7. As it has been all this year, the process of buying a trailer at this point in time is, shall we say...fluid. That is, it seems like it's always subject to changing. As I currently understand it, if you live in a state that has a dealer and you seek to buy a trailer, you will be directed to that dealer. If your resident state does not have a dealer, you have the option of going to a dealer of your choice, or you can contact Hohenwald and buy it there. None of Oliver's sales staff has been "let go". A few weeks ago, I was at the factory and I believe I 'overheard' they were looking to hire a new sales person. There has been some positional movements within the middle management staff and a new Service Manager is now in place, another Jason, last name Ballentine.
  8. We've been through Canada twice and on to Alaska once as well and an additional 125K miles or so. We've never had a drawer to come open. Of course, since our trailer is so old, we don't have the under the drawer slides, only the old time self closing side mounted slides. Apparently they work pretty well. I never cared for the idea of using a strap across the front of the drawers to keep them shut. You have to take it off to use any one of the three drawers it serves and then put it back on when you leave. Just an extra step, in my opinion it looks tacky and it would partially cover the beautiful Bocote wood drawer fronts that @Foy_Mirna Sperring made for us.
  9. I've never seen a setup using two shunts. I wouldn't know how that would even work.
  10. I usually don't. I'm thinking about turning in an hour or so.
  11. Oliver has used at least two different colors of gelcoat through the years. The current models are a much brighter white that the older ones.
  12. I heard it from a naked rat.
  13. And to all a good night…
  14. Lithium batteries do not have the risk of venting hydrogen gas like the LA batteries. They can safely be mounted anywhere and in any orientation.
  15. Very nice. I could never decide which way was the correct installation orientation.
  16. I always wondered if he ever figured out that weight and tension on that cable would inevitability pull that "simply caulked-in wall" down. I suppose that Updated Placard says it all. Just so everyone understands, the dividing wall between the coach and the bathroom/closet area in the Elite II is basically just held up with caulking around the edges.
  17. And they don’t ever see you!
  18. Followup... I took the truck and trailer to Hohenwald on 11-12-2024. I left the trailer to have some custom bodywork done. On 11-15-2024, I returned to Hohenwald in the truck to pick up the trailer. On the way up the Natchez Trace, driving no more than 55mph, I averaged 23.5mpg (about 160 miles). After the drive home, towing the trailer, the combined mpg (for both trips) was 19.5mpg.
  19. Thank you for following up on this. I consider this excellent service.
  20. This is most likely a good part of your problem. Raise the front of your trailer a few degrees. This makes the water in the gray tank run toward the rear of the trailer and the air bubble in the tank to move forward toward the front of the trailer. This is where your gray tank vent pipe is attached and it will facilitate easier entry of the water plus exit of the air.
  21. You have chosen wisely to go with the Weigh Safe Hitch sans dial. I went through three of these (with the dial) and they all failed. I finally bought a Curt 45902 for our Silverado HD trucks. I moved the Weigh Safe Hitch to Tali's Canyon Diesel. All of our other trailers are pulled with that truck anyway and I don't have to swap from the Oliver's 2-5/16" ball to the 2" ball for the smaller trailers. In my opinion, the use of a Weigh Safe Hitch with the dial in towing an Oliver is a WOT after the first use. Unless you are constantly loading the Oliver in different configurations, it's going to register approximately the same weight every time.
  22. You are correct. I changed @JWalmsley numbers.
  23. I re-plumbed the entire rear end of the trailer. I straightened out some lines and rerouted others so that they are neater than they were when our trailer was built in 2014. While I was at it, I put electric valves, that are controlled with a switch in the basement, in both the hot and cold lines going to the outdoor shower. I also ran an airline, that can be controlled with a valve in the basement, to these two valves so that the plumbing of the entire trailer can be blown free of water. The airlines also run to both wheelwells where an air fitting is available for airing up the tires. This entire air system can be supplied via the onboard compressor mounted in the back of the Silverado.
  24. If anyone is interested in trying the Bulldog shocks, AutoZone sells them for $53.99 online only and claims to have them in stock. They state they have a Limited Lifetime Warranty (you can read it at the link provided below.) The part number is HD1214-0656. This link should get you there.
