  1. I’m a former Airstreaam owner. Now Oliver LE11 owner, wish I found Oliver before the airstream. Good choice. I’m much happier as a Oliver owner
  2. Plastic Battery boxes without the covers might work or not. Not sure if there would be enough wiggle room with the 4 Agms which seem fairly tight already in the battery box. Maybe cut them up in sections to just protect the out side areas.
  3. I use a simple inline Tee connector with a 12ft hose that I pass through the acess hole when in use. Its a direct connection to the propane tank no need to modify grills etc with pressure regulators . Works well for us, I don’t feel the need to have a hookup in the rear. The 12ft hose goes a long way, Maybe $60.00 at most.
  4. It is so awesome that Oliver owners create there own style of ownership unlike the big mfg, out there. Nice work.
  5. Insurance is your best protection. If they want it they will take it. Sorry to be so blunt. All those gadgets are theft deterrent not theft prevention.
  6. A lot of great questions. I’m sure you’ll get your answers here. To sum it up simple. ( Experience) just like when you first learned to ride your bicycle you were wobbly at first then ride no hands or on one wheel . It will take time and practice, then you won’t give it a second thought. Always scary at first.
  7. The problem is these types of criminals are making big money on unsuspected people the more money they make the more sophisticated they become. There is a world of information out there on any one. Thanks in part to social media. Do a google search of your name, you’ll be surprised how much information is out there on you. And for $29.95 you can get a full history of yourself. Including bank records where you live and where you lived before phone numbers criminal history etc. These days you do need that little voice in your head. This doesn’t sound right.
  8. If its a short one day trip and its the only place to go a small garbage bag lined in the standard toilet works fine. Nasty but works.
  9. I would have to agree a great alternative for a cabin tiny home or even a garage, The 3” pipe would not look very attractive in the small Oliver bathroom. And the redirection of the urine to the grey tank? Sometimes you can get some serious odor from a grey tank vent, add urine to that no thanks.
  10. On the defense of the GM heavy duty diesel. 4x4 crew cab, I thought, and it may be true that it would be considered overkill until you own one. With all the added benefits that you don’t get with a 1/2 ton very comfortable ride quality, pay load and towing capacity excellent fuel mileage and don’t forget engine braking and high torque at low rpms no screaming truck up steep mountain climbs. I’m sure that it is some of the reason you are seeing Diesel engines now being put in the 1/2 ton trucks. As always this makes good thread discussion. But your own personal preference always wins. Ive had them both Ford F-150 and the 2500 HD. Chevy I preferred my Hd.
  11. I’m not a cold weather person. Has anyone considered installing the portable diesel heaters I’ve seen that are being put in vans and tear drop trailers? It seems that it could be a easy fit and install to use as a basement heater then dedicate the factory propane heater for main heat. Just a thought.
  12. It appears to be a big game changer. Should be able to run the Ollie Ac plus. Wondering what this option costs vs a portable generator. It might also give solar option a run for the money. Nice system
  13. Has anyone with a portable generator electric start installed a universal remote start. I have seen certain champion generators with remote start it would be a nice option too have.
  14. GAP you might ask Jason in service. The electric diagram shows the front camera. I’m not sure if it is also pre wired on the trailer like the rear.
  15. I installed the factory back up camera after delivery, It is pre wired on the 2019 Oliver. The switch panel has a blank spot you’ll need a switch, It is powered through the trailer it is not wired to the reverse lights, For the unit to work the main switch must be on before traveling this will power the camera. The monitor will power up were ever you plug into 12v source, the tv or inside the trailer. Easy install, in my opinion its the best setup. You can use the camera any time hooked up to tv or not, instead of having to put the tv in reverse only, you just need to remember to switch the unit on before heading out,
  16. I actually get more confused with the outside hot water heater switch is Off up or down?
  17. I have the Champion 3400 watt duel fuel. There is a big difference in the wattage output when on propane, but my running watts are still ok for the ac on propane. Although it does run much quieter on propane maybe because of less wattage output.
  18. You may need to point out which galley drawer you are referring to some are different sizes?
  19. When your tired of all the news and world problems. The best place too be.
  20. SeaDawg just to add to your post. I showed my Ollie many times in the last couple months most showing were between 1-4 hrs long and I enjoyed every minute of it, I have met the nicest people. I encouraged everyone to join the forum and ask questions. It worked for me when I started on the forum a great place to learn. A big thanks to all the Ollie owners and veteran Ollie owners
  21. I always found When I was living in the NewEngland states the best camping in CapeCod Mass, Maine, Vermont NewHampshire Conn, was just After Labor Day. Most people were back to work getting ready for the holidays, Kids were back in school, camp grounds were mostly empty getting ready to close for the season. The scenic views were fantastic. The weather would cooperate fairly well. Hopefully you would get an Indian summer. Although you would have a short window. A couple weeks at best before every thing changed.
  22. Living in Florida. I still do a limited winterization on my Ollie, if stored for several months. I’ll do the same for the summer months. I bypass the water heater and drain the tank, then sanitize the water system lines and tanks as best as possible. Completely drain the entire system. I do use air to blow out the lines to get out as much water as possible and leave the lines and tanks empty. My preference. I will use a small amount of Rv antifreeze in the sink traps to keep them from drying out and a small amount in the toilet bowl to keep the rubber seal lubed. Before the first trip, I’ll again fill sanitize and empty the system. Then fill the system to get all the air out of the lines and hot water tank. Ready to go. This has worked for me for many years. Any further thoughts? Thanks
  23. Mainiac. Great point on the weight sounds right 8lbs per gal. Heavy. Forgot to consider that. I hope the wheels are a strong point. I don’t plan on using it much. A just in case item.
  24. If anyone is interested. Amazon now has the Camco Rhino 21 gal waste tote for $100.99 was once at $150.00 then Went down to $120.00 I ordered one, I don’t think they will get much lower. Once it arrives I plan on doing some testing with clean water to determine how full it will get base on the black tank readings 70-80- 90% it shouldn’t max out the tote. Hopefully some room to spare for extra rinse. 18 gal black tank 21gal tote should work ok. Will see. I’ll post results anyone else use this tote?
