  1. Sweet! Very clean install, Mike!
  2. Welcome aboard, @abcsfam! Enjoy the OTT Family and we look forward to hearing about your Oliver adventures... Get out there and make some Ollie memories on the road! Cheers!
  3. Well worth it for the price-point!!!
  4. Funny you should mention that, Sherry... We found an LED attachment years ago for the FanTastic Fan for our AS. It was a perimeter style compatible with the standard 14"x14" ceiling penetration. We called it our "Disco Light"! HA! FYI: it was very similar to this one:
  5. Like @Geronimo John mentioned, good reminder to check these... Will do after we're back in pocket next week. Thanks!
  6. Woah! Looks like they're almost in the $200k range now - you could buy two OTTs and have one as a hangar queen for spare parts. Theoretically, making your TT last twice as long! HA!
  7. Congrats! How do y'all like the LED in there? Got some pix of your new mod? Just curious, Mike... Cheers!
  8. This is an easy to do mod for the OTT and could come in handy in a tight pinch as described. Made a "coaster wheel" for the tongue jack on our AS years ago to be able to maneuver it around inside our shop - the wheel would be too small to operate on anything except hard surfaces (tarmac, concrete, asphalt). But a larger diameter non-pneumatic wheel could be useful for such emergencies, IMO. Any pix available of the HQ19 tongue jack wheel set-up?
  9. Same here, Bill... This process seems to bring the Bulldog section of the hitch "back to life."
  10. We replaced (what is believed to be the original factory yellow Monroe 555001's) our shocks with new "black" 555001's last April - if originals; that would make them 6+ years old (we bought ours from the original owner - who didn't keep track of the mileage). As it turned out, 3 of the 4 shocks were bad... It's easy to test them - pick a side, and jack it up. Place a safety jack stand in place. Remove the lower nut, compress the shock and remove from the keeper. Release compression, a healthy shock will fully extend after releasing. 3 of ours would not extend after compressing. My sense is these shocks are good for only 3 or 4 years, obviously depending on mileage. It would be nice to learn if another manufacturer (Bilstein, perhaps?) has an upgrade replacement.... Cheers and "Ravel-On!"
  11. The double cooling fan for the fridge is officially high on our prioritized "To-Do" list for this summer's adventures. Thanks to all for posting the links and the process to modify the standard configuration for more efficient chill! Great info!
  12. We painted ours gloss white after trying silver duct tape... The white paint needs touching up occasionally, but no biggie... The white stripe really gets your line-up dead-nuts on using the back up camera!
  13. We ended up painting a white stripe on the Bulldog which is visible by the backup camera on the tailgate. We roll down the back aft window of the Tundra and D calls me on her mobile whilst attempting to line-up the hitch ball with the Bulldog (the mobile phone keeps the active "discussion" a bit more private especially when D's commands are accentuated with something like, "...I said turn to your other *&^%ing left!")
  14. We mounted a ratcheting towel holder above the kitchen sink - but it required drilling 2 holes. We also use a portable vertical towel holder that we can take outside when cooking or whatever... The vertical one keeps the towels handy and from blowing away.
  15. @dhaig: We totally second @Katjo's comment - thanks for posting your findings about the Beech Lanes!
  16. Same here...
  17. Exactly right, D's friend uses this same equation when traveling also... No biggie. HA!
  18. Great rock climbing!
  19. Water surge is too high at the USS Oriskany dive site - we've been notified by the dive shop that we've been cancelled. No biggie, we'll come back for it another time... Not traveling light, but a beautiful day here in P-cola otherwise!
  20. Good to know! Thanks, John!
  21. Just be aware that she has definitely been known as quite the elusive target...HA!
  22. @Rivernerd: This isn't the best ever photo of our rig after installing AirLift bags because of the uneven approach onto the apron of the "Cave" - but judging by the front/rear fender/wheel clearance, it looks very close to yours. This is running 25psi in the bags... As reported in an earlier thread, we noticed a reduction in the "porpoising" at slow speeds and an overall better ride (handling-wise) under tow. I'm thinking you'll be liking your airbag mod in the long run... Safe travels - cheers!
  23. Concur, 100%. Oliver-owned regional sales/service centers that have employees trained by the OTT Corporate/Factory Team that can deliver "remote Hohenwald-level" customer satisfaction would establish the brand nationally, IMO. We've had nothing but frustration and heartache over the years anytime we've had an RV dealership "touch" our previous travel trailers.
  24. Yeah, brother - I'm racking the brain-box figuring out how to hit that 10-12% window with the bikes hanging out the back end... Thoughts?
