Roger Posted Sunday at 02:47 PM Posted Sunday at 02:47 PM I find that I don't use the television and have been thinking about removing it altogether. I am wondering how many people have removed the television and travel without it. 2 2021 Elite II Twin Bed Hull #1023 - Kimba | 2025 Ford F-350 6.7 Diesel
Moderators Mike and Carol Posted Sunday at 03:04 PM Moderators Posted Sunday at 03:04 PM We rarely watch our TV. Removing it has been on my to-do list for a while. It should be easy to remove and easy to reinstall. Mike Texas Hill Country | 2016 Elite II #135 | 2020 Ram 2500 6.7L Cummins

I used mine once — in the first month of ownership, testing to see how to project something from my phone (it worked). I wonder about this too. Moderators topgun2 Posted Sunday at 05:03 PM Moderators Posted Sunday at 05:03 PM For the most part I don't really use the TV very often - But, when on my annual two month fly fishing trips sometimes I get back to the Ollie a bit tired - don't feel like reading but I know that I'll fall asleep if I start listening to an audio book. So, I bring along a number of DVD movies (very few times would I be in a location that has enough cell service to enable "streaming"). During the two months I'll watch maybe 4 or 5 movies. GraniteStaters Posted Sunday at 06:01 PM Posted Sunday at 06:01 PM We will go for months without using our television but it is nice to be able to watch a DVD if we get a several rainy days in a row. Steve Morris Posted Sunday at 07:23 PM Posted Sunday at 07:23 PM We've watched maybe a dozen YouTube videos since picking up Curiosity in March 2023, and have never watched any terrestrial TV or DVDs (I probably haven't watched a DVD in a decade! Why do I have a cabinet full of them. For that matter, I wonder where my home DVD player is...) So yea, I'd like to remove the television. But Deb wants to keep it, "just in case." 1 ----- Steve - Northern Ohio, USA Wandering around on occasion, always lost. 2021 Toyota Land Cruiser - 2023 Oliver Elite II Twin Hull #1360 “Curiosity” Facebook - Instagram Camped in Curiosity = Green —— Visited with Curiosity = Gray

Bill The few times when I have watched something while camping it has been on my tablet either streaming or downloaded before the trip. This doesn't limit me to sitting inside and I can watch/listen in front of the fire outside. Generally, I like to be able to listen to the night sounds in the background and enjoy the fire. Using ear buds keeps me from bothering anyone else if I'm not alone. 1 2021 Elite II Twin Bed Hull #1023 - Kimba | 2025 Ford F-350 6.7 Diesel
Patriot Posted Sunday at 11:36 PM Posted Sunday at 11:36 PM (edited) We rarely ever watch TV, but have a Roku stick if we decide to. Our SL Mini has allowed us to stream anything we deem worth watching. Not sure why I have not removed our TV yet. Steve-Gwenne Posted Monday at 12:51 PM Posted Monday at 12:51 PM We [I - Gwenne] removed ours over a year ago. We never watched & I disliked seeing it hanging in the corner. If I could remove it, anyone can, believe me!!! The back of the camper looks so nice & 'clean' now. Do not miss it all. 1 SGC & GRC Hull 224 [2017] 2017 GMC Sierra HD Crew Cab Diesel
Ronbrink Posted Monday at 02:13 PM Posted Monday at 02:13 PM (edited) Loaded up our Winegard Carryout portable satellite antenna in the past with intent to watch TV, but much too cumbersome and a hassle so currently listed on FB Marketplace; and rarely camp where cable TV is provided. However, recent experience with the Starlink Mini setup to stream quality movies well justifies keeping the stock Jensen! Last week at Lake Mineral Wells SP, we were able to stream during a heavy downpour with no interference or disruption in viewing. The TV is a keeper!
