jd1923 Posted August 15, 2023 Posted August 15, 2023 We received the replacement rubber from Pelland quickly and they sent an extra foot+ in length. Installed it last week, starting from the bottom, pushing hard to compress as much stock as possible. I used an automotive hose cutter tool. Cut it 1/4" longer at end and pushed in the extra length, so that when it shrinks, we should be good. The black does look so much better, as it is recessed, and the white frame is still prominent. Thanks all for your help! 🙂 7 Chris & John in Prescott, AZ | 2016 EII #113 | '01 Ram 2500 Cummins!
Harley Posted September 9, 2023 Posted September 9, 2023 Just an FYI. We purchased hull #49 about a year ago and have constant issues with water in our dinette window. I did everything possible that the forum suggested to no avail. After more investigation I took a little pick and ran on the inside of the window tracks and the pick kept grabbing on something. Turns out the drains were stamped but not completely out. After some luck I was able to get all 4 drains clear. Not sure if this was an issue with earlier models or if we just got lucky! 😂 We have not had an issue since, knock on wood. Oops that's fiberglass. 2 7
Moderators topgun2 Posted September 9, 2023 Moderators Posted September 9, 2023 Glad you found the source of the problem! Wayfinder Posted September 23, 2023 Author Posted September 23, 2023 I'm missing two black weep hole plugs, but I had completely forgot about them as I blocked them with white Gorilla duct tape, strong stuff. They blend in too well to remind me. I just now looked at them, after nearly 2.5 years outside, and they're still perfect. Maybe I should pull the other two plugs to match. I'm getting a bit of water inside with heavy rains. Or, like my walk-in door, maybe the frames are leaking. Since I pulled off the door fame off the hull and resealed, it's been perfect, no more leaks. Super easy job. I have a post somewhere in the forums. No vid yet, not sure how to organize content. 2 Chris 2016 Legacy Elite II o--o Hull #110 o--o Wayfinder o--o Twin Bed o--o 2020 RAM 1500 Limited 5.7L Augusta, Georgia

Any of these sort of plastic or vinyl bits that are on the outside of a vehicle can be treated with 303 which is an aerospace UV protector similar but better than armor-all. I'm thinking the black will never show the fungus stains. The slotted rubber piece on each side have a felt rubbing strip on either side of the channel and prevent the rubber piece from being extracted, unless you use quite a bit of force. The felt strips are an H shape and fit over the edge of the rubber strip. I'm not sure if the pictures are of any help. I quit as RoadKingsofGa did and am unable to fit the H shape of the felt strip back over it edges. So I quit at that point and finished cleaning as best I could. I don't think it matters much if I don't get the felt strip back perfectly as the window still slides smoothly and none of the weep holes are blocked. I'll search out the window experts at the rally. BTW, there are 2 of those felt strips, 1either side of the rubber strip. I did not attempt removal of the outboard strip. John John, have you figured out how to remove/install the side window window black tracks with the felt rubbing strips? My windows are the same as yours, I cleaned the rear window but like you and @RoadKingsofGA I couldn't remove the side window black tracks with the felt strips! 2023 Elite II, Hull# 1386, Lithium Platinum Package (640AH, 400W Roof Solar, 3000W Xantrex Inverter), added 400W Renogy Solar suitcase with Victron MPPT 100/30 CC, Truma water heater & AC TV: 2024 Silverado 2500HD 6.6L 10-Speed Allison

jd1923 Posted May 8 Posted May 8 (edited) All I do is when we return from camping trips, I pressure wash all the dirt off our trailer (and there’s so much dirt out here)! I hit the windows straight on with 3000 PSI water pressure and you see the dirty water come out of the drain holes first, followed by clean water. If I do not see this out of EVERY drain hole I would address this afterwards. As I am blasting the windows, Chris is inside with a towel to collect any sprayed water to the interior and there is generally little to none. And our Ollie can get very dirty! Ever since that trip, I've brought our Dewalt leaf blower which gets a lot of it off if blown as soon as we get to our campsite. Just got back from 12 days to NM and back. We hit snow then fog and rain and it's not quite as dirty this time but it is sure stuck on now. Bought gas for the pressure washer yesterday and today it's a beautiful sunny 72F day and I should be getting wet and dirty after lunch today~! 5 Chris & John in Prescott, AZ | 2016 EII #113 | '01 Ram 2500 Cummins!

TimD Posted Wednesday at 06:14 PM Posted Wednesday at 06:14 PM (edited) Here's an update on the LE2 sliding vent window tracks. I believe the correct Hehr part numbers are H109-602 (for the curved sections) and H109-599 for the straight pieces. These can be ordered from Pelland. There is an update for these vent tracks. The tracks having the wooly fuzz on each side vertical section were replaced by flexible track made of TPV. I do not have part number or supplier information for that, at least not at this time. The TPV track is flexible enough that a separate radius-ed part is not required. The sliding portions of the 5600 / 7600 windows are not designed to be removed (the only Hehr window sold up to this point which is designed this way), so replacing the vent tracks can be tricky. I understand the vent tracks were made by an (unidentified) outside supplier and not by Hehr. I further understand that the window model number is 5600. Hehr 7600 windows are identical to the 5600 with the exception of the outer trim, meaning 5600 and 7600 series parts should work on Ollies with 5600 series windows. Neither the 5600 series nor the 7600 series are shown among Lippert's current product offerings. The story is a lot longer than this, but the important information is above.
