You will get ALL the help you need here -- Lot's of expertise in every factor of Oliver ownership and modifications! In the 2 years of ownership of our hull, nearing 10-years-old, I have rewired most circuits in our Oliver, added LiFePO4 batteries, new inverter, solar, DC-DC chargers, motorized water and waste valves, new HDTV and A/V system, more and more... And that's just me. There are 100s of others here who have done every imaginable kind of upgrade, from the artistic to highly technical. Just start reading the pages. 🤣 I like working the mods as you seem to. That's why buying a used Oliver was right for us. We spent less up front, allowing for available funds to make our special changes. One mod post example --5 points

@burntcookie As previously stated, the level of knowledge, help and support on this forum is outstanding. Lots of experience that is readily shared. We've made several mods on ours and help has always been there. I can't say enough good things about this group - a huge advantage of owning an Oliver that is not really marketed enough! (No, I am not getting paid for this announcement 😄)3 points

I do know an LE2 owner who recently removed his composting toilet and installed the standard black tank. He called Oliver and they gave him the model # and all the information to order the required parts to make it happen. All compost toilet equipped LE1 and LE2s still come with the blank tank from the production plant. It’s a straight forward retro fit if you’re going from Compost to standard toilet. It’s a bit more of an involved install if you’re going from a standard to compost toilet. Also this owner did sell his composting toilet fairly quickly on Craigslist. Welcome to the forum and we are all happy to help out! Ask away! Patriot🇺🇸3 points

Welcome to the forum! You must have really hit a one heck of a pot hole..wow! I don’t think you can just replace the mirror, you’re likely in for a whole new door and frame. Let us know what you learn from Oliver Service. Also please list your Hull # and model year of your Oliver. It is really helpful for forum members to help out when answering your questions or if you have an issue.3 points

Your best source of experts will be found right here. There's more knowledge and experience among the owners than any other place, including Oliver.2 points

@Roger A few thoughts….The Little Giant ladder has little robust aluminum tabs on each end of the plank that drop down and lock the plank to the Lil Giant ladder rung. If you already have two or three Little Giant ladders you may only need the plank(s). Personally I would not use the plank on a standard ladder where the locking tabs may not engage properly. These locking safety tabs keep that plank from any side to side movement which could result in the plank slipping off the rung. Once set up properly, the system is rock solid.2 points

Never mind the blower I am jealous of all you folks with the hangers to keep trailer in and work on. 😆2 points

I am using an older (now) Stihl BGA 86 running at 36V, 459 cfm and 154 mph. It is a camping essential for cleaning off our mat in front of the Olie door but never thought of using it for drying off the Oli after washing. So, thank you guys for yet another great idea.2 points

One of the things that happened on my 48 day trip, the 2 lights over the sink and stove became intermittent.2 points

I finally have my appointment on Monday. I’ll be driving just over an hour each way. Much better than back to home base in Tennessee.2 points

I got my truma recall done today hassle free but had to drive 2 hours both ways.2 points

I went ahead and started a thread for this Smart Thermostat. I just installed it for my Pioneer Inverter and it works like a charm. Fan shuts down with the compressor. A wonderful little gadget. Thank you folks for showing us this. All I did was use the USB port in the Ollie for power and it was a "Breez" to get connected. Thanks for schooling us on the comfort modes too.1 point

Check out our website blogs for many various upgrades and changes we've made. I'll start you out with the Battery and Inverter Upgrade along with DC/DC charger post. You'll see even more once you look it over: 4-ever-hitched.com - Oliver Upgrades1 point

Yes...that is what Oliver sent me a few months ago. I like them better. Bezel was difficult to twist off the first time but easy after that. 3 screws and slightly different hole pattern...NO MORE RIVETS...YAY! Good luck John1 point

Oliver service will send parts, I’ve asked them for various parts over the years. If you submit a trouble ticket asking about whatever you are planning on doing you will likely get a helpful answer from the service guys. Most owners that do upgrades get their parts from Amazon, RV supply places or elsewhere. There is a lot of experience and expertise on this forum. If you plan on doing an upgrade chances are someone has already done it and can provide lots of guidance and advice. Mike1 point

OTT is there by phone or entering a service ticket. I've not yet ordered parts from them but many owners do and many also go to them for service and upgrades. That becomes expensive, too far for me, and it's not DIY! The components I've added are Victron (OTT installs Xantrex), Epoch batteries (OTT Lithionics), Samsung 32" M80D 4K UHD Slimfit TV in white (OTT installs clunker 24" TVs in black), motorized water valves (OTT manual valves), Alcan Springs, Timken bearings (OTT Dexter), soon new A/C (not OTT supplied Dometic or Truma products) so there's that too. 🤣1 point

Yes, interesting that every era of Oliver is different. Either method is good as well as the wire you disconnect is well insulated. Keep in mind the wire is hot unless you disconnect it at both sides. I kept mine connected at the harness in case of some future need.1 point

Another way, disconnected the wire connected to the Aux 12V power pin in the trailer’s plug in Mike’s 7 pin diagram. The wire connected to the Aux 12V power pin on my Ollie was black, but highly recommend testing with a Volt meter to be sure it’s the 12V hot before disconnecting. I used electrical tape to prevent hot wire from contacting other pins or if you have heat shrink, it makes a nice job.1 point

Perhaps easier than disconnecting at the harness would be to disconnect it from your positive bus, likely under the streetside bed. It will be the black wire in the photo where you see the screw unscrewed and disconnected left side of the photo. Tape it up and tie it up somewhere off the floor. I used heat shrink to cover it and wire-tied it to a cable. I would first test for power at the trailer harness (black to white wire or ground) and after disconnecting check again to see that you got the correct wire and that there is no longer power at the harness.1 point

Must be a beast running on 56V producing 765 CFM! My DeWalt runs on 20V producing 430 CFM. Works well enough though and I stick to one brand, one battery type for the half dozen power tools we bring; Dewalt flashlights, vacuum, impact and sawzall, that all share batteries. Have the battery charger mounted in the Oliver Attic! Just purchased two 10Ah batteries and one alone runs our Starlink dish for over 8 hours!1 point

Update: Our 2019 is part of the recall. Oliver shipped the new burner to a local repair center. Upon installation they found another issue with some internal parts and the unit would not pass inspection tests. Since our first unit had failed at year 2, and already been replaced due to a different manufacturer defect I re-connected with Truma and explained that we have had 2 water heaters, each with a different manufacturing defect. Truma didn’t hesitate and waived their normal warranty and shipped us a new water heater and door assembly. (Our door was warped from fires.) Our new unit has the new crimped burners with the loc tight on the burner feed line coupler. The tech putting in the unit forgot to install the controller wire and gas line grommet, but I was able to address those errors and test before our current trip. The old unit was requested returned by truma from the installer along with the un-used burner. So far so good on this 3rd Truma water heater.1 point
