John, I am glad it is working for you! One thing I have also learned about the unit is you MUST lift up the baffle at the top or it just doesn't work very well. Don't ask how I learned this (more than once 😁). I am thinking about removing the baffle so that I don't forget to open it in the future.3 points

Thank you our Friend @John Dorrer for starting this thread of Holiday Cheer! Not yet a White Christmas down here, but they say it might be coming one night this week (picture taken Christmas 2024)! I'm sure some of you are buried deep in snow already. Best wishes! Every New Year we are all blessed in our Oliver travels! 😂3 points

We have a tradition to see the city lights after dinner on Christmas Eve! In Prescott we have a crazy neighbor who ALWAYS dresses their house up BIG! Three yards of decorations and they broadcast Christmas music on FM to hear in your car while you take in the views. Always a line of visitors every night from Thanksgiving to New Years! Too bad the couple in the Prescott Christmas City video did not know of this place! 🤣2 points

Maybe not, maybe yes. But sadly, you'll not likely to ever know. But far more likely it WAS damaged and returned by a pevious customer. And they reboxed it and sold it again. The odds of them actually testing a return is IMO near the low side of zero. Now that's a percentage I would love to see from Amazon Returns.... 🙂 GJ2 points

Hmm sounds like a good plan. Despite my earlier admonishment that I was swearing off any further attempts at a solution, I did purchase a very long cleaning brush used to clean out sunroof drains and was going to take another run at this drain issue in Feb when we are in the keys. I will keep you informed.1 point

I’ve literally returns several hundred items… They still love me though since we’ve purchased several thousands of items! 🤣1 point

Roger, I did as you suggested and got a new one when the price dropped to $98. I have had it plugged in and running 24/7 for a week now after letting it sit upright for over 24 hours. I am getting about a cup of water daily in the tank, so am pleased with how it's working. I do have a Vornado heater running at low fan speed and the Truma set at 50°. I have all the cabinet doors open. I am happy with it. John1 point

A broken or loose connection anywhere in the entire plumbing system will cause a loss of pressure. Begin at the pump. Check connections there and make sure the filter bowl is tight. Work outward from there. If you have an accumulator tank you may need to pressurize it also.1 point

For those interested in Alfred Burt carols, this should give you a few of them:1 point

Also and the Swingle Singers. My family used to go caroling every year, four-part-harmony with eight of us including my cousins. We sang some of these, and a lot of the Alfred Burt carols (4 part harmony). Joyous tidings!1 point

It doesn't. It is often sucked in. For example, It often is a "Sucked In" by the pump from a loose or faulty fitting on the draw side. If boondockng mode, it is ususally your hose bibb connection having a bad hose rubber gasket or is not tight. Such conditions will really slow down the transport of water from your gerry can into the pump and FWT. Just one example. Another is having a loose connection sucking air in the line that runs from the FWT to the pump. Etc. GJ1 point

The 24 hours is sort of a standard. But the temperatue of the unit when it was not upright is a significant factor. The units typically sit in a warehouse. It may have "tempered air" not for the stored stuff, but for the workers. Then off into truck, train, and aircraft... all with potentially extremely low temp's. The warmer unit flows oil and refergerant down to the bottom of the coils. You get it, set upright and it may or may not come up to full room temperature before it is turned on. The oil/refergerant is viscus. The pump often does not have the power to move that incompressable fluid, rotor locks, amps surge, and blows the fuse. It would be wise to recommend 24 hours in a warm area to avoid this scenario. Then store it upright at all times. GJ1 point
