This only occurs when you're connected/towing and should not be an issue, given engine runing, alternator charging. Ever test voltage after your truck has been sitting for 24-28 hours? This would be a first step. You need to get your truck diagnosed independent of the Oliver. Your truck being weak starting could be battery, starter motor, ground or an assortment of issues (again nothing to do with the Oliver). Best wishes, JD3 points

We haven’t needed our router yet. With the dish on the box on the tongue we get a strong signal. I’ve now got it on the truck tonneau cover, we’re under a lot of trees (Lake Tahoe, CA). Even with a narrow view of the sky it’s working well. My sophisticated mount. Sky view. There’s a bunch of satellites racing through that blue patch.3 points

Yep, me too which is great. No sense liking what's not goin' to happen! We like our walls and windows and all our necessary corrections and wonderful mods! Our hull is turning 10-years-old this fall. Should have it another 10, or 20, and keep it in the family...2 points

Greetings to the Oliver that passed me on August 13th around 3:20pm -- you were heading south on Rte 28 in Wyoming -- over the South Pass (just a bit north of Hudson WY I think) -- I flashed my lights. I think I saw Red and Blue color on the Oliver front decal?2 points

In addition to the induction cooktop change, it was also noted that the cooktop orientation will be changed back to left/right instead of front/back. I don't know if induction cooktops have a cover like the propane version, but it was nice having the cover protect the bedding from any splatter. Also having the cooktop oriented front/back gave more prep space between it and the sink. I hope the induction cooktop is an option, and propane is still available. Especially for buyers not getting the big lithium packages. We don't have any pots or pans in the trailer or at home that would function on an induction cooktop other than a porcelain dutch oven and the few cast iron skillets I still use. I wouldn't want to have to buy all new cookware.2 points

I received two emails from SL on 8/13. One is titled "Action Requested: Switch to Standby Mode" and the other is titled "Terms of Service Update".2 points

Since it only happens while towing, the first thing I would check is to make sure that the charge/aux wire isn't connected to the trailer batteries. I see you have the lithium platinum package so it shouldn't be, but I would check that first anyway to confirm.2 points

For those members who don’t do FB, here is recent pic of a few 26 YM interior updates from the Oliver FB page. I am seeing the fiber-granite sinks, a vent over the closet door where the pervious speaker use to be mounted. A new Bluetooth speaker, induction cook top, a texture wet bath wall, under cabinet switch lights, a new bath door, and the white belly band. 🇺🇸2 points

We use the built-in audio quite a bit. When we stream video to the TV we use the ARC channel to put the audio on the speakers. We also like to find local FM stations, especially the little independent ones, that have things like farm reports and swap meets. If Steph sleeps in, I use the A/B speaker selector to choose only the front speakers. I have music on a flash drive in the Furrion head as well and, once in a while, we'll break out a DVD.2 points

We had that experience at home while testing in the driveway. Once I got into the house the signal dropped, still had a bar but it was noticeable. I deployed the mini router and the situation was fixed. I guess it depends on the number of walls the signal has to go through. We’re now at Lassen National Park, the tree coverage is more dense but I found a small opening and the Starlink is doing its thing. Mike1 point

I’m really happy with the results! The 100W panel is regularly getting 70W, during the day, sitting flat, not angled to the sun. When getting high of 75W it handles the 5.6A required by the CFX5 with compressor running (observed 0A with compressor OFF, 3.7A lowest reading with compressor running and 5.6A highest reading), plus another +0.4A charging the TV starter batteries. This adds to 6A provided by solar. The Pepwave router was also running behind the scenes and it draws +/- 1A. This particular Victron SC has a terminal for 3 pairs of wires (see graphic). One pair for the battery (BATT), Solar Panel input (PV) and LOAD an output circuit. I thought this is a handy extra. I could have wired the CFX5 cooler to battery, but this LOAD circuit allows for special monitoring (the Pepwave is wired directly to the batteries).1 point

This means your truck alternator and starter batteries are fine. What is the SOC% of your LiFePO$ House Batteries when starting attached is an issue? You really need to test. It reads like this wire is hot, connected to your house batteries (shown RED in the picture, but it's the BLACK wire in the Oliver trailer harness). If it is, and until you can correct this, you need to disconnect the trailer harness whenever your truck engine is off for more than a short break. Anybody that does not have a multimeter and knows how to use it, should get a test light and learn to use it. This is all you need for this test (plus maybe a nail to use as a second pointer to touch inside the harness coupler): https://www.amazon.com/WINAMOO-Premium-Automotive-Extended-Circuits/dp/B08D9RY532/?th=11 point

Looking good Mike! Thanks for the field feedback on not needing the router. Perfect northern exposure and no obstruction is key! We had the same great reception last fall while out west, I see no need for the router for our use. Safe Travels!1 point

Yeah, I was suprised to find a residential-type galvanized junction box for the 7-pin connection....but it was located close to where the 7-pin trailer wire comes into the hull behind the propane tanks. My 7-pin cable was damaged and I found it easy to replace it with a new one while I was in there. It seems to work just fine...1 point

Not a fan of wallpaper/texture look on the wall. I've always hated the cheap, dingy wallpaper look on the interior of so many other RVs. Always loved the clean, nautical feel of the bright white fiberglass in the Oliver. Its a double hull fiberglass trailer so embrace that! Leave it to individual owners if they want to cover the fiberglass with something. I'm not sure I like the new windows either, which sure seem to have less airflow. On the plus-side, it does provide rain protection. My trailer is usually my basecamp and I often leave the windows open when I leave for the day's adventure to keep it cooler inside. I worry that if a rainstorm comes up before I return then it can get wet inside the trailer (Colorado is notorious for quick-forming afternooon thundershowers in the summer). I wonder how much more privacy the new windows add with the dark tint? Assume it is significant and the new roller shade is a full shade only? Does the dark tint result in less light transmission and a darker feel inside? I like light-and-bright!1 point

My TV is a 2018 F150 5.0L V8 with 76,000 miles. (32,000 miles towing) Over the years, I have also experienced rare slow crank during startups. One time, I even replaced my battery even though the mechanic said it appeared to be OK. (Dang!). I'm up in Canada now and recently went through some slow and painful rush hour traffic in Vancouver for over 45 minutes. after exiting the traffic jam, I pulled over at a rest stop and shut off the engine for about 5 minutes. during the restart, all I heard was one - single - crank - of the engine and nothing else, over and over again. Crap! Engine temp gauge appeared normal. Eventually, I called roadside assistance and the helpful responder arrived 45 minutes later, and with his electronic wizardry, he checked out my battery and alternator, both checked out great. Battery had 12.4 volts and alternator was charging normally. Before having him attach his jumper cables, I attempted a start on my own, and whattaya know, she cranked up instantly. Go figure. I thanked the mechanic and gave him rave reviews online. Now I'm wondering if time passed allowed the starter to cool down enough for a normal start. After a dive into the F150 chat rooms / forums, I've learned there may be a weakness in these starters when they have been overheated, such as might occur through towing in warm stop and go traffic for a long time. Hmmmmmmmmmm, After returning home in about 2 months, I will take a much deeper dive into this situation and consider another starter, of a different type, that will work for this application. I also intend to disable the auto-stop feature when not towing (it is already disabled during towing) to limit the cycles on the starter.1 point

Yes Weird. So we're looking for a large parasitic draw only when the trailer is plugged into the truck? Things that come to mind: a short in the trailer somewhere, a problem with the trailer brake system, and a long shot. You have the lithium system and lithiums are very good at taking a charge. If your lithium batteries are at a lower voltage than your vehicle battery and IF, somehow, the two systems were connected, your truck battery could be trying to charge your lithiums. But, that's a real long shot, especially if this is a new problem you haven't seen before and you haven't made any changes to the electrical system. One way to find out. With the trailer disconnected, check for 12V on the trailer's Aux 12v Power pin. It shouldn't be there with the lithium package.1 point

And, unless you are about the size of and have the agility of a spider monkey, forget about getting your head inside to see and your arm (forget both arms also) inside to work at the same time. But, taking out the vanity insert and replacing it with an access door is one of the handiest mods I've done. I literally use that access all the time.1 point

There are flip up windows that open to the horizontal position. 3" will allow little air flow. Bummer.1 point

Good eye! Not as subtle in difference as the other changes mentioned.1 point

I have a 2019 and don’t have a fuse for zamp there. Our zamp fuse holder looks like that but is located in street side rear area by the rear wheel well. Our zamp connecter is on the side of the trailer just past the battery box. Maybe your zamp connector is near that fuse. Do you have a composting toilet? Did you follow the wires & look where the wires connect?1 point

To put a bow on this one, the replacement of the circulation pump (Oliver service) resolved the issue. Hot water is flowing. Thanks all for the responses. In the end, probably not something I would tackle on my own. Took about 4 ish hours from diagnostic to covers back on. Spent most of the time reading and drinking coffee at the Rock House cafe in Hohenwald. Nice little coffee shop if you ever need somewhere to hang out. 🙂1 point

Just to add one more data point, I made a frame with some aluminum angles, and mounted the camera itself on a vertical plate. I used a pair of rubber “bands” that mount the display on the rear view mirror. That makes it natural for a rear view. I have had no signal problems with the setup. I could not use the Furrion. I was actually surprised that it was so poor. My next step is to put another camera on the rear of my cap so that I always have a hi quality rear view.1 point

I would prefer an induction stovetop with the lithium power packages...1 point

I gotta try this! True most of the time for most of us? Then it’s worth twice $5/mo! 🤣 I love Elon when he’s not arguing with the President. When he is, our Tesla stock goes down, but today it's >$100 a share higher than when they were fire-bombing EVs at Tesla dealerships! ‘twas the time to buy! He’s got my $5/mo!!! 🤣1 point

Back in the 1990's, I downloaded hundreds of hours of music (Napster anyone?) over dial-up. It usually took about 2-3 times the length of the song to get it downloaded, if it didn't fail. Then came DSL, Oh my Goodness, it was usually finished before I could queue up the next download. My goal was to get and catalog every Billboard Hot 100 single from 1940-1999. It took me 10 years. Anybody have a request from that era?1 point

We’ve been camping in Great Basin National Park in eastern Nevada the last few days. Our campground (Upper Lehman) is at about 7,700 feet, small and no hookups. There are only a few sites large enough for our Oliver. We’re pretty happy with our site, #3. There are a few other campgrounds, also small. The Wheeler Peak campground is at 10,000 feet. We went up there and did a 3 mile hike to a couple of alpine lakes. The air can be a little thin up there when hiking uphill!1 point

I don’t mind supporting the infrastructure at that amount, which is likely their intention. They haven’t disclosed at what speed they will limit speed to. Unlimited data at low speed, depending upon the speed, may not be all that useful. AT&T did that to our cellular plan which rendered it virtually useless.1 point

I’m okay with this change. It will be interesting to see how low “low-speed data” is. We’re currently camped at Great Basin National Park with very sketchy cell service and the Starlink mini is working great. No utilities here so I’m using a Jackery power supply that was 50% off on Amazon prime day. No complaints. Mike1 point

We use to use our interior speakers occasionally as well. More often we use a set of portable JBL Flip 6 Bluetooth speakers and stream XM radio music or news sourced from our iphones or iPad. The sound is excellent and they are super portable! We are very happy with the Flip 6’s. They typically live on our Yamaha Umax, (pic) unless we are traveling in XPLOR. https://www.amazon.com/JBL-Flip-Bluetooth-Waterproof-PartyBoost/dp/B09RQ47HC8/ref=sr In this pic I have the set attached to our Yamaha Umax 2+2. I would not hesitate to buy again. 🎶1 point

We use the speakers quite a bit. I bought a small used SiriusXM receiver from Amazon 7 or 8 years ago. I wired it into the Furrion and we can listen to news, sports and any of the music stations wherever we are. Mike1 point

Ditto on the audio with the 4 speakers. Often we don't get a cell signal so pulling in something FM or listening to an old CD is our only fix to our technology addiction. After two years we have never used the TV. I have considered removing it.1 point

Turn off AC Breaker and Remove Furnace Fuse Step 1 Remove Interior Trims and Screws. Step 2 Remove the 4 Mounting bolts from Inside cabin. Step 3 Take a picture of the wiring Step 4 Disconnect all wiring to the Control Box and disconnect drain hose Step 5 use a little Braid fishing line up on the roof to cut the seal on 1 corner of the AC mounting gasket. Step 6 Break loose the unit by picking up on the Braid loosened corner then working your way to each corner until unil is no longer attached Step 7 Remove old rooftop unit Step 8 Clean the residue from the old gasket with any type of oil even vegetable or olive will work, Scrub the oil off after. Step 9 set the roof top unit in place. All the foam seal and leveling is attached don't overthink it just mount it. Hole is perfect size already. Step 10 Open Dometic Furnace and use a continuity tester to ID the 2 wire from the Furnace. They were blue on the Furnace but changed to blue and green somewhere before arriving up at the interior hole on my Ollie Step 11 Remove Dometic Thermostat and ID the wires to the Interior hole. I had a 3 wire Green, Red, White. Step 12 wire 2 wires from Furnace to Red and white going to ThermoStat. Push the wires into the channel the wires are in up top to get them out of the way Step 13 Cut off drain pipe even with opening. No longer needed Step 14 Eye up 4 mounting bolt holes in the square hole and make them even spaced to each corner. Mine used the 2 inch one. Step 15 Apply the correct thickness foam seal to the Unit or bottom bracket. Step 16 Mount the bracket make be sure to feed the wires through the big opening. Step 17 Connect the connectors and hook up power wire Step 18 Torque the bolts to 3.5 lbs Step 19 Install the trims Step 20 Install the batteries in the remote. Turn on the breaker and fire it up Refrain from using the LED lights for at least a day the Joy of the New AC and then the lights will be too much for your body to take in 1 sitting! Get a 2 wire Heat Only Thermostat for the Furnace. I will post the one I got later. Wire it up and install the fuse. Enjoy I may of forgotten a few things but you Geniuses can help me with that. ;^)) The Interior trim is much smaller than the Dometic, There will be 2 screw holes showing, I am thinking just get 2 screws with finish washers and fill the hole. Let me know if there's an easier fix.1 point

I installed the Pioneer A/C. Went very smooth. They make it easy. All the foam insulating collar and vibration pads are adhered to the unit. Just clean up the residue from the old unit and install it. Much quieter than the Dometic. Draws anywhere from 64 watts on fan and 500 to 700 watts when the compressor kicks on. Runs effortlessly on my inverter with no shore power.1 point

We were in Ouray last fall and were heading to Great sand dunes after that so we had the same decision to make. We had driven down to Silverton without the trailer and that was exciting enough. Woke up the day of departure and it was raining so 550 was a no go for us. Headed north back up through Montrose then 50 towards Gunnison. If there is even the slightest chance of rain I would avoid it.0 points
