These were the first four I added five years ago. They came from an artist in the UK. There is another one of these scampering along below the pantry, no pic of that one. Then I found some really cool ones, they came from an Etsy seller in Kazakhstan (!) and it took about a month to get them. ... Realistic 3D Mouse Wall Sticker - dannydecorstudio What I like best about the newer ones is the shadows, I positioned them in locations where the cabin lights would shine on them from the correct angle. They look crazy realistic under artificial lighting... "Mouse" needs a bath badly after 10 miles of gravel roads after using the Air Command AC the day before - it has no inside condensate drain. oops: John Davies Spokane WA9 points

Well we are finally ready for delivery day-take 2. It's been a long four weeks but we are ready and excited to finally pick up Ollie-Haus. I'll be pulling out Wednesday at 5am for a 1pm appointment. Truck is loaded and I've got my list of questions and a notepad to help remember the flood of information I'm about to receive. Stacie is staying home this go-round, she's got work commitments she can't get out of due to vacation scheduled next week for the rally. I think we will be the newest LE2 at the rally, unless someone newer hasn't announced their attending yet. Home to Indiana on Friday if all goes well and than turn around on Monday and head back south with wife and doggies loaded. It's been a long six months since we ordered, and yet it's been a whirlwind of activity preparing for this day. Looks like the weather is going to be decent for the drive down, love that I'm able to make the trip during the Spring season. Thanks to our friend @Patriot, who is down at Oliver Service for an AC upgrade, we have been given a glimpse of our completed LE2 as he was able to identify it in the holding area next to the Oliver camp sites and send us a picture last evening. It was the only one with burgundy Oliver Graphics. Stacie started crying when she saw it. I think she's more excited than I am! Thanks a million David and Kathy! After years of planning we are finally at the threshold of a new chapter of fun and adventure. Look out America, here comes a couple of crazy old people prowling the back roads for adventure!🤣5 points

I have 16 screws and titanium rods in my back. Blew 5 disks. Any kind of stress relief to take the bounce out of walking helps. I do lay down and do strengthening excercises on my back. Just a little mod to help me out. Thanks5 points

Fuel powered generators output AC voltage not DC voltage. A 2000 watt generator running at full throttle will output 120 VAC or about 16 amps (Amps = Watts / Volts). RV generators provide AC power to run whatever charger/converter you have onboard. The charger/converter outputs the DC power to charge your batteries and/or run your 12 volt devices.4 points

It won’t charge in 1.5 hours. The battery charger won’t allow the full 2000 watts available from the generator to be used. So you have to change that value on that website calculator. Change the charge current to amps and enter 50 amps.4 points

Added some Interlocking floor matts from pieces I had laying around (Pieced down to the last drop of them). Does not look too pleasing to the eye but my rugs do cover most of them and they do feel comfy on my back. Having back issues I am always looking for any relief I can get and they keep you warm those colder days. Had in my last camper and love them. Only negativies could be cleaning around them and possible water under them that could cause issues. We do not wear our shoes inside.4 points

Hello Liana. My 2018 OE2 is the same model year as yours (Hull 342). Your inverter display is saying you have no 120 V power. Which one do you have? So first lets look at the power supply into the trailer. My assumption is that you do not have a multimeter. A. Take a 120 Volt appliance that you know works and plug it into your home or RV park outlet. This is just to ensure you have 120 V power there. B. Hook up your Shore power cord to the verified power source. On the trailer end there is a small LED light. If you have power to the cord end at trailer, then your cord is good. Connect it to the trailer. C. Now open up the street side bed and check the Progressive Industries Surge Protection System for power status. It looks like this. The small box is where it will talk to you. Looking at the small display LED,s here are the Display Codes. You should have power here. Advise if not. Advise if you have a display code. here is the chart. If you have power to the PI smart surge protector, then next step is to go to the breakers under the dining table, aft end. Check the 20 amp breaker. Turn the breaker OFF, and then reset it. Did the breaker imediatedly trip? Is it "Soft"? If you have power into the panel, cycle on the Air Conditioner. did it work? IF yes, you have power at the electrical panel. Hence likely is a bad 20 amp breaker to the GFCI or the GFCI itself is bad. Let us know what you find out before we go to Phase II. @johnwen Thank you for posting up your issue with the condensate tubes. We just arrived at Camp Oliver for the Truma retrofit tomorrow, Tues and Wed. I will hopefully get a little time to talk with Jason in the morning making sure to preempt this issue from occurring. We plan on giving the new Truma a really good shakedown next Wednesday afternoon and evening before leaving Camp Oliver Thursday morning. We’ll also be at the Rally for 8 days and if we have any issues we’ll just return to Oliver and get it addressed. Look forward to meeting you John. Go Air Force! Patriot🇺🇸4 points

I'd bet that your front jack is a replacement for the original jack that was in this location. When the front storage basket was introduced it was necessary to rotate the front jack in order to make room for the basket while at the same time allow for the top of the "dog house" to be removed. In turn - this caused the light on the front of the jack to now be shining to the side versus the front. One way to tell if any Oliver is of the "older variety" is to look for this turned front jack. Most likely, neither fuse is blown. the front (outside) fuse holder is likely corroded inside and the fuse in not making good contact. Ours does this all the time. Clean the inside of the fuse holder (both sides) and the tips of the 30A fuse. Replace it and rotate it a few times to make better contact. Let us know if this helps. And complaining to Oliver (or anyone, for that matter) is more likely to get you nothing rather than something. The wiring diagrams were deleted for a reason that Oliver is not sharing with just anyone.3 points

I have the 2021 version (same except 340 Watt Zamp solar). You indicated interest in a powerful Champion generator, which may mean you intend to operate AC without shore power. If that's the case you should consider the Platinum package with 630A batteries if you are willing to spend the money and there is still time to change your order. The Champion conflicts with your original statement about having an "as small as possible" generator. The following assumes a small generator. For winter storage I purchased an external charger that will operate off of a 15A circuit and outputs 20A to the batteries. I have a 20A outlet available at my storage location. I hook up the charger and turn on the battery heating pads. The Xantrex Pro 3000w inverter remains Off with no shore power. See the Lithionics Storage Procedure for more information. One time we arrived at a campground that had sagging voltage and could not use the Xantrex because the AC power would be shut down by the EMS during the frequent sags. Solar was insufficient at that campsite and time of year. The campground lent us a voltage regulator (I do not have a generator). My meter said that the separate 120v circuit was stable. Thus having the spare charger could have been used in that situation. It might be usable in yours too, if you are willing to operate in low consumption mode (no AC, no microwave) while charging. The Xantrex charge output is configurable, and I believe the default is set to 150A at 14.4V (or 1860 watts). This is equivalent to 18A at 120v. At that rate it should charge fully depleted batteries in a few hours (given its charging states that slow down charging at the end of the cycle). Keep in mind that this is the charge output. The input power required should be somewhat higher. If your generator won't handle that, you can configure the charge output down to as low as 5A. My solar can optimally output up to 150ah per day (full summer sun all day long). Yours should meet or exceed that. A 20A charger should be able to output 20A x 24h = 480ah per day in theory, so it should be able to fully charge your batteries in less than one day. If your generator fuel tank lasts 8 hours then you should be able to replace 160ah in that amount of time (not counting solar). See here for more info on external chargers. I finally bought the Lithionics charger directly from Lithionics for $199. At some point I will follow up on that post explaining why I chose it and how I hook it up and place it in the battery compartment. Good to have handy should the Xantrex fail.2 points

When I added one in 2017, it was also too strong. I moved the magnet from the outside of the dinette seat to inside and it works perfect, plus you can’t see anything on the side of the seat, just the white magnet on the bottom of the door. RV Door Magnet on Amazon Mike2 points

Overall just remember that watts = volts x amps Beyond that there are efficiency losses (think heat produced by the charger/inverter) and current limits (amps) on the batteries and chargers. Most batteries have a current limit on the batteries that should be observed for battery longevity. However, this current is per battery. So if you have a bank of batteries, like three 100ah BB’s (50 amps each charge rate), the charger could theoretically be set at 150 amps.2 points

We used these: https://a.co/d/fZyEGex but found they were a bit too strong. The bathroom door flexed too much when releasing, so I added a clear silicone bumper to one of them for a bit of separation.2 points

So you lie down on the floor for back pain relief? Does that work very well? How often do you do it? I am in the Oliver “Do What Works Best, Not What Looks Like a Professionally Staged Home” camp. If it does its job well, go for it. It looks as if you are in the same camp 😉 John Davies Spokane WA2 points

There are TWO fuses For the front jack, the one you can see hanging in midair up front in the yellow rubber holder, and another in back next to the other two yellow jack fuses. If neither fuse is blown then check for 12 volt power on the wire where it connects to the bus, in back. Then followup by checking up front. If there is power, then you may have ground issue, the three bolts holding the base in place do get loose, constantly, and that is the ground path for the current after it flows through the motor.. Of course you may have a burned out motor too. But you need to eliminate the more obvious possibilities. Oliver stopped supplying wiring diagrams a few years ago, you need to complain BITTERLY to Service, in the meantime refer back to an older year, this is from 2017. And note that it does not show the second fuse up front! John Davies Spokane WA2 points

Chris, I apologize for my mistake. Had I closely read what you wrote, I would have realized I was barking up the wrong tree. I remember your trailer being built to "Jim Oliver" specs and, of course, would have had the 5200 pound axles installed. He and I shared a mutual philosophy, bigger and stronger is always better, there's no such thing as being over-built and the only time you have too much fuel is when you're on fire.2 points

Jack shaft up. I encountered a frozen jack once, it would not budge in either direction. Knowing which way to relieve the load might be useful next time. The problem was actually (really) loose mounting bolts through the frame. John Davies Spokane WA2 points

We bought some bi-facial panels from a Michigan company. We had to modify the mounts, and bought some bits from am solar to do that. The panels have worked great for us, though not UL listed. It was a few years ago. Panels keep improving, so keep watching. Our panels are a different arrangement than the elite 2's, and also different from most elite 1's, as ours are side mounted, so we had to measure carefully. So will you. @MAX Burner, I'll look through the archives and see if I can find the manufacturer name for you. It's severalbyears back, and manyvprojrcts ago, and it escapes me at the moment. We replaced two 2008 Era 100 wathe tt panels, so the 200 watt were a bit longer, and a bit wider. (Not a lot, but enough to have to modify the mounts.) I love the concept of the Zamp Obsidians, but way too expensive for me. I also like the stats on NewPowa and SunPower. We used SunPower flex panels on the boat's curved hardtop. There are many good panels out there, today. We are solar powered on our home, our boat, and our Ollie, and love the clean, quiet (free, after install) energy. Eight years into our home, install has already paid back. We feel that the boat and trailer have paid back in sustained battery life, and increased range. (Not yet in cost, probably, like the house.)1 point

That is primarily an illustration of why a Jeep owner “airs down” when going onto loose terrain. Wider footprint, more grip, less spinning and trail damage, at the expense of slightly lower ground clearance... It also shows why the tires’ rolling resistance goes up when you deflate your Ollie from 80 to 40 psi. It’s interesting to see that the footprint doubles in area between 40 and 15, but the change is a whole lot less dramatic above 40 psi.,. My sweet spot is 42, because I do minimal Interstate cruising, but lots of back highways and less that ideal road surfaces, AKA POTHOLES. Hit a 3 or 4 inch deep pothole at 50 mph with rock hard tires and you will think your trailer exploded. This shows a main arterial route here in Spokane, where we get lots of freeze thaw cycles. It also shows why the center stripe paint gets worn off so fast, all those studded tires on cars avoiding the holes BTW one of the local weather reporters calls the arteries “artillery” routes. It’s a hoot. John Davies Spokane WA1 point

Are you sure that this steel not simply been bent and/or molded/extruded in this manner versus "welded"? I've never examined one of these steel brackets closely, but, I always thought that they were simply reasonably heavy "L" channel. Bill1 point

Everyone - please note. I have never heard of any of the aluminum brackets failing as long as they were welded properly in the first place. The issue with the bracket in the photos above is that while there was a "spot" weld completed on the one side of the bracket, the finish weld that should have gone across the entire length of the bracket on that side - as it did on the reverse side - was never completed. And that is the reason the bracket failed. Those with aluminum brackets that are welded on both sides of the bracket should experience no issues. Recalls and/or Service bulletins are only issued if there is a known problem that affects a number of trailers - not a one off. Bill1 point

I think some of you miss read my post, they was not speaking of the 3/4 ton truck diesel and larger, it was for the smaller diesels in the cars and smaller midsize trucks like the Colorado, etc. VW has already announced the ending diesel production in the coming years as many manufactures are doing for both gas and diesel powered engines. My only reason for purchasing a battery power vehicle is to drive it to Walmart to pickup supplies for daily use and you know there is one on just about every corner, so hopefully it will make it there and back. trainman1 point

How about another new music Friday? Nice new jazz single from Enzo Carniel and Filippo Vignato ° Here's a quiet, almost ambient piano piece from Max Cooper and Bruce Brubaker - a version of their version of a Philip Glass standard. ° Keeping with quiet piano pieces, this is a neat one. My wife met some new clients yesterday and they told her about their son, Daniel Ketchum, who is a musician. This single of his just came out and I really like it. ° Here's something a bit more lively - a new jazzy latin thing from Eye Onomato ° And even livelier with some new swing from Club des Belugas ° And finally, something for the younger owners - UNKLE does Motown1 point
