Well, it's not like you messed up or anything. Oliver only opened the registration process recently (I registered 12/21/2022). Usually, the hard part is getting a site. We reserve for next year's rally while at this year's rally. At any rate, it sounds like you're good to go. We'll be holding court in E-05. Come by and sit with us.6 points

For anyone interested and to “wet your info appetite” pun intended. 😅 Here is a little info about Lake Guntersville. Looking forward to seeing everyone! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Guntersville_Lake Patriot 🇺🇸5 points

N00b mistake! Well, thanks to one of the Private Facebook "Oliver Trailer Owners" (I think) I realized I had not actually registered with Oliver for the rally in May. I'm good now. Make sure you're registered with Oliver. https://olivertraveltrailers.com/events/oliver-owners-rally/5 points

I got "warned" for talking censorship, an excuse that FB removed post and 'admin' came in and restored it. Then proceeded to close any further discussion. Let the New Generation roar! The devil's advocate is alive and well. Matt's explanation was well done. Maybe a copy of the "we hold you harmless" form should be published here...5 points

Back in our Casita days there was a Facebook group that ruled the same way. I think some of the same people are now Oliver owners and moderating the Oliver page. They need to lighten up.4 points

I am about to do this annual maintenance as well. In reading John's post on the procedure, I am guessing I will likely tear a gasket or two! So, I ordered some spares. You can only get them from Barker Manufacturing. (888) 367-6978 (customer service) - Bob is very nice. Price is about $5 for part number 29306. He said while the jacks are slightly different, most all use this same gasket. Wishing us both luck. Thanks again to John and Frank for all their help and support on this forum!3 points

OMG!!! I've been looking down the butt of this thing, thinking it was a holder for the spare filter! I'm not a moron, because I know how stupid this was! Now I have grave reservations about doing any of my own maintenance - lol.3 points

@Steve and Deb Absolutely. We use the term Friend or Family, but it can be anyone you refer to us. We don't care if you know them or not. If they had never contacted Oliver and you took the time to show them your trailer and they purchased a new Oliver, you would get rewarded. In the new program, you would get either $200 for Bronze or Silver tiers, $300 for Gold tier, or $400 for Platinum tier for them purchasing. And because they never had contacted Oliver, you would get a $250 bonus for them purchasing because you took the time to find them on your own. We want to encourage owners to help us find new customers. We don't pay the $50 for the field visit since we didn't qualify them first for just showing the trailer but, the owner can receive the other rewards if they do purchase. To qualify for the Field Visit Reward for just showing your trailer, it must be qualified and administered by Oliver.3 points

I announced a couple weeks back that we would be selling our Oliver after having our baby. We also decided that we would take the Oliver for one last spin with our baby for the memories. We live in central Louisiana, and our goal was to get to Grayton Beach State Park and Topsail State Park in Florida. The total drive time getting there was about 6-7 hours plus the pit stops we needed to take. For our first night though, we stayed in Baton Rouge. We arrived during a tornado watch at 10pm due to weather delays and I set up in the pouring rain. Our baby had a hard time sleeping this night as well and my wife and I decided “NOPE!” We both wanted to cancel the trip. We decided during lunch the next day to push forward and really give it a try instead of cancelling. We are so glad and thankful that we pushed forward. It was one of our favorite and sweetest camping experiences of our life. Grayton state park and Topsail state park are incredible locations if you can get a spot. The surrounding area (30A) is also very nice and family friendly with great restaurants, cafes, and breweries. Our legacy elite II twin layout worked perfectly for us. Our baby slept in one of the twin beds with a rail guard protector I installed, and I slept on the twin bed table area conversion. We will probably look into getting a custom twin bed for this spot and have it set up permanently as we rarely used the table anyway. The one issue we did run into is that our baby hates riding in the carseat, which makes a 6-7 hour drive a bit difficult. We solved this by leaving very early in the morning for the drive there and for the drive home. How early? 4AM & 3AM respectively We loved the trip so much, we decided we are not going to sell our camper for now and hold onto this to continue making special memories.2 points

All things discussed...both pro and con... have made me decided to sign. Thank you Matt Duncan for your patience and through explanations. I am sure that time might "tweak" the wording from time to time, but even the Constitution took amendments from time to time. And I wasn't even threatened by an 'admin' or FB...2 points

It looks to me that it's thorough and protects both OTT and the owner showing their trailer. I am not an attorney, but it seems to cross every "t" and dot every "i". John2 points

Understood. But, I, for one, have never agreed in writing to "fully defend and indemnify" the manufacturer of the camper, the company that made my car, or the builder of my home, if someone I invite to join me inside it decides to sue them for negligence. In my view, it is unfair for Oliver to include such an agreement in its non-negotiable Terms and Conditions.2 points

@MDuncan Ok, thank you for taking the time to clarify. We love showing our Ollie, we’ve never been referred by Oliver but have shown it too many times to count to strangers at every place we take it! We’ve even had a few message through FB that saw we have an Oliver that have come to our home and toured it, not referred by Oliver.2 points

Thanks for giving my surprise problem some of your time. In answering your question of how I drain some of the water from the freshwater tank, this is what I do. I'm refering to the "outside shower", not the inside shower. No question is a dumb question!! The check valve inside the pump is sounds like the most likely problem. If running the pump for a minute or two, then might reset that valve. Then that is something I will have to try. Thanks. Of course, I wil check to see if for some mysterious reason, the control valve that allows filling the freshwater tank from the city water imput has opened. All though, that doesn't seem likely. Thanks everyone! Charlie Hull 7342 points

If it was stuck in Clean/De-Calcify mode that would be indicated on the control panel inside the trailer with the LED blinking slowly, even if you turned the knob back to the normal mode, and you’d have to do the procedure that Rivernerd mentioned. If the LED on the interior control panel is illuminated solid when in the Normal or ECO mode and not blinking any error code pattern that means the Truma controller thinks everything is ok so the problem may be elsewhere. Double check all your water valves under the bed to make sure they are all in the correct normal position. Does the lack of hot water issue happen both when hooked to city water and when using the fresh tank & pump? You mentioned that you are winterizing also. Did you bypass the Truma as required when you winterized? This is very important! And since you have an older Ollie it may be overdue for a decalcification.2 points

As you are coming to my neck of the woods, I hope you can get your hot water working. It is indeed cold in Idaho this winter. So, I will ask some potentially stupid questions, in case you haven't thought of these steps already. Have you verified that your propane flow is consistent, perhaps by testing the cook top flame? Have you verified that the water temperature is the same at both the kitchen faucet and the bath? Have you tested the Truma Aquago in both Eco and Comfort mode? Have you let the hot water run for 30 seconds to a minute, to verify if the temperature remains lukewarm the entire time? Have you "rebooted" the Aquago? This is the "reboot" sequence: Power ON the Truma unit at the main power switch (which is the one on the unit, accessible only from the outside, not the wall control inside). Then, on the wall control, turn the water heater OFF Wait a few seconds, then turn the power to ON at the wall control. The AquaGo should now be ready to produce hot water). Have you verified that the Aquago is not stuck in clean mode? If not, you might try this sequence: None of these steps are directly linked to the "hot, then lukewarm" issue you describe. But, if I were heading to Sun Valley, I would work through all these steps before I resigned myself to having no hot water in January in Idaho! Good luck!2 points

w00t!! I just called and Lake Guntersville has a few sites reserved for situations like this. So, instead of one of the spots back in Section B, we will have a corner spot at site G23 (BINGO!) Thanks for the suggestion to call. I've been watching to reservation site every day to see if anyone has cancelled for some reason.2 points

If they are pop-rivets, they can easily be drilled out and replaced. The tools to do this are very inexpensive and handy to have around. Edit: If you wanted to you could drill out the old rivets and replace with stainless steel machine screws with nuts on the back side for a more permanent fix. Ace hardware could supply exactly what you need for a few bucks.1 point

Hello gang. Had a fabulous weekend of ski racing in Hailey Idaho. Happy to share I de-winterized successfully and the Truma worked perfectly. I’ve never decalcified the Truma as I only run Bull Run (Portland’s ridiculously pure water supply) water through it. Thank you to everyone for your help and suggestions.1 point

We have reviewed this program but defer to the information that @Rivernerdprovided. We have been in retail far to long and had to defend ourselves against a franchise in the past. This language is all too familiar. We wouldn’t move forward until the language is changed. If it is changed we would look forward to showing our Ollie and would be happy to be part of the program.1 point

You are welcome John! It's new to everyone. We will get the kinks worked out and it will be a good program. Thanks for the feeedback!1 point

We are going to review the Indemnification language hopefully tomorrow. We appreciate everyone's feedback!1 point

I think he means using the pump and the outside shower as a way to get rid of fresh water without it draining into the gray tank.1 point

Since the issue just started on your recent trip, unless you’ve recently changed valve positions to winterize or boondock, it’s doubtful that it’s a valve under the bed that suddenly changed position on its own. It’s more likely that the internal check valve in the water pump is faulty. Sometimes using the pump a bit will clear possible debris from the check valve and may fix the issue. But otherwise the pump may need replaced. And there is a fresh water tank drain valve that’s accessible from under the bed if you want to drain the fresh tank before hitting the road again.1 point
-
There's another possible cause. There's a check valve in the pump that prevents city water from backfilling into the fresh water holding tank. Pretty common failure point in all RVs.1 point

Here are some bullet points about the new Oliver Rewards Program. Hopefully it will help explain some of the questions. The new Rewards Program replaces the old Field Visit Program. Instead of getting a check mailed to you if a prospect purchases after completing a field visit, you get paid on an Oliver Rewards Mastercard Debit Card. This is not a credit card. There is no line of credit like a credit card has. There isn't a credit pull or anything. It is just a branded re-loadable gift card that we load money onto when you complete activities. You can setup a PIN to get cash out of a ATM as well. You also will get paid for just showing your travel trailer, regardless if the prospect purchases or not. We know the hours it takes to clean your trailer, to spend time with the prospects, and Oliver wants to reward you for that, which we didn't previously do. If the prospect does purchase a new Oliver, you get even more Reward Dollars after the sale is finalized - the amount depends on your tier. In this new program, you will get this reward when their order is finalized rather than waiting for checks to be mailed after delivery. As of right now, we consider the order as finalized 90 days before the production start date. So you will get this a little quicker than before. And those that want to be ambitious to get to higher tiers, they can make more Reward Dollars for the individual activities that are completed. Also, look at the Tier Perks. Those are gifts (non-taxable) you get for being a member of each tier. These are just a way of us saying thanks for you taking part in the program. The $20 service fee is new to this program. It is really a deduction of the first Reward for the year. If you don’t complete any activities for the year, you will not have to pay this fee. It is called a Service Fee but it is not an out-of-pocket expense. We will be adding more activities that people can do in the future. You will be required to submit details of completed activities on the Oliver website. This helps us make sure we are rewarding everyone properly. Now that we have over 1300 Oliver owners, we need our checks and balances to reward everyone that deserves to get them. It is a lot to keep up with and a lot more work on our part. As far as the 1099 goes, we are required by the IRS to 1099 anyone that earns $600 or more. This is not new. We had to 1099 owners in our previous Field Visit Program when individuals made $600 or more in a year. If you don't want to be 1099'd, you can still complete activities and earn less than $600 and stop doing activities once you reach the threshold. We apologize that the Terms & Condition are so much, but as a company we had to do our due diligence to protect all parties involved. With this, we have made changes how we setup field visits. For all prospects that contact us to see an owner's trailer, we now require the prospect to sign a Hold Harmless agreement that protects the owner when conducting a field visit. We have this signed by the prospect before setting up the field visit. This did not exist under the old program. We know many of you have helped us by showing your trailer in the past and didn't do it for the money, but we wanted to build a great program to reward everyone for their time and efforts to grow our brand. We are very thankful for everyone that has helped us over the years! Obviously the launch of this program is new. We will monitor and revise it as we gather feedback and where opportunities exist to make it better. If anyone has questions, please don't hesitate to message me.1 point

Thetford 42061 Aqua-Magic Style II RV Toilet Low Profile - White with sprayer. It is also available without the sprayer but you’d have to check the Thetford website for the model number. It hasn’t been fastened down yet but it’s ready to go. I had to replace the broken flange and buff out the gelcoat because the Thetford base is slightly different/smaller and the Dometic wore a faint ring in it from being loose. Then I got sidetracked by other interests yadayada. i haven’t ever had a Thetford break. Routine maintenance is easy and the parts are readily available. The whole flush pedal business is a much sturdier design and the pedal won’t bottom out directly on the beveled edge of the raised fiberglass base. Sure as you read this though, someone will counter with a different opinion.1 point

Not sure how many reservation systems it has in its database, but this is a Godsend for trying to book in Florida. We were able to successfully get 2 night reservations at multiple nice and hard to get campgrounds last week using this website. I love it. Im hesitant to share it with anyone, but everyone here deserves this site! https://wanderinglabs.com/1 point

As the years have passed we show our trailer less and less. Not a problem, I’m sure it’s due to the age of our trailer and the big increase of Oliver owners in our geographical area. None of the appliances in our trailer are the same as what is being produced now so I don’t blame Oliver asking one of the newer owners to show instead of us. We still entertain the spontaneous campground questions while we are on the road but the official showing while at home has decreased significantly. Mike1 point

Ours has never come down in more than 12,000 miles. That may be because we eliminated all the cords except power, antenna and HDMI when we recovered them with a white protective wrap. Charlie.1 point

Yes. The wall control can get accidentally bumped into clean mode. Once that happens, the Aquago will stay in clean mode until the sequence detailed in my earlier post is followed. The question asked by bhncb above is also relevant. In your shoes, unless you have recently done so, I would get some Truma decalcification tablets, run the clean cycle and see if that solves the problem.1 point

See this video for the location of the black tank flush valve, on models that are not "newer." The valve appears to be accessible under the front dinette seat, on the aft side of the black tank under the toilet.1 point

Some model years had a valve in the black tank flush line. Not sure about 2018. I think it was under one of the dinette seats. Hopefully someone more knowledgeable will pipe in on this.1 point

Correct, here’s a YouTube video where Jason actually mentions not to leave the outside shower open or it would cause the inside water to be cold….at about 16:25 time in the video1 point

Oops....added forum item: Truma Aquago Hot Water Heater FYI Went to take a shower in our new MH that has the Truma Aquago Endless Hot Water Heater this weekend and the hot water would only get luke warm. Too cool to take a shower. Two weeks ago, it worked just fine. The trouble shooting begin and after about twelve hours later, my wife reached out to Facebook for help. Luckily a quick response said to check the outside shower to make sure both the hot and cold water faucets were off, because if they wasn't, the hot and cold water would mix. Sure enough, that's what it was. FYI, make sure you turn the outside shower faucets off. __________________ Steve1 point

Wedging a custom sized pool noodle on either side of the TV (in the up position) has become one of our check list items for breaking camp. It took a couple of tries to get the right lengths (the left and right will be slightly different) but one noodle provides plenty of material to make a few attempts at it1 point

In the up position the TV hangs down from the mounting screws. I'd expect the TV case design to account for shear, since they normally hang vertically on a wall, but not for loads applied pulling against the back of the TV.1 point

The park is compact enough that you can get out and visit the other areas and talk to fellow owners. We’ve been in a couple of areas but still walk around to visit old friends and meet new owners. Many of the activities are up at the lodge or down at the lake pavilion so your camping location doesn’t matter for those events. We’ll be looking forward to meeting you and as many other new owners as we can. It’s a fun weekend. Mike1 point
